Robin & Patrick #10  May 14 - October 30, 2009 - 8 hour original edit

DVD #10A  As the group session for moms with postpartum depression progressed, Robin talked about her refusal to take antidepressants. Robin admitted that she continued to resent relying on the medication. However, she understood that she had to take the antidepressants in order to manage the disease. Before the meeting ended, Robin confessed that she looked forward to going home to her daughter.

Patrick apologized to Monica for failing to help Michael. Monica told Patrick that she had once been like him. Time and experience made her realize that they couldn't save everyone; they just had to do the best that they could. Patrick went to Michael's room to talk to Carly and Jax. Patrick considered it unethical of him not to be honest with them about Michael's prognosis. Patrick explained that the anesthesia had worn off, so Michael should have woken up. Carly refused to let Patrick finish speaking; she insisted that Michael would wake up. Patrick went home to spend time with Emma. While he held his daughter, Patrick talked about Michael's situation. Patrick missed Robin and her advice. Patrick promised Emma that her mother would return home soon.

Michael was asking questions of Patrick when Sonny and Jason walked in. Patrick interrupted and said that Michael needed some tests. He took Sonny aside and told him it would be better not to tell Michael all the details of what had happened and how long he had been in a coma until the test results were in. Sonny said okay. Patrick was at home on the phone with the hospital making plans for Michael when Holly knocked on his door. She wanted to know if he had a room she could use during her stay in Port Charles.

Patrick welcomed Holly to his home and told her to make herself comfortable. He told her that he and Robin had a little girl, Emma, but that Robin was away on sabbatical. Holly didn't understand that and questioned what it meant. Patrick explained that Robin was suffering from postpartum depression. Soon, Patrick had to get back to the hospital to check on Michael.

At the hospital, Patrick asked Matt for Michael's test results. Matt was upset and said he didn't have Michael's test results, and Matt felt he was always the last one to know anything, including that an attractive woman was staying at their house. Patrick quickly filled his brother in and said Holly was Robin's ex-stepmother. Matt asked if he could make a move on Holly, and Patrick told him that was okay, but he didn't think Matt was Holly's type. Patrick finally found the test results and visited Michael's family in the boy's hospital room to tell them the good news. It appeared the results were good and not temporary.

Patrick arrived home with a bottle of champagne for himself and Holly. Luke and Ethan arrived at Patrick’s together. Holly, having expected them, answered the door. Ethan and Luke both wanted to know the same thing, who were Ethan's parents?

At the Drake residence, Luke and Ethan met with Holly. Patrick played mediator between Luke and Holly. Luke demanded to know whether or not he was Ethan's father. Holly was evasive, which prompted Luke to seek a more private setting for his discussion with Holly. Patrick intervened before Luke could drag Holly out of the house. Patrick asked Ethan how he had met Holly. Ethan told Patrick that he had first encountered Holly when she had won all of Ethan's money during a game of poker. Luke asked if Holly had tried to seduce Ethan. When Ethan replied that she hadn't, Luke was convinced that it meant that Holly was Ethan's mother. Luke asked Holly why she hadn't told him that she was pregnant. Holly asked Luke why he assumed that she had been with child.

Patrick suggested that Luke simply have a DNA test to determine if he was Ethan's father. Luke explained that they had taken a DNA test. The results of the test had been negative, but Ethan and Luke suspected that Tracy had tampered with the test. Patrick proposed that Luke and Ethan take another DNA test. Luke argued that they could save time by hearing the answer directly from Holly. Holly offered to answer Luke's questions in exchange for Tracy's money. Patrick thought that Ethan, Luke, and Holly were crazy; therefore, they had to be family. Patrick decided that he had wasted enough time trying to sort out Holly and Luke's family mess. Patrick went to the nursery to play with Emma and to call Robin.

Luke appreciated Ethan's concern; however, he didn't need it. Luke tried to get Holly to leave with him, but Holly refused to budge. She told Luke, in no uncertain terms, that there wouldn't be any "hanky panky" until she had her money. Holly escorted Luke and Ethan to the porch then closed the front door on them. Luke was impressed with Holly. Luke suggested that Ethan prepare himself for the ride of his life; they were up against a master con artist.

Patrick checked on Michael. Michael resented Carly's interference when Carly asked Patrick for a medical update. Michael's hostility prompted Jax to usher Carly out of the room before she became too upset. After Carly and Jax left the room, Patrick told Michael that Michael's anger was a side effect of his brain injury. Michael was skeptical; he believed that his anger was well justified.

