In one of the strangest happenings on TV this year, The Nanny's CC Babcock began to grow bigger and bigger on screen without any explanation. In real life, however, the reason was simple - actress Lauren Lane was pregnant.
Producers soon had naturally slim Lauren ditching her fitted jackets on set, to be replaced by huge, ankle-length duffle coats, while Mr. Sheffield and Miss Fine were seemingly oblivious to their co-worker's rapidly expanding girth. Although CC may be unlucky in love in the hit sitcom, Lauren is happily married and enjoying her new role as mother to baby Katie, right.
