Blurb reviews for "The Sex Show"

From Mike Duffy, Detroit Free Press
"Once and Again"(10 p.m., WXYZ-TV, Channel 7, ABC). Let's talk about sex. Awkward encounters, tangled emotions and the challenges of sexual intimacy affect the relationships of semi-newlyweds Rick and Lily (Billy Campbell, Sela Ward) and other family members and friends. It's another hour of superbly written, emotionally perceptive storytelling on television's best family drama.

From TV-Now.com:
"Once and Again" ("The Sex Show") on ABC, 10:00pm - 11:00pm ET. When sex becomes awkward for the first time in their relationship, Lily (Sela Ward ) and Rick (Billy Campbell) realize how much work it takes to keep a marriage exciting. Of course, if both would bathe in vinegar like Kramer did in "Seinfeld", they wouldn't have to worry about the "S" word.

From Cheryl Everette, Gist.com:
Let's talk about sex. That seems to be the issue concerning Lily, Judy, Karen and even young Jessie (Sela Ward, Marin Hinkle, Susanna Thompson and Evan Rachel Wood). Above all, newlyweds Lily and Rick (Billy Campbell) discover that now that they're married, the thrill is gone. How do they bring back the excitement in the bedroom?

From Charlie McCollum, San Jose Mercury-News:
It's time again to make one of my pitches for ''Once and Again'' (10 tonight, Ch. 7). Even though it's having a fine year, this gem of a family drama is dying on the Nielsen vine in its new time slot. With its chief competitor, ''Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,'' doing a repeat tonight, it's a good time to check out the series if you haven't tried it. Maybe I can entice you by noting tonight's fine episode is about sex and sexual fantasies.

From David Bianculli, Ft. Worth Star-Telegram:
There's not much on tap tonight, but the highlights include a fresh Once and Again, a showing of Frosty the Snowman and, for those who like living hills, a prime-time telecast of The Sound of Music.

[snip to O&A mention]
Can a lack of sexual excitement, after the initial romance wears off, threaten a long-term relationship? Tonight's episode tackles that question, for those not already possessed of an answer.

From John Maynard, Washington Post:
Faced with their first sexual crisis, Lily and Rick try to keep the magic in their marriage.