In the hallway, Carly asked Patrick when Michael could be released from the hospital. Carly was eager to take Michael home. Patrick warned Carly that it could be weeks before Michael was ready to leave the hospital. Carly didn't want to hear that; she was certain that her relationship with Michael would improve vastly once they were out of a hospital setting. Patrick suggested that Michael's anger was an indicator that Michael needed time to recover under medical supervision. Jax supported Patrick's decision to keep Michael in the hospital.

Robin called Patrick at the hospital and told him she was being released early from her treatment. Always the overachiever, Robin had completed her therapy but wanted to meet with him first. They decided to meet at their favorite restaurant. Robin said she would not be upset if Patrick wanted to call her doctors to verify her story, but Patrick didn't feel that was necessary. Patrick left the hospital and met Robin at the restaurant where she had stood him up before running away to Rochester. Patrick talked about Emma and how much they had missed Robin. Despite the postpartum depression, Robin was the center of Patrick and Emma's lives.

Therapy had been intense, but Robin had learned a lot. Robin knew she had hurt Patrick and Emma, so she asked Patrick if she had ruined everything. It was up to Patrick if he could forgive her and allow her back into his life. Patrick knew that postpartum depression was a disorder that Robin couldn't control. Robin wanted to make sure they could still be 100% honest with each other, despite the previous few troublesome months. Patrick felt that was something he could still do, so they decided it was time to see Emma.

When they arrived home, Robin complimented Patrick on his housecleaning skills. Patrick didn't take credit, though, and he admitted that he had hired a housekeeper. Both Patrick and Robin said they were nervous about Robin's reunion with Emma, but they didn't delay the inevitable. Patrick watched as Robin walked into Emma's room and greeted their daughter.

At the Drake residence, Robin and Patrick stood in Emma's room. Patrick assured Robin that she could take her time reconnecting with Emma. Robin smiled then picked Emma up. Robin beamed with joy as she held her daughter. Robin told Patrick that she thought he was a wonderful father. Patrick returned the compliment. Robin promised that she would try to be the best mother she could be. She admitted she had felt like a completely different person while she had battled postpartum depression. It had been a surreal experience for Robin. Patrick agreed that, in a way, she had been a different person during her struggle with PPD.

Later, while Robin rocked Emma, Patrick popped his head into Emma's room to let Robin know that dinner was ready. Robin was reluctant to put Emma down for the night. She wanted to spend more time with her daughter. Patrick smiled in understanding as he quietly slipped out of the room.

At the Drake residence, Robin enjoyed bonding with her daughter. While they played on the floor, Robin confessed that she was happy to be home. A knock on the door interrupted Robin and Emma's playtime. Robin was surprised to see Ethan standing on her doorstep. She recognized him as the bartender from the Haunted Star. Robin was taken aback when Ethan revealed that he might be her brother. Robin believed that Ethan was sincere, but she doubted that Robert was Ethan's father. She invited Ethan into her home to hear him out.

Ethan handed a picture to Robin. It was the first time that Robin had seen the photo of Robert and Luke. She chuckled as she noted that her father and his friend looked like trouble. Robin quietly listened while Ethan told his story. Robin was surprised to learn that Holly was in Port Charles and had been a guest in her home for several days while Robin had been away. She asked Ethan if he knew where Holly was staying. Ethan wasn't sure, but he guessed that Holly had checked into a hotel after she left Robin's home.

Robin wondered how Ethan felt about the possibility that Robert was his father. Ethan admitted that he didn't know anything about Robert, so he had no idea how to react to the news. Robin reiterated that she didn't think that Ethan was her brother. However, she offered to answer any questions that Ethan had about Robert.

Ethan asked Robin why she was so certain that Robert wasn't his father. Robin explained that her father had been stricken with cancer the year before. As a result, Robert and Robin had spent quite a bit of time talking. Robin believed that Robert would have mentioned if had a son. Ethan suggested that perhaps Robert hadn't known.

Robin decided to do some fact checking. She asked Ethan for the date of his birth. From that, Robin determined the approximate date of Ethan's conception. Robin realized that Robert had been in Port Charles when Ethan had been conceived. She vividly recalled the time because Robert had been working on a case to expose Port Charles's corrupt police chief, Burt Ramsey. Robin didn't recall Holly being in town during the scandal. Robin promised to verify everything with Robert, but Ethan declined Robin's offer. Holly went to Robin's house. Robin asked Holly why she had lied to Ethan about Robert being his father. Holly apologized; she hadn't meant to hurt Robin.

At the hospital, Carly stopped to talk to Patrick. Patrick updated Carly on Michael's recovery. When Carly turned to go to Michael's room, Patrick stopped her. He advised Carly to give Michael some space. Carly refused to consider it, but Patrick insisted. Patrick explained that Carly could do Michael more harm than good by provoking him during his recovery. Carly was devastated, but she agreed to follow Patrick's advice.

