{SEASON 1}
"Turtle Tracks"
April O'Neil is trapped in the sewer by some thugs and is rescued by the turtles. Once inside the TMNT liar, she meets Splinter, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and learns how they came to be. She doesn't trust the turtles at first, but they strike a deal, she will investigate the "Mutagen", and the turtles will get her a story on the thugs. So they dress up and go out on the streets, hoping to find more information at The Ninja Pizzaria. While April scouts the neighborhood, when she is kidnapped by three ninjas. When the turtles come out, they find a trail of April's belongings. They find her tied to a chair at the top of a building where they battle an army on mechanicle ninjas. Aroko Saki(Shredder) watches the whole thing and suspects that Hamato Yoshi(Splinter) is behind this. The Turtles are whooping the ninjas so they retreat. As they persue the ninjas they loose them and Shredder spots the turtles. He orders the ninjas to the technodrome and floods the building the turtles are in. They escape just in time and go back to the lair. There, Splinter examines the ninja outfit and is convinced it is his arch enemy, AROKO SAKI!
"Enter the Shredder"
April O'Neil and the Turtles journey through the city's sewer system to search for the thing that Shredder referred to as the Technodrome, which would have been located directly under the now destroyed MANHATTAN SECURITY SERVICES building. When they arrive they find nothing. April is convinced that the Technodrome is mobile and suggests that they travel through the immense subterranean tunnel system to continue their pursuit. But the Turtles suggest that they return to the lair and inform Splinter. Meanwhile, Shredder, who is commandeering the Technodrome in its escape, and is furious that his "mighty Foot Soldiers were defeated by a bunch of Turtles," is summoned to the bowels of the Technodrome by Krang. Krang, a gelatinous creature that looks not unlike a talking brain, is likewise upset that Shredder, despite the vast technical knowledge that Krang has provided for him, has been unable to provide the evil alien with a body so that he may "lead his legion of followers out of Dimension X and into this world to crush it." Shredder offers a feable excuse regarding their lack of safety as long as Hamato Yoshi and his Turtles roam the sewers. Krang then suggests that when Shredder tried to detroy Yoshi with the "mutagen," it, in fact made him stronger because of his contact with the rats. Shredder picks up on this line of thought and realizes that if he were to expose his own thugs to the "mutagen," along with wild animals, he could then defeat Yoshi and the Turtles. Back at the Lair, Splinter is convinced that his old enemy, Saki, is the mastermind behind the Robotic Ninjas and offers his help in tracking down the Technodrome. While he and the Turtles begin their search, April agrees to return to Channel Six to see if there have been any sightings of the Technodrome. Meanwhile, a Rhino and a Warthog are "liberated" from the city zoo by two Robotic Unicycles that have erupted through the sidewalk. Back underground, Splinter and the Turtles stumble upon the tracks/treads of the Technodrome. They are getting closer. Meanwhile, within the Technodrome, Shredder, "convinces" Rocksteady and Bebop to undergo an experiment that will enable them to get even with the Turtles. This experiment also involves the "mutagen" and the liberated Rhino and Warthog from the city zoo. At Channel Six, April's boss Vernon is unimpressed with April's progress on the theft of the hi-tech scientific equipment and reassigns her to the theft of the Rhino and Warthog from the city zoo. Outside the Channel Six building, April encounters the Turtles disguised as "breakdancers." She convinces them that the zoo theft could lead them directly to the Technodrome. Meanwhile, Splinter himself has located the Technodrome, only to be taken prisoner by one of the Robotic Unicycles. At the zoo, the Turtles climb/fall down through a hole left by the Robotic Unicycles and land at the feet of the Technodrome where they find Splinter's walking stick. Shredder suggests that they enter the Technodrome if they ever want to see Splinter alive again. Knowing a trap awaits them, they enter. After a series of obstacles (closing walls and psycho robots) the Turtles find Splinter strung up from the rafters within a cavernous room. As they prepare to cut him down, Shredder enters the room, accompanied by four of his Ninjas. He congratulates the Turtles on their prowess and suggest that they join his Foot Clan. He also suggests that they "owe everything to him" because by creating the "mutagen," in an effort to destroy Hamato Yoshi, he created the Turtles. When the Turtles refuse, Shredder summons the mutated Rocksteady and Bebop, who are easily defeated along with the other four Ninjas. The Turtles cut Splinter down and return to the city surface only to have Rocksteady and Bebop burst through the street, with laser rifles blasting. Once more, the Turtles defeat them by leading them into the city zoo and entrapping them in a cage. April arrives just in time to video tape the capture of Rocksteady and Bebop and offers the Turtles and Splinter a ride home and threatens not to let them out of her sight until she gets the whole story. The Turtles promise to tell her but, remind her that as long as Shredder is still loose, the story is not over. Moments after they leave, a lone Robotic Unicycle bores up through the Earth, breaks Rocksteady and Bebop out of their "prison," and informs them that Shredder wishes to see them.
