Barranquilla is a great place to practice this sport there are miles and miles of beaches where you can find perfect conditions either for slalom or wave sailing. There is plenty of wind from November to April and many times up to May.

The windsurfing community is of approximately of  50 sailors.

We have a school at Puerto Velero where we have the capacity of keeping around 60 sail rigged up. Although if you are an advanced sailor and your planning on coming down we recommend you to bring your own gear or contact some one here.