At the hospital, Claudia questioned Patrick about the possibility of Michael remembering things he might have heard during his coma. Patrick told Claudia that there had been a few documented cases. Olivia overheard Claudia and Patrick's conversation. She approached them and asked if Claudia and Patrick were discussing Michael's case.

Holly was also on a mission and arrived at Robin and Patrick's house to seek advice after realizing the situation with Ethan and Luke had not gone as well as she had expected. Holly had hoped she could use Ethan to get Luke back and they could all be one happy family. Robin helped Holly see the flaws in her plan, and Robin asked how Holly even knew Ethan was her son. After Holly gave up an infant son, Robin wodered how Holly could recognize him as an adult. Holly admitted she had done some investigation before finding her son. She was in no shape to care for a child when she had become pregnant, but she had to find out how he was doing when she learned his adoptive parents had died. Holly realized she had to set things straight and admit the truth to both Luke and Ethan.

Meanwhile, Sonny talked to Patrick about Michael's condition. Sonny wanted Patrick's opinion on where Michael should live, but Patrick didn't want to get involved in a custody battle. Sonny explained that he and Carly were getting along, and they wanted Michael to live with Carly, but Michael didn't seem to want his mother. Patrick stressed that Michael needed a calm environment, and Sonny seemed to understand that comment.

Robin arrived at the hospital, with Emma in tow, to consult with Patrick on Michael's case. Patrick was surprised that Robin had brought Emma along. Robin admitted that she couldn't stand to be parted from her daughter. After they placed Emma in the hospital's daycare, Patrick and Robin went to Michael's room. Patrick explained that he had asked Robin to join Michael's medical team.

After Patrick left the room, Robin examined Michael. Robin noticed that Michael had winced a few times while she had moved Michael's leg around. Michael insisted that it had merely been a twinge. Robin decided to prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs and order his physical therapy to be cut back.

Michael's temper flared. He insisted that he needed more physical therapy, not less. The more Robin tried to calm Michael down, the angrier Michael became. Michael yelled and threw things around the room until Jason raced into the room. Jason was forced to physically retrain Michael in order to keep him from hurting Robin.

At the hospital, Michael screamed at Robin while Jason physically restrained him. Michael refused to allow his physical therapy to be cut back. Jason eventually managed to calm Michael down. Robin explained the healing process to Michael. She told Michael that it would take time. She warned that the more Michael tried to rush it, the longer it would take for his body to recover. Michael was frustrated because he had missed an entire year of his life. Michael didn't want to waste another moment in the hospital. Robin advised Michael to talk to Jason, and then left the room.

Jason understood what Michael was going through. Jason told Michael that he had felt the same way when he had been in the similar situation. Jason hadn't listened to the doctors, which had been a mistake. Michael was concerned about Carly and Sonny finding out about his outburst. Michael was certain that they would insist that he remain in the hospital indefinitely. Jason urged Michael to follow Robin's medical advice. Michael admitted that he felt stifled in the hospital. Jason promised to get Michael out as soon as it was safe for Michael to leave.

Robin updated Patrick on Michael's case. Patrick agreed with Robin's assessment that Michael was extremely volatile. Robin's professional opinion was that Michael should see a therapist and be prescribed medication to help reduce the intensity of his outbursts. Robin realized that she sounded hypocritical suggesting that Michael be prescribed medication for emotional problems.

Robin asked Patrick why he had requested her on Michael's case. She wondered if it was an attempt to test her. Patrick admitted that he did want to see if Robin was ready to return to work, but more importantly he asked her to consult because he missed working with her. Robin smiled; she appreciated Patrick's honesty.

Later, Robin returned to the nurse's station after fetching Emma from the daycare center. Patrick was surprised that Robin was ready to go home. He asked Robin if she was considering staying home with Emma full-time. Robin admitted that it had crossed her mind. Patrick was disappointed that she hadn't talked to him about it. He confessed that he missed spending time with her and making love to his wife. He didn't know what Robin wanted any more, because she didn't talk to him about it. Robin tenderly touched Patrick's face as she told him that she wanted to go home with him.

June 9, 2009 Patrick arrived home to see that Robin had cleaned the house and prepared for a romantic evening between the two of them. Before they could get started though, Emma interrupted them. Later, the hospital called and Patrick had to go back to examine Michael, who had shown back up. Finally, though, Patrick and Robin were able to eat dinner and talk. Robin apologized for her behavior when she refused to seek treatment for postpartum depression. Her opinion was that a lesser man would have left her, but Patrick understood that postpartum depression was a disorder that Robin couldn't control. They ended up making love on the living room floor, all past problems forgiven.