"A Thing About Rats"
Under the city streets, deep within the Turtles lair, Splinter rests/recovers from his confrontation with Shredder (in the last episode) and the Turtles vow to find the Technodrome and to force Shredder to revert their Master back into a human. Meanwhile, Shredder relocates his base of operation within a deserted mansion within the heart of the inner city. Here, he unleashes a squadron of "Flying Mechanical Bugs," equipped with remote control cameras, in an effort to find a source for new scientific equipment. In another part of the city, a scientist/inventor named Baxter Stockman is trying to convince the Ajax Pest Control company to invest in his latest invention: the "Mouser," an armless mechanical "creature" designed to catch rats. The President of APC, throws him out on his keister "suggesting" that the Mouser would drive him out of business. However, the scientist's demonstration did not go unnoticed (thanks to Shredder's "flying bugs/cameras" and he is invited to accept Shredder's offer of employment). While the Turtles grumble about how they can't find the Technodrome but still can't give up searching, Shredder returns to the deserted mansion with Dr. Stockman and orders the meek scientist to create a master control device to control the hundreds of Mousers that he plans to assemble by dawn. Shredder returns to the Technodrome where his computers analyze the Mouser prototype and then begins replication. As Shredder begins to revel in delight, he is summoned by Krang, who once again demands to know when Shredder will provide him with a body. Shredder suggests that Splinter and the Turtles represent a more urgent problem but Krang does not accept it. He insists that there would be no problem if he had the body that Shredder has promised him. Shredder turns on his heals and leaves, as Krang fumes -- hoping that Shredder fails again and again until he has no choice but to give Krang his body. Back in his lab, Shredder is too impatient to wait until his machines had replicated the "first batch." He programs the first twelve Mousers to "seek out and destroy" Splinter. Back at the Turtles lair, Splinter has recovered enough from his encounter with Shredder so that April decides to return to her own life and see if she still has a job. Splinter agrees and, while he is meditating, is visited upon by Shredder's Mousers. Using his martial arts skills, Splinter is able to dispatch them one by one, but he is still outnumbered. When it looks as though they are about to overpower him, the Turtles return and kick "shell." After every last Mouser lies in metal fragments on the sewer floor, the Turtles question their source and discover the name "Baxter Stockman, Inventor" engraved on every last one of them. Somehow, they believe that Shredder is behind this and decide the first step is to find the egomaniac who put his name on the "death machines." The Turtles suggest that Splinter travel with them so that they might protect him better. He agrees and suggests that they enlist April's help once again. While Shredder fumes at the report that all twelve of his Mousers are out of commission, April is less than excited to see the Turtles again so soon. While she checks her computer files on Baxter Stockman, the Turtles wreak havoc in her apartment. She is able to provide them with a photograph and an address on Baxter Stockman and sends them on their way before they can do any more damage. Back at the deserted mansion, Stockman has completed the Master Control Device and refuses to stay to see the "fruits of his labor." Fearing he knows too much, Shredder orders his Foot Soldiers to follow him in the Turtle- Seeking Cycle. A few minutes later, he unleashes 1200 Mousers to seek out and destory Splinter, the Turtles and April O'Neil. Baxter arrives at his home/workshop, but before he can turn the key in the lock, he is accosted by Shredder's Foot Soldiers. But, before they can do him any harm, they are dispatched by the Turtles, who want some answers -- pronto. After tying Stockman to a nearby lamp post, they convince him to tell them about the Mousers and Shredder's involvement. Realizing that the "deserted mansion" is all the way on the other side of town, and with no time to lose, they "borrow" Stockman's van. Enroute to Shredder's secret location, they realize that the original 12 Mousers had no problem finding Splinter - now there are 1200! They turn around and head back to April's apartment. No sooner has April cleaned up the mess left by the Turtles, then Shredder's Mousers begin chewing through the walls. Splinter and April are able to hold them off long enough for the Turtles to arrive but it is not enough. The building collapses (from the constantly chomping Mousers) just moments after the Turtles, Splinter