'Friends' Gives Unto Them a Sign Deaf see T-shirt Extra

Many new episodes of TV series were shown in the last month, which means there have been a lot of places to fish for Extras — my term for those in-jokes hidden in shows.

All the way from Boston, Lynda Schulman noticed an Extra in the other night's "Once and Again" on ABC. It involved Marin Hinkle as Judy and Steven Weber as Samuel, her significant other.

"Sam comes to Judy's door," Lynda writes, "and when she asks who it is, he replies, 'I am Sam.' "It is funny because [Hinkle] is in the movie 'I Am Sam.'"