Patrick stopped in to check on Michael, and Patrick admitted that it was possible for Michael to remember all of what people had said to him while he was in the coma. There were no other known cases of someone recovering from an injury like Michael's, though, so it was hard to say anything for sure. Jax looked worried about that information, knowing that Michael could resent his stepfather if he remembered that Jax knew who shot him.

Robin and Emma dropped Patrick off at the hospital. Robin intended to take Emma to the park to enjoy the beautiful day. She asked Patrick to join them, but Patrick declined because he had to check on Michael. A call from Olivia changed their plans. Olivia was desperate to see Patrick. A short time later, Robin and Patrick arrived at Metro Court. Olivia begged them for discretion as she led them to one of the hotel's rooms. Mayor Floyd was on the phone when Olivia ushered Robin and Patrick into his room. Mayor Floyd was furious that he had been left waiting. Robin and Patrick rushed over to the bed where a woman was unconscious.

After a flurry of questions, Mayor Floyd revealed that the woman was his mistress, Brianna Hughes. Brianna and Mayor Floyd had been having sex in the shower when Brianna had struck her head against the showerhead. According to the mayor, Brianna had laughed the incident off. After the shower, the mayor and his mistress had enjoyed some wine until Brianna had complained of a headache. Mayor Floyd decided to buy some acetaminophen in the gift shop. When he returned to the room, he found Brianna unconscious. The mayor insisted that Brianna had not taken any drugs.

Olivia hustled the mayor out of the hotel room when the front desk notified them that the ambulance had arrived. While Robin and Patrick waited for the paramedics, they discussed Brianna's injury and symptoms. Both doctors agreed that Mayor Floyd's story did not add up.

At the hospital, Patrick and Robin discussed Brianna Hughes's case. Patrick suspected that there was more to the story than the mayor had let on. Moments later, Alexis approached the doctors. Alexis wanted to question Brianna, but Patrick turned down Alexis' request. However, he did confide to Alexis that Brianna's injuries were not consistent with a minor bump to the head. According to Robin and Patrick, Brianna's head trauma was severe. Alexis revealed that a maid had stepped forward claiming to have heard an altercation, which might have led to the injury. Just then, Alexis spotted Mayor Floyd as he stepped off of the elevator. Alexis informed Mayor Floyd that she would not help him cover up a crime. Alexis warned Garrett that his story did not explain the severity of Brianna's injury. Garrett stuck to his story and threatened to make things difficult for Alexis if she didn't drop the case.

Patrick decided to talk to Garrett after he received updated test results on Brianna's case. Garrett made it clear that he had nothing further to say to Alexis or Patrick, and then walked away. Alexis asked Patrick to keep her apprised of Brianna's condition.

After Alexis left, Matt rushed over to Patrick. Brianna had suffered seizures. A short time later, Patrick determined that Brianna required immediate surgery. Matt volunteered to operate on Brianna. Patrick reluctantly agreed, but offered to scrub in with Matt. Matt was determined to do the surgery without Patrick's assistance. Patrick let the matter drop. While Matt prepared to operate, Patrick made plans to go to the park with Robin.

At the park, Robin realized that Patrick was preoccupied. Robin wondered if Patrick had second thoughts about Matt performing the surgery. Patrick assured Robin that he wouldn't have allowed Matt operate if he had any reservations about Matt's ability.

As Matt operated on his patient, Brianna Hughes, she began to go into cardiac arrest. Despite everyone's best efforts, Brianna died on the operating table. Matt left the operating room and asked Epiphany if anyone from the patient's family had ever shown up, but unfortunately, no one was there to notify of the death. Robin and Patrick overheard Matt as he told Epiphany that his patient had died. Patrick left for the operating room and found Liz cleaning up. She told him she always cleaned up when a patient died during surgery, because she felt it wasn't as heartless as having an orderly do it. Patrick asked what had happened during the surgery, but Liz said that Matt performed the surgery by the book. Patrick felt guilty for being selfish and choosing his family over performing the surgery.

Liz told Patrick that there were two kinds of people --painters and artists. A person could paint a house and be well respected for their work, but that painter would never be confused with Van Gogh. Patrick was an artist in the operating room, and Matt just wasn't brilliant when he had needed to be.

Meanwhile, Robin tried to talk to Matt and help him with some of his paperwork. Matt was in no mood for any help, though. He got mad at Robin and stormed off. Robin tracked Patrick down, and they talked about how they needed to be there for Matt. Unfortunately, Matt overheard their conversation and was not very pleased. Patrick tried to follow his brother, but the conversation turned into a heated argument. Matt felt that some patients died, no matter how well the treatment had gone or who was responsible for that treatment.

