What a long, strange trip it’s been...

UB's North Campus, both Jackie and Becky's second home! Life...so far.

Hi. I'm Jackie, owner of the DXA website, celebrating one full year online. Now in its third version, with bright, vibrant colors to contrast the previous look, I think it's coming into its own...and OMG, do I have to talk about myself!? AHHH! Just kidding.

I'm originally from Saratoga, New York. I went to a little ol' school called Schuylerville until tenth grade, when my family and I went truckin' up to Buffalo. After finishing up at Clarence High, I embarked on the college experience at UB, or the University at Buffalo. UB is a really awesome place in a lot of ways. Classes for the most part are fun, but can be very challenging. I'm currently a Communications Major and hope to work for a major magazine. I will be entering my sophmore year in August 2001.

Music is the most important aspect of my life. I have played piano for 12 years and have been an accompanist since I was 12 years old. Aside from piano, I have been in several choirs and dabble in flute and bass guitar. I have done a lot with vocal work, including a broadway touring show when I was thirteen. Most recently, I auditioned and was accepted as a tenor for a concert at Carnegie Hall in NYC in June 2001. Along with 22 other UB students, [and 5 other choruses from around the globe] I sang Beethoven's 9th (Ode to Joy) in the original German, all 78 pages of it.

In spring of 2002, April, I will be singing again in NYC. This time at Queens College and then the following week at Carnegie Hall. It will be good to return to the city, even though it's been changed by the recent events, but April is a long way from now and I hope things are better when I'm down there.

Other than music, I spend my time reading on subjects ranging from Egypt [fun ancient history] to the BTVS and ANGEL series novels. I also love to write short stories and fan fic. I do a lot of [web] design with my other two sites, Drummer Boy and All For You. As for my homelife, I have a sister in graduate school and two very busy parents. And of course, my adorable guinea pig, Marty, named after Michael J. Fox’s character from Back to the Future. So far, life is good.

My TV Shows: ANGEL, BtVS (until the 4th season, grumble) H:TLJ, Charmed, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and SNL.

My Movies: Back to the Future, Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade, Wayne's World, A Hard Day's Night, Star Trek: First Contact, The Wedding Singer, and Return to Me.

In in the Stereo: U2's Achtung Baby, Ella Fitzgerald's Cole Porter Songbook, The Beatles' Abbey Road, and R.E.M.'s Out of Time.

Life in the land of Becky...

I love to draw - creativity is the way to go! A day in the life...

Hey. :) I'm Becky of the DXA website. Jackie is the creative html genius behind it all. I'm the one who sometimes provides the articles, tv guide ads, and pics. Anyway, I have lived in Buffalo all my life, seeing as I was born here. Hehe. :) And if Buffalo sounds extremely and utterly boring, it is. Trust me. There's not much to see here. Unless you count all of the stores in the Galleria Mall. LOL. Like Jackie, I also graduated from Clarence High in June of 2000. That's where we first met, and we've become the best of buds ever since. I started at UB in January of 2001 to major in English. I've wanted to be a novelist since the 6th grade, and it's still my dream today. I just love to write. My favorite combination for novels is a mix of comedy, drama, and romance. And a little horror/suspense doesn't hurt, either. Hehe. What can I say? I'm truly a sap when it comes to mushy gushy romance. LOL.

More of my hobbies include reading, art [I love to doodle every now and then], writing poetry and fics, making music vids on my pc, designing websites, staying fit, and hanging with my buds. I'm also really into travelling as well. I've already been to California, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania [which I someday plan to move to], Delaware, and Toronto, Canada.

Where family is concerned, I have two parents, an annoying sister 2 years younger than me named Kellie, three cats, a dog, some fish, and a bird [parakeet]. My dog is a miniature schnauzer named Gretchen, and my cats are Whiskers, Sneakers, and Kitty [who was a stray that my sister found]. Birdie, as my bird is simply called, absolutely loves to talk. He knows how to do the Ed, Edd, and Eddy themesong. He says 'hello, what are you doing, Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday, Gretchen, and pretty bink' [this comes from one of my nicknames, which is Binky-hehe]. My other sites are All Out Of Love, a Phoebe/Cole 'ship site for the show Charmed, and Just Julian, a Julian McMahon clique.

My TV Shows: Charmed, BTVS, ANGEL, Roswell, Profiler, Friends, Mad TV, and H:TLJ.

My Movies: The Wedding Planner, Never Been Kissed, The Breakfast Club, The Wedding Singer, Beaches, Vertical Limit, Braveheart, The Cutting Edge, Miss Congeniality, She's All That, The Patriot, Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, Ever After, Bird on a Wire, Adventures in Babysitting, Return to Me, and Bring It On.

My Music: Savage Garden, U2, Matchbox 20, The Goo Goo Dolls, Belinda Carlisle, Cher, Madonna, Sarah McLachlan, Barry Manilow, and The Offspring, as well as lots of various 80's stuff.