and April escape. They arrive at the deserted mansion and while Donatello, using the equipment in Stockman's van, devises a way to control the Mousers. Michaelangelo is "elected" to sneek inside the mansion in an effort to put the Master Control Device out of commission. But Shredder captures Michaelangelo and recalls all his Mousers to attack the other Turtles, along with Splinter and April, as they wait outside. When it looks like the end is near, Krang rescues Michaelangelo and tells him where he can find the Master Control Device. Michaelangelo is reluctant but takes Krang's advice when he is informed that his friends are in danger. Michaelangelo encounters Shredder and insults him enough to make him careless. Careless enough to fire his laser rifle at Michaelangelo who jumps out of the way, allowing the laser blast to destroy the Master Control Device. This enables Donatello to reprogram the Mousers (with Stockman's original hand control device) to attack the deserted mansion. As the building falls apart around him, Shredder escapes to the Technodrome (which is "parked" underground) and beats a hastry retreat. The Turtles, once again, are dejected at the loss of Shredder, but decide to keep Baxter Stockman's van (and all the equipment inside) in an effort to help them track Shredder. As they drive away, Michaelangelo tells his disbelieving friends about a "talking brain."
"Hot Rodding Teenagers from Dimension X"
The Turtles and April return to Baxter Stockman's workshop to convert his van (using his equipment now that he is a "guest of the state") into a mobile tracking station designed to locate the Technodrome. Meanwhile, below the city streets, below the subway systems, moves the Technodrome. Inside, Krang rants and raves to Shredder about his failure to eliminate the Turtles and once again, demands the body that was promised to him. Krang continues by reminding Shredder that his soldiers await him in Dimension X, but he can not lead them without a body. The mere mention of Dimension X gives Shredder an idea -- an idea as to where he will find a new weapon to rid himself of the Turtles and Splinter. Krang warns Shredder not to open the recently completed "Transdimensional Portal" to Dimension X for fear of what might come through, but Shredder does not listen. The Turtles have completed the conversion of Dr. Stockman's van - the end result: The Turtle van. It is complete with every type of surveilllance gadgetry and weaponry that Donatello was able to create using Stockman's left-over scientific equipment. Now nothing can stop them from tracking Shredder and the Technodrome. Back in the Technodrome, Shredder opens the Transdimensional Portal, only to have two teenage- driving Nutrinos, flying futuristic versions of '57 Chevy Bel Airs, followed by a flying "jeep" occupied by Stone Warriors. Rocksteady and Bebop fire upon them. The Nutrinos escape, but the Warriors crash and are confronted by Shredder who asks if they serve Krang. They answer in the affirmative. Shredder invites them to see something, but they flee in pursuit of the Nutrinos. While driving through the city, the Turtles have tracked the Technodrome. It is under the Twin Global Towers. April guns the motor and races to the location, but when they arrive, they are "buzzed" by the Nutrinos in their "rocket- powered low riders." The Turtles and April, thinking that they must somehow be connected to Shredder, decide to pursue them. Meanwhile, the two Stone Warriors continue their pursuit of the Nutrinos within the Technodrome and stumble upon Krang. They bow to him and admit their surprise to see Krang without his body. Krang is embarrased and admits that he lost it when he was banished to this "mudball." When he learns that his Stone Warriors are pursing the Nutrinos, he becomes enraged at Shredder for the danger he has caused. Shredder wants to know what danger. Krang explains that the Nutrinos are juvenile delinquents from Dimension X - they hate war, they refuse to join any army, and they encourage people to have fun. The Turtles continue their pursuit of the alien "JD's" while Shredder equips the Stone Warriors with a Techno-Rover to aid them in their capture of the Nutrinos. After much "daring-do," the Turtles "capture" the Nutrinos, only to learn that they are not in cahoots with Shredder after all. Realizing that they're all on the same team, the Turtles treat the Nutrinos to pizza and video games, where they learn more about the grim life in Dimension X. April suggests that maybe they should be concerned with what was chasing them at the time of their "transdimensional teleportation" when the CLOWN TIME FOOD AND GAMES EMPORIUM is leveled by a missle attack from the Stone Warriors. The Turtles defend the Nutrinos by jumping into the Turtle Van and