Lonely Hearts
A demon is preying on the lonely of L.A. who frequent a nightclub called "D'Oblique". Doyle experiences a vision of the club only, no face or name, so he, Angel and Cordy patrol it to find the one/s in need. The demon passes from body to body by bursting (Alien-like...good one Joss) from one host and burrowing into the next, resulting in the death of the original host. Kate, a police officer, whom Angel meets at the club, is investigating the spate of evisceration homicides and ends up helping Angel and the gang catch the 'killer'. More Batman references in this ep which make it most amusing. We also discover that Doyle thinks Cordy is a 'hottie' (no surprise there), only to be told by her that she's known many demons who "slime aside" don't particularly do much for her.
If I had one criticism of the series so far, it would be that there's too much sunlight going on with Angel unaffected by it...
