7pm. It was a record. She was actually done shooting before midnight. She was so happy that she could finally spend some time with Josh. She had left him the number of her newly purchased cell phone before she left the hotel. She knew that he would be at home by now, probably eating dinner with his family. She couldn't help feeling a little envious and homesick. She wasn't even in another state anymore. She was in a whole other country. Sure, it was only Canada, not so far, but it was still another country. She had called him earlier, but he seems a bit preoccupied so she only told him what time she would get off then hung up.

Sure enough as if just on cue, her hand phone rang. "Hello?" She answered. "One hour then I'll pick you up." A smile crossed her face as soon as she recognized Josh's voice on the other end. "To where?" She asked curiously. "Just dress warmly okay?" He said, refusing to give her any hints. "Okay. One hour? I'll be waiting in the lobby then." She said quickly, glancing at her watch and realizing that she didn't have much time to go back to the hotel, take a shower then get ready. "See ya." He said before hanging up. She quickly ran to her rental car, jumped into the driver seat and peeled out of the lot. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

She tore into her hotel room, stripped her clothes off as fast as she could and jumped into the shower. "45 minutes." She mumbled to herself the time she had left before he would arrive. She wasn't that worried about being late and keeping him waiting, but she was anxious to know what he had in store for her. "Come on." She gestured to the showerhead, begging it to release the hot water faster.

"About time." She scolded it, realizing how ridiculous she sounded talking to a piece of metal. Fifteen minutes, that's how long it took her to shampoo her hair twice, condition it, soap her body then rinse it. Fifteen minutes. That left her with 30 minutes to dry her hair and get dressed. She patted herself dry with the towel, wrapped it around her body and rushed to her closet to pick out her outfit. "Dress warm." She remembered what Josh had told her. That had to mean that they were going to be outdoors.

She rummaged for the gray cashmere sweater she had brought with her and laid it on the bed along with a pair of jeans and a skirt that hit two inches below her knee. She stepped back and placed the skirt below the sweater then replaced it with the jeans. It has hard to decide what to wear, considering she didn't know where they were going to go or what they were going to do. She opted for the skirt. Josh wouldn't suggest mountain climbing in this weather so a skirt would be okay. Now she went on to the delicate matters of lingerie. She knew it was good thinking when she stopped to shop at Victoria's Secret before coming to Vancouver. She picked up the rose sheer mesh bra and panty set and laid it on top of the sweater.

"Twenty minutes." She said to herself. There was still the hair and makeup to do. She pulled the clothes on quickly, not caring if she was creasing them or stretching them. She was running out of time. She stepped into the bathroom once more, plugged in the hairdryer and turned it on. She combed her hair with a round brush as she dried it, occasionally glancing at her watch. Ten minutes passed and she decided that her hair was decently dry and switched the loud hairdryer off. She ran back into the room, stubbing her toe on the doorjamb then limped to the dresser. She didn't have time to be in pain. She plopped onto the chair and stared at herself in the mirror.

She reached for the foundation stick and dabbed on her face at several spots then rubbed it in, letting it blend. Once satisfied she started to work on her eyes. A little eyeliner, a dab of eye shadow, some clear mascara and she was done. The only thing left was the lipstick. She brought the tube of MAC to her lips and applied it then blotted her lips with tissue. Five minutes and she was good to go.

"Shoes!" She cried out. She couldn't go bare foot; but then again she didn't have much choice because she had only brought two or three pairs of heels with her. She placed each pair on her delicate feet and stood in front of the mirror, deciding which to wear. With two minutes to spare, she put the black pair on, grabbed her purse and jacket then ran out of the room. She thanked God for the long pair of legs, which carried her faster as she reached the elevator. One was coming down from the eleventh floor and it soon reached her floor. She got into it quickly, pressing hard several times on the "L" button then the "close" button, causing Jim and Jane, the old couple who were discussing which tourist sites to visit next, to look at her.

Bing! She took a deep breath to calm herself down then stepped out of the elevator with such patience that no one would've thought that moments ago she was running around like the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. "Hey. You're right on time. I thought that I would have to wait for a couple of hours. Isn't that how long women normally take?" He asked jokingly. "Well, I'm not just any woman." She said back. If only he knew how crazy it was an hour ago in her hotel room.

"You're right. You, my lady, look absolutely stunning." He brought her hand to his lips then held her hand, guiding her towards the car parked outside. "Care to share where we're going?" She asked. "Soon." He whispered, opening the passenger door for her. "Soon."

"Nat's Pizzeria." Katie read out loud. "Aren't you hungry?" He pulled the gear of his SUV to "P" then turned around in his seat to face her. "Famished." She replied truthfully. "Let's go in then." He suggested. She took off her seat belt then opened the car door before stepping out. She was confused. He told her to dress warmly and a pizzeria didn't call for her to dress warm. She hooked her arm around his and walked into the restaurant with him. The bell rang, signaling that a new customer had arrived and they walked up to the counter to place their orders. One pizza to go, that's what he ordered and she was stunned. To go? That had to mean that they were going somewhere else next. This night was turning out to be quite a mystery.