engaging the enemy. After a great deal of laser fire between the Turtles and the Stone Warriors, the Techno-Rover is incapacitated, allowing the Turtles, April and the Nutrinos to escape before the police arrive. The Stone Warriors retreat back to the Technodrome, but not before they release a "weather satellite" that will, in two hours time, create a hellacious storm - one that will level the city. Back in the Turtles' lair, the Nutrinos tell Splinter about the Stone Warriors and their evil Overlord, Krang. When asked about Krang, the Nutrinos tell them that he was banished from Dimension X, lost his body and is now just a brain. Splinter and the Turtles conclude that this is the same brain that Michaelangelo encountered w hen they defeated the Mousers. Splinter also now realizes where Shredder has been getting his advanced technology and fears that Krang will bring his Stone Warrior into this dimension. The Nutrinos and the Turtles agree to "team-up" in an effort to send Krang and his Stone Warriors back to Dimension X. Up on the streets it is snowing! In June! The Nutrinos suspect that it is the result of one of Krang's "weather makers," and they, along with the Turtles and April, race back to the Technodrome. Once there, they have no problem finding the room that houses the Transdimensional Portal. Donatello and Leonardo are left behind as Michaelangelo, Raphael and the Nutrinos go searching for Krang. But before Donatello and Leonardo can figure out how to operate it, Rocksteady, Bebop and some Foot Soldiers engage them in a little "hand-to- hand." Meanwhile, Michaelangelo, Raphael, and the Nutrinos are engaged in laser fire with Shredder, Krang, and the Stone Warriors. After dispatching the Foot Soldiers and sending the Stone warriors and the Nutrinos back to Dimension X, the Turtles face off with Shredder only to be distracted by the effects of the "weather maker" outside, when they return their attention back to Shredder -- he is gone. They elect to go back up to the surface and save the city, while saving their revenge on Shredder for another time. Up on the streets, it is "Hell on Earth." Using one of the Nutrinos vehicles, the Turtles fly into the storm, created by the "weather maker" where Leonardo deactivates it, by slicing it in two like a melon, with his sword. Meanwhile, at the Technodrome, Shredder agrees to give Krang his body if he promises to destroy the Turtles. Krang agrees. Back at the Turtles' Lair, April reads from a book as Donatello, Michaelangelo, and Raphael snuggle under their covers. It is the story of the Tortoise and the Hare. As they drift asleep, Leonardo enters the room cleaning his sword and suggest that the "boys" need their rest, vowing to find Shredder on the morrow.
"Shredder & Splintered"
The news is out... people all over the City have reported sightings of the Turtles, and April is not happy about it. Why? Because it's not her story! The Turtles reassure her that she will get the story and suggest to Splinter that they can wait no longer: they must put Shredder away. The mutant Sensei agrees! While April returns to Channel Six News (with the Turtle Van and a Turtle Communicator) to gather her film crew, Splinter and the Turtles are contacted by Shredder, via their television set. Shredder displays what appears to a ray gun and explains that it is a Retro-Mutagen Ray Generator -- a device that undoes mutations. He suggest that it is the only thing that will transform Splinter back into Hamato Yoshi and invites them to "come and get it". The Turtles are more than anxious to accept Shredder's offer, however, Splinter suggests that he alone must go after Shredder for fear that he might use the Retro-Mutagen Ray Generator on the Turtles -- thus transforming them back into "ordinary" Turtles. Enroute to the Technodrome, via the Nutrino Speeder that was left behind in the previous episode, the Turtles and Splinter experience car problems. Because they need the weaponry aboard the Nutrino Speeder and they would rather not abandon it, Donatello thinks that he can "rig something up" and heads back to Baxter Stockman's workshop, agreeing to meet the Turtles and Splinter at the Technodrome. No sooner has he gone, then the remaining Turtles and Splinter are attacked by Rocksteady and Bebop, who are sent out to destroy them shortly after Shredder issued his "invitation". Once again, the Turtles easily defeat these mutated dimwits. Back at the Technodrome, Shredder delivers on his promise to Krang: a new body. Krang is delighted and tells Shredder to install a "Molecular Amplification Unit" microchip. Shredder is reluctant at first, but Krang convinces him that his subordinates have failed once again and that there is no time to waste - the Turtles are on their way. Shredder submits. He loads the microchip, places Krang within the body and, like a scene out of FRANKENSTEIN, throws the switch that will bring new "life" to Krang. Meanwhile, Krang is right. Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Raphael and Splinter are just outside the Technodrome. Back inside, the Turtle Alert Alarm has sounded. But Shredder is not ready - Krang's new body has not had time enough to "come to it's senses". He summons his Foot Soldiers to attack the intruders. Outside, at the base of the Technodrome, the Turtles and Splinter, under heavy attack, decide to "split-up" -- while the Turtles fight off the Foot Soldiers, Splinter sneaks inside to find the Retro Mutagen Ray Generator. The Turtles easily defeat the Foot Soldiers by hacking open a few raw sewage lines that "sweep" them away. Meanwhile, at the Channel Six News Building, April is about to get fired by Vern, her boss, for being in cahoots with the Turtles, when she convinces him that the Turtle Communicator is a "Hyper-Turtle Death Ray" and for him to sign a voucher authorizing her a film crew. He readily agrees and signs. Inside the Technodrome, while Shredder is elsewhere, Krang awakens and is delighted with his new body and heads for the Transdimensional Portal room, where he is monitored, via remote control camera, by the Turtles from another room. The Turtles suspect that he is about to bring reinforcements from Dimension X and go after him. Meanwhile, elsewhere within the Technodrome, Splinter has discovered the Retro Mutagen Ray Generator, only to discover that it is a hologram. Once again he has been duped by Shredder. And once again, Shredder engages him in marital arts combat. Back inside the Transdimensional Portal room, Krang summons GENERAL TRAGG, one of his Stone Warriors, in Dimension X. General Tragg announces that 12 brigades of troops are ready and waiting. But before Krang can open the portal to lead his men into this wo rld and conquer it, he is attacked by Leonardo, Michaelangelo and Raphael. But Krang activates his recently installed Molecular Amplification Device, allowing him to grow/expand 20 times his (and the Turtles' natural height) and chases them out of the Technodrome, where he smashes a hole through the street surface and climbs up and out. The Turtles pursue him only to witness the destructive powers of the enlarged Krang. Just as they are about to be crushed by Krang's boot heel, they are saved by Donatello aboard his new creation: The Turtle Blimp (that was created from the Nutrino Speeder and Baxter Stockman's spare parts). In an attempt to stop Krang from expanding even more, Donatello separates the balloon from the glider and soars down close to Krang's head, where he and Michaelangelo dive onto Krang's shoulder and climb inside his enormous body. April, Burke and their film crew arrive in time to videotape Leonardo and Raphael, as they circle Krang, in the glider, like a buzzing bee, while inside Krang's body, Donatello and Michaelangelo attempt to find the source of energy that allows Krang to expand and destroy it. It doesn't take them long. Once they destroy the energy source, they must quickly scramble out of Krang's now shrinking hulk. Back to his normal size, Krang feels ill-prepared to handle the "boys in green". He summons Shredder, who is still engaged in combat with Splinter. But not for long. With the flip of a switch, Shredder imprisons Splinter in an electric cage and disappears to save Krang. Fearing that Shredder will use the Retro Mutagen Ray Generator on the Turtles, in his effort to save Krang, Splinter uses one of his long fingernails to remove a metal screw in the floor, heaves it through the electrical cage and destroys its generator. With that done, he chases after Shredder hoping to stop him before he can do harm to the Turtles. Up on the streets, as the Turtles are about to be reverted to their natural state, Splinter arrives in time to hurl his stave at Shredder, knocking out the Retro Mutagen Ray Generator out of his hands, destroying it. While the Turtles thank Splinter and acknowledge that the RMRG was his only chance to be human again, Shredder and Krang escape back to the Technodrome. Back inside the Transdimensional Portal room, as Krang's Stone Warriors are entering Earth's dimension, Donatello is able to reverse the flow of the portal, causing it to pull itself into Dimension X. The Technodrome and everyone inside (Shredder, Krang, Rocksteady, Bebop and the Foot Soldiers) are gone. While Shredder is less than happy to discover that he is in Dimension X, where Krang reminds him that he is the "boss", April reports her story on the Turtles, who are busy congratulating themselves on a job well done. But Splinter warns them that he fears that they have not seen the last of Shredder or of Krang.