Diane approached Matt and Patrick during their argument and effectively stopped the conversation when she said she was representing Brianna Hughes's family. Dr. Hunter was being sued for malpractice and the wrongful death of Ms. Hughes. A simple fall in the shower at the Metro Court should not have caused Brianna to die, and the fact was that Brianna had died while in the care of Dr. Hunter. Robin overheard Diana's comments, and she tried to defend her brother-in-law. Diane asked them if they were all absolutely certain that nothing could have saved Brianna Hughes.

Robin and Patrick interrupted Carly and Michael with good news. Michael's test results had been returned, and he could go home. At the hospital, Patrick and Robin talked about Matt. Patrick blamed himself for letting Matt do the surgery instead of doing it himself. He feared that he only let Matt do the surgery because Matt was his brother and had wanted to prove himself. Patrick feared that he might not have had the same response if Matt had not been his brother. Robin also took a share of the blame, because she wanted to have a family day in the park with Patrick and Emma and had encouraged Patrick to let Matt do the surgery.

Patrick told Robin how much he appreciated her trying to comfort him, but he felt guilt and responsibility for surgery that Matt had done. He was convinced that the surgery would have been successful if he had performed it instead of letting Matt do it. At that moment, Coleman called to tell Patrick that Matt was in trouble at Jake's and was about to become embroiled in a brawl that he started.

At Jake's, Coleman tried to break up the fight between Johnny and Matt. Olivia walked in and distracted Johnny, but Matt asked Coleman why he kept looking towards the door. Coleman revealed that he had called Patrick, and Matt was upset that his older brother was called to rescue him. When Patrick and Robin arrived, Patrick mentioned aloud how the surgery had been his fault for not performing the operation. Despite the fact that Alexis and Diane were having drinks and socializing, Diane viewed the bar fight as an opportunity to gain evidence in her case against Dr. Matt Hunter. She grabbed cocktail napkins and wrote her notes furiously, astonishing even Alexis at her determination. Matt was not oblivious to Diane, though. He told her to take her notes, but the surgery had been done by the book. He insisted that his drinking had nothing to do with the surgery. The only reason why anyone cared was because the woman who had died had been having an affair with the mayor.

When Robin and Patrick finally arrived home, they started to settle in for the evening before a knock at the door interrupted them. Patrick opened the door and found Diane there to formally tell him he was also going to be included in the wrongful death lawsuit of Brianna Hughes. Patrick slammed the door, cuing Emma to start screaming and dissolve the dreams of a peaceful evening.

At the hospital, Epiphany advised Patrick to improve his communication skills with Robin. Patrick looked up to see Robin standing nearby, working. When Patrick approached Robin, she explained that she wanted to help Patrick uncover the truth about Brianna Hughes's death. Patrick appreciated Robin's support.

They decided to go to the hospital's employee showers to put Mayor Floyd's story to the test. Several nurses and Matt witnessed Patrick and Robin's antics. Matt was touched when he realized that Patrick and Robin were trying to help him. However, Matt didn't want them involved; he took full responsibility for Brianna's death.

Patrick revealed that he had been named in the wrongful death lawsuit. Matt was distraught because his brother had been dragged into his mess. Patrick didn't blame Matt for the family's decision to add Patrick to their complaint. Robin and Patrick confided that they suspected that Brianna had died of the initial head injury, not medical malpractice.

At the nurse's station, Epiphany teased Robin about showering with Patrick at work. Mac's arrival cut the joking short. Mac told Robin that Maxie and Spinelli had broken into the mayor's office. Mac was certain that Spinelli had put Maxie up to the stunt. Robin suspected that Maxie might have been at least partly to blame for the break-in. However, Robin agreed to talk to Maxie, so that Mac would calm down. Robin walked into Spinelli’s office, Maxie and Spinelli updated Robin on their investigation. Robin found it interesting that the mayor's wife had known about her husband's affair.

Patrick entered his office to find a woman waiting for him. She urged Patrick to settle the lawsuit with the Hughes family. The woman was upset because she believed that the mayor's mistress intended to cause trouble from the grave. Patrick asked the woman to identify herself. She seemed surprised that Patrick had not recognized her. The woman was Andrea Floyd, the mayor's wife.

In Patrick's office, Andrea Floyd bit back tears as she told Patrick how she had learned of her husband's affair. According to Andrea, she'd been told about the affair at the same time that she'd been informed of Brianna's death. Andrea went on to reveal that afterwards, she had to endure a political fund-raiser for her husband. Andrea admitted that she was concerned about the impact the scandal would have on her life. Andrea begged Patrick to settle the lawsuit and request a gag order, so that the details of Brianna's death did not become fodder for the tabloids.

