Blurb reviews for Falling In Place

From Marc Berman, Mediaweek.com:
Even with a lackluster Family Law, the strength of CBS's Monday comedies should be enough for them to take the night. Now, if there is any justice viewers will find ABC's Once and Again, which has wisely swayed away from the mundane doings of Lily (Sela Ward) and Rick (Billy Campbell) and focused more on the riveting Susanna Thompson as Rick's ex-wife Karen. But based on the past track record of quality dramas like A Year in the Life, Skag, Harris and Company, Get Real and Legacy getting ditched prematurely, there is -- sadly -- little hope of Once and Again finding a mass audience. Thankfully, we have been already treated to three seasons of Once and Again.

From Charlie McCollum, San Jose Mercury News:
After six weeks off the air, "Once and Again'' returns to the ABC schedule tonight (10 p.m., Ch. 7) in what is certainly its last gasp at life on the network. The episode is a good one, focusing on the aftermath of Karen's accident and its effect on her children. Susanna Thompson is terrific as Karen, as she has been throughout the series. "Once and Again'' probably will do better in its new time slot than it did on Fridays, but that may not be enough to save what is one of TV's best dramas.

From TV-now:
Monday's top pick: Bill Campbell and Susanna Thompson both shine in this episode. Over a month ago, Karen (Thompson) was critically injured when struck by a car. Tonight, Rick (Campbell) struggles with his own emotions as he tries to help. Making matters worse is the eratic behavior of Jessie (Evan Rachel Wood) and Eli (Shane West), still in denial over his mother's condition. Lily (Sela Ward) must find a way to help all of them cope.

From Aaron Barnhart, Kansas City Star:
Once again, "Once and Again" is back on the ABC lineup after taking six weeks off. No one knows how long it'll stay on the air, so tune in at 9 tonight (Channel 9) and see if Rick's ex has gotten over her injuries. She should -- after all, it's been six weeks.

From the Buffalo News:
This imperiled series, now in its third season, gets yet another spot on the schedule. A favorite of critics, the show has struggled to find an audience. Sela Ward and Billy Campbell star as the parents of a blended family.

From TVguidelive.com (Canada's TV Guide):
The critically acclaimed series returns from a seven-week hiatus with another new time-slot and, hopefully, an opportunity to build its audience and spare itself from cancellation. Tonight's episode centres on Karen (Susanna Thompson), and the aftermath of her near-fatal accident.

From Rick Porter at Zap2it.com:
Monday Best Bets (March 04, 2002)
Devoted fans of the oft-moved drama are mounting a campaign to keep the show on the air, but ABC's decision will likely hinge on its ratings in the next several weeks, as the show gets a friendlier Monday timeslot. Tonight's episode focuses on the aftermath of Karen's (Susanna Thompson) car accident. While she struggles through physical therapy, the kids retreat into their own shells, and Rick (Billy Campbell) is overwhelmed by the responsibility of handling Karen's health-care costs.

From Cheryl Everette at Gist.com:
This family drama returns to the air for the first time since early January. So where do things stand? The depressed Karen (Susanna Thompson) had gotten hit by a car, and now she faces a very tough and prolonged rehabilitation. Jessie (Evan Rachel Wood) reacts by becoming emotional, while Eli (Shane West) goes into deep denial. Meanwhile, Rick (Billy Campbell) is an emotional wreck.
