"This." She whispered, gently brushing her lips with his. "Wanting to kiss you, wanting to taste you…" She trailed off as her fingers laced with his hair. "Wanting to know the feeling of your skin on my lips…" She brought his hand to her face and kissed his fingertips one by one, her eyes trained on him. "Wanting you." He finished off softly, his lips tracing the side of her face. Her lips trembled as she slowly dropped his hand, too weak to do anything. He wanted her. She closed her eyes reveling at the feeling of his strong hands holding the small of her back, rubbing small circles with his thumb. "This isn't acting. This is real life." His words sounded blurry as her eyes followed his face, buried in the crook of her neck.

"No one's going to call cut." He continued, nipping at the soft skin. He suddenly stopped and looked her in the eye. "There's no turning back." He said, leaning in towards her inch by torturous inch. "No turning back." She repeated slowly, waiting for their lips to meet. "No." He tugged at her bottom lip with his lips and slipped his tongue through her parted lips. She let out a sigh and pulled him closer by draping her arms around his neck. Someone knocked on Josh's trailer door, breaking up the kiss. Josh grunted as he pulled away and she frowned. It was typical that the first time they really kissed, it would be interrupted abruptly. She quickly smoothed her hair back as Josh opened the door.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but is Katie here?" The production assistant asked. She sighed and went to the door. "I'm here." "Your agent called. He wants you to call him ASAP." He rattled off, occasionally looking at the clipboard he was holding. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Katie grunted and turned over to check what time it was. 1:00 a.m. She couldn't sleep. Not after talking to her agent. She tossed and turned for the hundredth time, but finally gave up. She had to tell him soon, tomorrow. She got up and paced around her bedroom. Josh's bedroom was directly underneath hers and she couldn't help, but wonder if he was asleep. The image of him slumbering in a wifebeater and boxer warmed her and she quickly fanned herself. She didn't need to conjure up these images especially if she was trying to sleep. She walked to her bedroom window and opened it wide. She sighed with relief as the cool breeze enveloped her. She rested her elbows on the windowsill and gazed at the beach.

"Hey." A voice called out from below. Katie yelped and jumped away from the window, scared out of her wit. Seconds later, she peeked out and saw a smiling Josh, whose body was practically out of the window. "Careful! You're going to fall out." She called out to him. "One kiss and you're already worrying about me?" He teased.

"I'm just worried about who will feed Shumba when you're gone." She rolled her eyes. "So why are you up? You have an early shooting tomorrow. Shouldn't you be in bed?" "I couldn't sleep." She admitted. "Want to tell me what's bothering you?" She shook her head. "Maybe tomorrow." She didn't want to tell him and ruin the perfect day.

"Okay." He nodded, not wanting to push her. "Well, get to bed alright?" "Now look who's worried." She joked. "I'm not worried. If you don't sleep, you'll be pacing around all night, keeping me up in the process." He said nonchalantly. "Sure." She didn't believe a word he said. "Nite!" He shouted out loud, causing her to giggle. "Shush! You're going to wake everyone up!" She warned. "Do I give a fuck?" He shouted out louder this time, doing it on purpose. "Nite." She chuckled. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Katie knocked on Josh's door nervously. "Morning gorgeous." He greeted. "Gorgeous my ass." She rolled her eyes and entered his trailer. "Mmm mmm. What I wouldn't give to take a bite out of that juicy-" "Shut up." She blushed. She knew he was joking. Her butt was way too bony to be juicy. "We need to talk." She said as she sat on the sofa. "Uh-oh." He said, seating himself down next to her. "No, it's not like that." She quickly tried to explain. She definitely didn't approach this the right way.

"Is this about the kiss? You want to pretend it never happened? Well, that's okay because it didn't really mean anything right? It was just a kiss." He rattled off quickly. "Is that how you really feel?" She asked softly in a hurt voice. His eyes filled up with sorrow as he realized that she wasn't going to say this at all. "I'm sorry." He apologized. "Was it really just a kiss to you?" Now she was beginning to get insecure. She was here to talk about her something else, but it wouldn't matter if it were only just a kiss to him. "No. Not at all." He tried to reassure her. "One kiss is all it takes." He swept his thumb over her lips slowly.

"Let's make that two." She smiled mischievously, leaning in to kiss him. "Wait." He placed both hands on her shoulder to stop her. "Didn't you say we needed to talk?" "Oh yeah, about that." "Oh yeah, about that? I'm sitting here nervous like hell about what you have to say and you forgot?" He asked incredulously. "I'm sorry." "Well, come on then, spill." He encouraged. "Remember the movie I auditioned for?" "Disturbing Behavior right?" He scratched his head in the most adorable way. "Yeah. My agent called and I got the part." She said slowly. "Fuck! That is great news!" He gathered her up in his arms.

He pulled back, taking a look at her face. "Why do you look like your puppy just died?" "Well, we start shooting soon. Real soon." "That's okay. You fucking got the part!" He sounded so happy for her and she wished that she could be half as excited as he was. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "We had so much plans to do over the shooting break. We won't be able to do any of those things. The pilot episode, we were supposed to watch it together." She whined.

"Katie, this is your career." He reminded her. She was getting frustrated. She knew this was her career and it wasn't that she was being ungrateful, but it was how calm he was. "I know, it's just that it seems so unfair that after our first kiss I have to pack up and leave right away." She furrowed her brows. "What is going to happen now? What do we do? Are we a couple?" "Calm down. Breathe." He rubbed her arms up and down. "And you're so calm" She whispered out. "If I told you that I didn't want you to go, would it make things any easier?" He said, trying to talk some sense into her.

"You're right. I'm sorry. I'm just being an idiot." She shook her head, ashamed at her behavior. "You know I'm going to miss you." He put his arm around her shoulder, giving her a quick peck on the forehead. "One kiss and you're already missing me." She beamed, happy to hear him say the words. "One kiss. That's all it takes." He whispered.