Patrick doubted that Brianna's family would agree to keep quiet about how Brianna had died. Moments later, Robin popped her head into Patrick's office. Robin was looking for Mr. Snuffles, Emma's stuffed elephant. Patrick introduced Robin to Andrea and told Robin that he didn't have their daughter's toy. Robin apologized for interrupting them, then headed to her locker in the hopes of finding Mr. Snuffles.

Andrea complimented Patrick on his wife. She suggested that for the sake of his family, he settle the case in the most expedient manner possible. Andrea made it clear that she would do anything, including extending political favors, if Patrick helped her keep the scandal out of the public eye.

After Andrea left Patrick's office, she sought out her husband. Andrea warned Garret that his political career was at stake. She suggested that Garret leave it to her to keep the scandal from leaking to the media. Andrea was determined to help Garret despite her disgust over his numerous affairs.

When Robin returned to Patrick's office, he told her about Andrea's request. Robin asked Patrick if Andrea had happened to mention that she had known about her husband's affair before Brianna's demise. Patrick and Robin wondered why Andrea had lied about such an important detail.

Patrick reviewed the medical files for Brianna Hughes, but he had trouble finding any helpful information for the malpractice suit against his brother. Robin told him that he needed to be obsessive and look at the files over and over again-just like she would do. Patrick called Maxie to assist and provide any valuable information Spinelli had from his investigation. Maxie thought it was ironic that a few months earlier, Robin wouldn't have anything to do with her daughter. Once Robin had completed treatment, she was so involved with Emma that she didn't have time to help Patrick with the malpractice files. Maxie helped out as much as she could and gave Patrick the basic timeline of the mayor's activities on the evening that Brianna had been injured. She also told Patrick that Spinelli and Sam thought there had been foul play involved in Brianna's death.

After Maxie left, Robin started reviewing the files and it wasn't long before she found a very interesting bit of information in the autopsy report. The coroner had found two bruises in the exact same spot on Brianna's skull, which indicated there had been two injuries. Either Brianna had fallen and hit herself on the exact same spot on her head both times, or someone had inflicted the injury on Brianna.

While she waited in Ric's home, Mrs. Floyd talked on the phone to her husband about his lying and cheating. She was tired of being the pony he trotted out for the press. Mrs. Floyd hung up abruptly when Ric entered the room. He was surprised to see her there, but Mrs. Floyd needed Ric's assistance to get the malpractice suit out of the papers. The only way to do that was to convince Matt Hunter to settle or convince Brianna's family to drop the suit. Ric didn't think Matt or Patrick would settle the lawsuit without a fight, and Mrs. Floyd knew she couldn't approach the Hughes family. She thought Ric would be the perfect person to handle Brianna's family, though.

At the hospital, Epiphany was surprised to learn that Patrick and Robin had spent their evening poring over Brianna Hughes's autopsy report. Patrick revealed that they suspected Brianna had been murdered. When Epiphany spotted Andrea Floyd near the elevators, she gave Patrick and Robin a heads-up and then walked away. Moments later, Andrea approached the doctors.

Andrea confessed that she had hired a private investigator to follow her husband. Patrick wondered why Andrea had felt compelled to volunteer such personal information to him. Andrea explained that she couldn't afford for the details of Sam McCall's investigation to become public knowledge. Andrea begged Patrick to settle the lawsuit with Brianna's family. Patrick was sympathetic; however, Patrick's priority was saving his own career, not the mayor's.

A few hours later, Patrick and Robin went to see Mayor Floyd. They waited in his office until the mayor had joined them. Patrick explained that they had a few questions about Brianna's injury. Mayor Floyd bristled at the idea of being questioned by doctors about the death of his mistress. However, he changed his mind when Robin suggested having her uncle Mac ask the questions instead.

Patrick told the mayor that Brianna had sustained two injuries, in the same area of her head. Patrick wondered if perhaps the mayor had struck Brianna, in the heat of the moment, after she had threatened to reveal their affair. Mayor Floyd was stunned to learn of the second head injury. He confided to the doctors that he had loved Brianna and had been prepared to divorce his wife. Mayor Floyd desperately wanted to know who had murdered his lover. Patrick and Robin compared notes after they had returned to the hospital. Patrick believed that the mayor had told the truth, but Robin continued to have doubts. A confrontation between Andrea and Matt distracted them.

At the hospital, Ric interceded when Andrea demanded that Matt settle the malpractice case filed by the Hughes family. Ric warned Andrea that she was making a bad situation worse. He also reminded Andrea that Matt and Patrick had the right to defend themselves in court. Andrea insisted that the case would ruin her husband's career if it went to court. When Robin and Patrick approached, Robin suggested that Andrea step away with her. Robin hoped a little distance would help Andrea calm down. Andrea apologized to Robin for her outburst. Robin sympathized with Andrea's dilemma; however, Robin refused to jeopardize Patrick's career for the sake of the mayor's. Robin warned the mayor's wife that things were likely to get worse.

