Chapter Eight
After the shock wore off Gambit finally foudn his voice. " Are you sure?" he asked as they sat down on the couch.
"Yes and if you ask me if it's yours so help me I'll---" before she finished her threat he intrrupted her with his mouth on hers. She excepted his kiss and returned it with all the passion and love she had inside of her. This was where she belonged and this was where her childern belonged they had everything here. A mother and father as well as their grandpa. Gambit raised his head from hers and looked into her eyes. He saw love there that reflected his own. He smiled down at her.
"You know cherie I like it when you're speechlees." he said as he kissed her once agian.
" You guys please get a ROOM." Jubilee said as she walked into the room and saw them kissing.
"Don't mind if we pette." he said as he picked Catrina up in his amrs and carried her upstairs.
"Geez." Jubilee said as she ploped down on the couch.
Jean found Scott she knew that she had to be honest with him about what happened between her and Logan or she would never be able to face him again. She she told him everything.
"Jean how could you do this to me?" he said hurt at her confession.
"Do this to you? Did you ever think that maybe I was lonly and needed somone to? No all you ever think of is yourself." she said surprising both herself and Scott.
"Is that why you went to him?" he asked
"No I went to him because he was hurt and needed me." she admitted
"Then you slept with him and lied about it for months. How can I ever trust you again?" he said as he stormed off.
She lost both men she admored and now she truly was alone. She let the tears finally slid down her cheeks.
"Jean?" a voic called she looked up and saw Wolverine.
"Don't come near me. I told him everything and now he's gone. I've lost him because of you so stay a way from me." she said tearfully as she went to go past him, but he stopped her.
"I'm sorry you got, but i'm not sorry about what happened between us. Don't put all the blam on me darlen." he said as he pulled her to him in a passionate kiss she returned it after at first fighting. She returned it with all the passion she had in her. suddenly they were on the bed and clothes were being ripped here and there. Jean pulled away and shoved at him as she clutched her shirt to her chest.
"No. This can't happen again. I can't hurt him like that once agian." she said as looked down at her hands.
"Jean you know it's right between us. You've felt as much as I have." he said
"I can't." she said
"Yes you can." he said as he kissed her hard on the mouth. She went to protest, but soon the protest turned into responded and she finally gave herself freely to him. Once they were doen they laid in each others arms. Jean was asleep when wolverine woke up he just held her closer to him and went back to sleep.
In the years that followed Jean and Wolverine had gotten together Scott moved on to someone else and Gambit and Catrina got married. They had a beautiful baby girl whom Catrina noticed had very speacial powers unlike hers, but in time she'd find out what they where for now she was happy. She ahd a man she loved and a father all in the same house.
