The grand triple date planned for Saturday night may become a reality - could be fun!
Has University already lost that novelty of being back? It's hard to say but I do find myself looking at my watch all the time and hoping that time will hurry up until the end of my lecture so that I can go sit in the lounges above the cafe and do nothing with Teeba and Peter and whoever else happens to be there.
Thumbs up to Paradise.net for sending me their form within a couple of days - Thumbs down to Splurge because they suck and don't recognise my password even though I signed up with it.
Sociology was quite interesting today - we learned about how we manufacture an image of oursleves and the reasons behind it. Basically we see ourselves because of the way others view us - if others view me as a complete utter loser (hopefully not!) then eventually I will have the same opinion of myself. That leads into the creation of particular roles in society which we are meant to play - hopefully there will be some reading on it soon so that I will be able to fill in the gaps on my rather simplistic knowledge of what is a complex and potentially interesting topic. (I couldn't take great notes because I had run out of refill - so I was scribbling crap everywhere).
Send feed-back to me please!!!!! Because I really don't know what you would like me to have more of in this news page and maybe the stuff that I should leave out - I am trying to create a diary of my year in some ways so that I can have a good look back at 2001 come the end of the year and you can all have a good time laughing at the ups and downs of the life of me. You might even enter the news yourself! (Oh the thrill!!!)

Maybe Auckland University aren't such bastards after all, they did decide to give everyone $18 credit for their internet access which should be enough to last me for a hell of a long time - as long as I can stay out of chat.
Yesterday was a sad day for cricket-lovers around the world - the death of Don Bradman had to be expected sooner or later (he was 92) but it's a shame and the world will be less without him. 'The Don' has stood out from the crowd for over 70 years and he will be sorely missed not only by the cricketing public, but by the whole of society. His legacy will remain forever and he was an inspiration for millions - RIP Sir Donald.
I suppose that I should tell you all about my papers this semester. I am doing 2 geography papers - which I had today one after the other - and they seem alright. The lecturers are typically boring geography lecturers (sad to think that one day I might possibly be in their position) although it seems as though the courses might be quite interesting. Sociology is completely new to me - which will make things interesting although I reckon there will be quite a few similarities to parts of Human Geography which I studied at the beginning of last year. Philosophy.... well this is the real unknown subject for me I guess - I could hardly understand what the lecturer was saying this morning (maybe because I was reading a book) although it has something to do with Plato, I studied Plato (briefly) last year in Political Philosophy so it might be similar to that.
I paid the University $3933 today.... and they didn't even say thanks. Bastards!!!!!
I am poor.... so very poor, like pathetically poor, please help me somebody... pretty please. Where's a nice rich girlfriend who I can bludge off???? Actually I'm not like that (honestly) so don't worry girls I know that you are all mad about me anyway (or was that the dream I had the other night......). Enough said before I either totally ruin any possible future relationship with a female reading this, or divulge the private contents of those wonderful erotic dreams that occur once in a while.... OK that's already too much information - sorry!

OK OK.... I know that it has been ages since I wrote anything, but I have been busy. Yeah whatever you all say, but I have!!!! I have been busy doing nothing!
Actually I have been doing some rather constructive things in the last week since I got back from Australia (it will have been a week tomorrow although it already seems like much longer) - such as meeting Alex which was pretty cool and sorting out fees for Uni which was not so cool (although I managed to get $4500 in my account at some stage!!!... now it's 57 cents.
Today was the first day back at University - which means that it's a year since the twisty thing fell off my watch - funny the things that you remember. It also means that I am no longer a pathetic first-year student... I am a 2nd year!!!! Not that anyone really cared or even noticed. They probably thought I was Stage 1 when I had my first year sociology paper.
Back to everything about University that I like/dislike. Likes include the culture, reading Craccum, lazing about in the lounge above the cafeteria and chatting with friends. Dislikes include not having any friend to chat with (coz you just can't fucking find them), having essays to write, wishing that the time would hurry up so that you can get out of the boring lecture and long longggggggggggg queues for the bus agency.

I must try to get more than 3 hours sleep - last night it was bad to stay out until 4am in the morning because I had work at 8am.... am I dumb or what? (OK..... say what... SAY IT!!!!)
I really should start looking for a girlfriend - just that last time the results were rather disappointing it took all the wind out of my sails - e-mail me if you are interested... LMAO!!! Oh... and it would probably be good if you live in the Auckland area

Yes I know that it has been a while - but such is life and I have been up to a lot. Yesterday sucked - I spent the whole friggin day at the airport or on the plane which was really annoying. The plane was 3 hours late which wasn't too bad I suppose - but one hour of that was spent after I had gone through customs so I had like nothing to do (they had free internet there though which was pretty cool, that killed a bit of the time).
I think that I must be getting sick of aeroplane flights - the novelty has worn off and it's just annoying now that I have to spend three and a half hours in a cramped space watching a re-run of the same film that I saw on the way here.
Very sad to have left Jannatun behind at the airport although I did offer on many occassions that she should come with me to New Zealand - I know that she can't but even the thought of it is pretty cool.
Does Australia seem like a dream? Well kind of - I know last time that I felt as though I had been in a dream for the last ten days - however this time things were a bit longer as I was there for 26 days and therefore got to know Sydney and how it worked and what made it tick etc. (I have their rail-netword forever imprinted in my memory from studying it so often on those millions of boring train journeys). Therefore I don't know how I will feel - it was strange coming back to my house after being away for almost a month - I don't know whether I can identify with the person who I was before I left which makes it seem as though I must have changed. Or maybe I just got out of my habits while I was in Australia and I will get back to them now that I am back in New Zealand. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............

Sorry it's been a while, but you know I am in Sydney which means that there is slightly more going on in my life than usual.
Going to Wonderland tomorrow which should be pretty darn cool.
Sydney at night is more amazing even than during the day - all the lights (especially those of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge) are very spectacular. I must admit that I took about 12 photographs on Friday night when I was in the city. Oops.
New Zealand will welcome me back in just over a week. In a way I will be glad to be home since I do miss the place - although it would be nice to stay here a bit longer. At least I didn't totally short-change myself this time, 26 days is a good length of time to spend here because it means we didn't have to rush anything.

I went to Canberra yesterday, it's a pretty cool place as the whole city was designed from scratch - and is symmetrical and the like.
Even 8 hours in a train yesterday (a novel experience for me) wasn't too bad.
Half way through my trip - which I don't really know is a good thing or a bad thing - probably bad because I can have all the time I want this year back home in New Zealand while my time here is definately limited.
Man I am hungry!!!!!!

The well-known hot weather of Sydney finally hit today - it's after 9pm and I am still sweating like hell(maybe because this crap cybercafe doesn't believe in air-conditioning), today was kinda boring - but next week promises to be the highlight of my trip with Canberra, Wonderland and the Zoo all lined up. I will keep you all informed !
It's strange when I think of going back home, part of me really loves Sydney - and the company here - and really wants to stay, while part of me knowst that I have family back home in NZ and I have to go back. It's kinda difficult.
I got a cool T shirt..... it says "Cartoons aren't meant to have any deep meaning - they're just silly pictures that give you a cheap laugh".

It's been a while, but don't worry I am still alive! I have been to Bondi, the Blue Mountains, Manly, quite a few more movies and Fox Studios.
Sydney is all good.... especially the chicks
Going to Canberra next Tuesday which will be fun, 8 hours on the train though will be interesting but hopefully not too bad.
I am still undecided about whether to go to the Gold Coast, maybe I will and maybe I won't - it would be nice though if Ryan could come.