Patrick and Matt asked Ric to represent them in the malpractice suit. Before Ric could respond, Diane walked up. She handed Patrick and Matt legal documents, while she explained that all of the paperwork in Brianna Hughes's wrongful death case had been filed. Matt suggested that she discuss the case with their attorney and then gestured to Ric. Ric explained that he couldn't represent the brothers because he had planned to leave town. According to Ric, he had received an offer that he couldn't refuse. Diane was stunned by the announcement. She gave chase when Ric walked away. Diane was eager to know if Ric had told Alexis the news.

Robin rejoined her husband and brother-in-law. They realized that it was imperative for them to prove that Brianna had been murdered.

Maxie apologized to Spinelli for misreading the situation with Mercedes. She told him that she didn't want to be one of those girls who couldn't handle her "boyfriend" being around other women. Spinelli was startled that Maxie had referred to him as a boyfriend. Before he could talk to Maxie about it, Robin and Patrick walked in. Maxie was miffed at the interruption. She told Robin that she and Spinelli had been in the middle of something. Robin and Patrick were unapologetic as they explained that the clock on the Hughes case was ticking.

Spinelli perked up. He had new information to share with Robin and Patrick about the case. It seemed that Brianna had a secret bank account. According to Spinelli, over one hundred thousand dollars had been transferred into Brianna's account from the mayor's private account. Robin speculated that the money could indicate a possible blackmail scheme. Spinelli suggested that blackmail would be a motive for murder.

Patrick, Robin, Spinelli, and Maxie went to the Port Charles police station to share their findings with Mac. Mac and Alexis were stunned to learn that Brianna had received a substantial amount of money from the mayor's bank account and that her injuries were not consistent with the mayor's story. Spinelli agreed that Brianna had been murdered; however, he was not convinced of the mayor's guilt. Alexis asked Spinelli who his prime suspect was. Spinelli was forced to admit that he didn't have one, so Alexis decided to ask a judge to issue an arrest warrant for Mayor Floyd.

A short time later, Alexis returned to the squad room to let everyone know that the judge had agreed to hear her petition. After Alexis left, Mac decided to take everyone's statements. Patrick and Robin were confident that Brianna's murder had been solved. Minutes later, Kristina walked into the station, looking for her mother. Kristina was disappointed when she realized that Alexis had forgotten their appointment to spend the day together, so that Kristina could see Alexis at work.

When Alexis returned to the station, the press corps was gathered in the squad room. According to one of the reporters, they had been told that an arrest was imminent. When the mayor strolled in, the reporters swarmed around him. Everyone froze as Mac reminded the mayor of his Miranda rights. When Mac finished, one of the reporters asked the mayor if he had a comment. Mayor Floyd dropped a bombshell; Alexis couldn't prosecute him because they had once been lovers. At the mayor's announcement, Kristina's jaw dropped. Kristina stared at her mother with an expression of utter disbelief.

Alexis asked Robin and Patrick if they were sure about what had happened. They told her that Brianna had definitely taken two blows to the head. Alexis blurted out that it was no excuse, but that she had only slept with the mayor one time and that was the night that she walked in on her then husband Ric, and found him in bed with her oldest daughter, Sam.

Patrick filled Johnny and Coleman in on the situation with his brother and the malpractice suit. They had been able to shift the blame onto Mayor Floyd and possible murder charges, so Patrick was celebrating. Although Patrick wished Robin were there with him, she had remained home to care for Emma, especially since she couldn't drink. Apparently, Robin had a change of heart, because she arrived at Jake's and asked for a cola on the rocks. Patrick and Robin confronted Maxie and Spinelli while they were at the bar at Jake's. They all wanted to make sure all the evidence was correct before the mayor’s trial. Spinelli agreed that the first and most obvious answer was not always the correct answer.

At the Davis residence, Patrick and Robin explained to Alexis that they might have jumped the gun when they had accused Mayor Floyd of murder. Robin took full responsibility for the error; she blamed the rush to judgment on her eagerness to exonerate Patrick of wrongdoing. Alexis couldn't believe that she might have arrested the wrong man. Robin added that they had no idea who had murdered the mayor's mistress.

Shortly after Patrick and Robin left, Diane stopped by for a visit. Diane was frustrated because she believed that society had double standards when it came to affairs. According to Diane, it was perfectly acceptable for a man to cheat on his wife; however, if a woman cheated, then it was "off with her head." Alexis feared that things would get worse for her as a result of her one-night-stand with Garrett Floyd.