"To go, huh?" She finally asked him. She had hoped that he would give her a little hint, but he wasn't being helpful at all. "Oh no, no, no." He shook his head. "You're not getting any information from me." He slipped his arms around her waist from behind. "Just a little." She pouted, leaning back against him. "Nope. My lips are sealed." He said firmly. "Such a shame because those lips could come useful." She tipped her head to kiss him. "Sorry babe. I'm not going to tell you." He pecked her on the lips then led her to a table to sit as they waited. "Please?" She settled onto his lap and laid her head on his chest.

"It's not going to work." He pulled back slightly, chuckling at how adorable she was acting. She sighed at the rumble of his chest when he laughed. Even the thumping of his heart marveled her. "Ummm…" He fidgeted a little uncomfortably. "Oh I'm sorry. I forgot that I have a bony ass." She looked at him sheepishly and started to get up. "No." He stopped her. "You do not have a bony ass." She sat on him once more and smiled a little.

"You have quite a… voluptuous ass." He stuttered. "And maybe that's why you should get up." He continued embarrassingly. "Huh?" She was stumped for a moment then it all came to her. "Oh…" "Yes. Oh…" He waited for her to get up, but she didn't. "I don't want to get up." "There's another chair right there." He gestured in an exasperated voice.

"But I like this one. It's quite hard." She said softly emphasizing the word, hard. "Oh." He grunted. "Cute." He grinned, but he looked like he was trying real hard to concentrate on something else other than the fact that she was still on his lap and dangerously close to his fast growing erection.

"Tell me and I might get up." She wiggled a little. "Katie." He tried to still her by placing his hands on her waist, but that was a big mistake because she was ticklish and she squirmed wildly. "You're not helping yourself here." She patted his head lightly. "I'm not telling you." He stuck his tongue out. "We'll see about that." She traced her finger along his ear lobe then slowly towards his jaw. By now she definitely felt the prominent bulge and founded herself getting quite creamy herself. He was right. Maybe she should get off his lap before she threw him on the table and ravished him.

"Your order is ready." "Coming." Boy, wrong choice of word to use. Josh ushered her to her feet and followed her from behind, making sure that his jacket was covering his arousal. He took the box of pizza and peeked inside a little then closed it angrily.

"What the fuck is this?" He swore furiously. Katie was taken aback. "Josh, what's wrong?" She asked quietly. "What the fuck is this?" He asked louder this time. Peter, by nametag, looked floored and scared. "Is there a problem? We'll fix it right away." "Josh." She hissed at him, pulling him by the sleeve. She looked around and noticed that there were no customers other than them. "Where's the fucking manager? I want to see him now!" Josh demanded.

"Just tell me and I'll-" Peter said nervously. "Shut the fuck up! Don't make me come over this counter!" He cut him off. "Josh!" Katie was appalled at his behavior. She had never seen this side of him and quite frankly she hated it. "What's the problem here?" A large man walked out and she assumed that he was Nat. "Errr…this customer seems to-" Peter tried to explain to his boss, but stopped short when he saw the change in Josh's face. One minute he was shouting and now he was grinning mischievously.

"Asshole." Nat said, walking over to Josh then pulling him into a hug. Katie was just as confused as Peter. "Y'know, I'm going to have to kick your ass some day." Nat chuckled as they pulled away from the embrace. "Come on now. You know you love it." Josh punched him lightly on the arm. They were friends. She finally understood now. This was all just a stupid joke and she wished she was forewarned about this. "So here on a break?" Nat asked him. "Yup."

"Take a seat, we can catch up." "Sorry man. Got to go. I just came by to introduce you to Katie, my girlfriend." Josh gestured to her and she blushed as she noticed how he had called her his girlfriend. "Oh, it's a pleasure to meet you then. I'm Nat Davis." He introduced himself, shaking her hand. "Katie Holmes." She said. "Good luck taming this wild animal." Nat winked. "Grrr…" Josh growled and they all laughed. Well, nearly all of them. Peter's jaw was still on the floor and he looked like he had wet his pants. "Well, we should get going then. We'll stop by before I leave." Josh said, hugging Nat one more time. "It was a nice to meet you." Katie extended her hand for him to shake, but was enveloped into a hug by Nat. "I'll see you next time, sweet heart." He said. Josh held out his hand for her to hold then waved at Nat with his other.

"Don't come back!" Nat called out after them. "Just you though. Katie, you're welcome here anytime." Josh didn't even turn around. He simply extended his middle finger over his shoulder as they walked out.
