NEW As I posted the other day, I had heard that DAYS won the TV Guide award for fave soap, it's official. They did! Although no one from DAYS was there to accept the award, they showed a really cool clip of Sami being executed.
NEW DAYS is in the UK! Sunset Beach has just now finished it's run in the UK, so they'll now be getting DAYS in SUN's place on channel 5. It will begin airing March 20 and they will start with January 2000 episodes.
NEW Is someone returning to Salem? Rumor is that May sweeps will bring back a Salemite of the past.
Jesse Metcalf (Miguel, PSNS) & Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS) will be at the NBC Experience in New York on Saturday March 4 at 12-2 pm ET to meet fans and sign autographs. 30 Rockfeller Plaza.
Tracy Lindsey Melchior (ex-Tess, SUN) will guest star on the March 28 and 29 episodes of PASSIONS playing a character by the name of Renee.
Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie #1, DAYS) stars in the movie Another Woman's Husband on Lifetime March 6.
Although not confirmed, the word is that DAYS has won the TV Guide Award for Favorite Soap Opera for the second year in a row! The soap catagory will not be broadcast on TV, but the shows know in advance who won and it seems that DAYS has. If it IS true, DAYS recieved over one million votes from fans out of one million and six hundered!! The TV Guide awards are the biggest fan polls in TV history.
Randy Spelling (ex-Sean, SUN) returns to 90210 March 8 as Steve's brother Ryan.
The DAYS and PSNS Charity Softball Game will be held on April 1 at Valley Field in Burbank, CA.
Josh Taylor (Roman, DAYS) continues his role as Jack McCay on 90210, March 1 & 8. Valerie Wildman (Faye, DAYS) also continues as Jack's girlfriend. Can you imagine if Roman and Faye hooked up on DAYS? That would make some great Brady kids VS the Walker kids scenes.
If you SUNSET BEACH fans watched The Beach Boys movie just to get a look at Nick Stabile, you probably got an upexpected surprise to see Vanessa Dorman (Caitlin #1) in the first half of the miniseries.
Lauren Koslow (Kate, DAYS) will be on Donny & Maire, March 8. They're having a special about the Soap Awards so if I hear of any other DAYS or PSNS stars being on, I'll post it here.
Mimi's here to stay. Farah Fath has just signed a 3 year deal with DAYS.
It looks like PSNS will move to the NBC Burbank Studios when their contract with their current studio is up in June. It will move to stage 11. PSNS already uses it for a few scenes including the recent skating pond scenes. Some people call it the "stage of death". The last three soaps taped there didn't last. Santa Barbara, Generations & Sunset Beach. Let's hope PSNS is lucky.
Oh, and several people have mentioned some of the PSNS' sets looking a lot like some of SUN's old sets. It's because they have the same set disigner, George Beckett.
Shawn Batten (ex-Sara, SUN) has been cast in the role of Natalia on the new MTV soap Spyder Web.
There's a rumor that Galen Gering (Luis, PSNS) might be leaving the show, but it's just that. A rumor! So don't worry about it just yet.
Another rumor is that someone will die in the plane crash on DAYS. If it's true, my guess is Lily Faversham.
The Beach Boys: An American Family airs next Sunday, Feb. 27 on ABC. The miniseries stars Nick Stabile (ex-Mark, SUN).
Fans will NOT be allowed to attend the Soap Opera Digest Awards. But you can watch them live March 10 on NBC.

Ken Corday has stated in an on-line letter that it's not true and it's up to them if they want to leave or not. And as far as I know, Peter and Deidre both love working at DAYS.

Matthew Mahney (Kurt, DAYS) wont be leaving anytime soon. A lot of people thought he'd be out now since Gina's dead, but he's not going anywhere for now. The producers have asked him if he knows martial arts and boxing. What could that lead to? Hmm.
Is Passions having Sunset Beach's old sets delivered to their studios? Steve sent me an e-mail saying that the store that Whitney and Theresa are taking over is the same store set that was used for Sara and Meg's "Sunset Sisters" store.
Anyone who lives in the L.A. area and would like to get their hands on some of the clothes worn by the actors of SUNSET BEACH, go down to IT'S A WRAP in Burbank. I went to the website today and saw SUNSET BEACH listed in their new features, but I couldn't find it so I e-mailed them and they said that they have TONS of SUNSET BEACH clothes and they're going so fast that they don't have time to put them on their site! If you have easy access, get there before it's too late. The directions are on their site.

During February sweeps, DAYS' Kristian Alfsonso (Hope) and Kevin Spirtas (Craig) will guest star on FRIENDS. It wont be the first DAYS connection with FRIENDS. Roark Critchlow (ex-Mike) and James Riley (Days ex-headwriter, now PSNS headwriter) have both appeared and Jennifer Aniston's father is John Aniston (Victor). Plus the several times that the FREINDS gang has watched DAYS on the show.

According to TV Guide, NBC is making plans to release "Breathe" (the theme song to Passions) by Jane French as a single.

If you're looking through magazines for DAYS info, you soon won't be able to find any in Soap Opera Weekly for a while anyway. The producers are fueding with the magazine and won't allow anything that has to do with their show printed in it. That includes spoilers, actor interviews and photos. Don't ask me why they're fighting. It's a long story and I don't even understand it all myself.

Now that SUNSET BEACH is no longer at the NBC Studios in Burbank, sources are saying that PASSIONS might move in when their contract expires in June for the CBS Radford Studios. They'll be across the lot from DAYS.
Since Ken Corday has made it clear that neither Melissa Reeves (ex-Jennifer) & Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie) are returning, there are now rumors that Matthew Ashford (ex-Jack) and Stephanie Cameron (ex-Jennifer #2) might be coming back to DAYS.
Rumor is that NBC is developing a new gothic soap called "The Luna Affairs".
DAYS' Austin Peck (Austin) will be co-starring with Gary Busey in the movie "The Last Gunfighter".
Here's a little info about Susan Ward's (Meg, SUN) new movie. From DarkHorizons, The In Crowd: The teen genre is trying it's darn hardest to make a comeback, and jumping along for the ride is this thriller starring Susan Ward (TV's "Sunset Beach"), Matthew Settle ("I Still Know..."), Kim Murphy ("City Of Angels") and Ethan Erickson ("Jawbreaker"). Set for release in April, the story is set around a luxorious country club and the homicidal attempts of one of the new members to fit in. A teaser trailer is expected to be out soon.

From siblings to lovers. Former SUNSET BEACH sister and brother Kam Heskin (Caitlin) & Randy Spelling (Sean) are in a new movie together called "Held For Randsom". Kam plays Jesse, a young girl who's kidnapped. Randy plays Dexter, her love interest. I'm not sure if this is going to be for theater release or made for TV. I'll keep you posted. The movie also stars Dennis Hopper, Joan Van Ark, Zachery Ty Bryan, Debi Mazar and Morgan Fairchild.
SUN's Sydney Penny (ex-Meg #2) can soon be seen on "Beverly Hills, 90210" and the new international TV show "Largo Winch".
Eddie Cibrian's (Cole, SUN/ Jimmy, 3rd Watch) group 3DEEP will finally hit the US when their single "Into You" is released on Feb 14, 2000. Their full C.D. "Yes, Yes, Yes...No, No, No" will be released in April or May. The group is already very popular in Canada.
DAYS' Nadia Bjornlin (Chloe) can currently be seen dancing in Ricky Martin's "Shake Your Bon Bon" video.
