I first became a fan of this series completely by mistake. While taping Batman and Superman off of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, they changed their lineup. In the place of my beloved superheroes was this wierd anime about a guy with dog ears and, of course, a Japanese schoolgirl. Honestly I don't know why I didn't just change my vcr programing. The first episode I saw was "The New Moon and the Mystery of the Dark Haired InuYasha". The first scene, in fact, was where InuYasha was resting his head on Kagome's lap and said that she smelled "nice". It just caught my attention for some reason (okay... I'm a sap for love stories, are you happy now? ;P), and so I started taping the eps all the time. A few weeks later I found out that one of my aunts was also a big fan. She lent me her dvds so I could see in order what was actually going on in the series. (She was also the one to get me interested in mangas like Hana-Kimi, Love Hina, and Hot Gimmick.)
This was the series that took me the longest to get into the fan fiction. At first it was difficult to find the pairing that I wanted (Kagome & InuYasha), but then again, I was also looking on a very slow computer (to quote South Park... "f*cking Windows 98"). But finally I've found some wonderful stories to which I will link shortly. Also up and coming are a few pictures.