The mayor's wife, Andrea Floyd, was lurking in General Hospital and eavesdropping on a conversation between Robin and Patrick. She heard Robin name her as Robin's prime suspect in the murder of Brianna Hughes, the mayor's mistress. Robin told Patrick that Andrea's motive was that she would lose her position and political influence if the mayor divorced her and married Brianna as he claimed he intended.

Andrea was still lurking when Alexis approached Robin and Patrick. Robin told Alexis that she did have a suspect in mind, but she did not want to jump the gun as she had previously with the mayor, so she would keep mum until she had evidence. While Alexis, Patrick, and Robin chatted, Andrea slipped away.

At the Davis residence, Andrea Floyd planted incriminating emails on Alexis' computer. At the penthouse, Spinelli continued to practice his singing with disastrous results. His frustrations mounted when someone knocked on the door. It was Robin and Patrick. Spinelli was embarrassed when the doctors confessed that they thought they had heard someone screaming. Spinelli admitted that he had been singing. Relieved that no one had been hurt, Robin revealed the reason for their visit. They had hoped to enlist Spinelli's cyber skills to investigate their new suspect, the mayor's wife. They were surprised when Spinelli turned down their request for help. Spinelli explained that he was busy with a personal project. When Patrick realized what it was, he suggested that they help each other. Patrick confided that, thanks to Eli Love, he knew of pitch correction software, which could be the solution to Spinelli's problem.

As Robin and Patrick settled into their seats at Metro Court's restaurant, Andrea breezed in. Andrea acknowledged the doctors as she passed by. Once Andrea reached the bar, she pulled out her phone to call Alexis. Andrea demanded an explanation from Alexis, but Alexis had no idea what Andrea was talking about. Andrea offered to clarify things if Alexis met her at the restaurant.

Andrea took full advantage of Robin and Patrick's undivided attention when Alexis approached. She loudly accused Alexis of stalking her husband. Andrea begged Alexis to stop emailing and harassing the mayor. Horrified by the outrageous allegations, Alexis practically ran out of the restaurant. When Patrick checked on the mayor's wife, Andrea pretended to be distraught over the ugly confrontation. She also made a point of claiming that Alexis had arranged the meeting. Robin sat at the table, carefully studying Andrea.

Diane revealed that an anonymous source from the mayor's office had leaked personal emails sent by Alexis to the mayor. Diane confirmed that the emails painted Alexis as an obsessed stalker who was capable of killing the mayor's mistress.

At the hospital, Robin and Patrick invited Matt to join them for Karaoke Night at Jake's. Matt declined because of work. When Matt asked Epiphany to hand him a patient's file, Matt discovered that the patient had opted to switch doctors. Patrick tried to offer words of comfort, but Matt was too angry to appreciate Patrick's effort. Matt was convinced that everyone believed that Patrick could have saved Brianna.

As Matt stormed off, Andrea Floyd approached Patrick to thank him for his kindness following Andrea's confrontation with Alexis. Andrea was eager to show her appreciation by promising to push Brianna's family to drop their malpractice suit. Andrea pointed out that if Brianna had been murdered then she couldn't have been a victim of malpractice.

Later, Patrick and Robin discussed the possibility of Alexis murdering Brianna. Patrick had been surprised to learn that Alexis had once killed a man. Robin explained that Alexis, who had just given birth to Kristina, had pled temporary insanity for Luis Alcazar's murder. Robin couldn't dispute Alexis' claim, given Robin's own experience with postpartum depression. Patrick noted that Andrea Floyd had never been convicted of a parking ticket, much less another person's murder. Matt returned to the hospital and apologized to Patrick and Robin for continually dumping his frustrations on them. Matt revealed that he wanted to work with Patrick and Robin to find out what had really happened to Brianna.

At Jake's, Spinelli had a case of stage fright after his special microphone landed in a pitcher of beer. Spinelli panicked when Coleman opened the microphone for Karaoke Night and invited patrons to sing. Luckily for Spinelli, Patrick and Robin walked in. When Coleman saw Patrick, he tried to introduce Patrick as the first performer of the evening. Patrick refused to sing. However, Robin was game if Patrick agreed to join her on stage. Just before Coleman turned off the microphone, Robin and Patrick took to the stage. The crowd cheered wildly as Patrick and Robin entertained them with their rendition of "The Time of My Life."

Robin and Patrick were a hit singing karaoke at Jake's.  Maxie wanted Spinelli to sing his song, but because he had ruined the microphone that would make his voice seem to have perfect pitch, he was reluctant to sing. To help him get over what she thought was stage fright, Maxie got Rebecca and Lulu to perform with her. They did a hot number that got everyone in the bar dancing and singing. Diane was there with Max and joined them on stage. The girls got rousing applause. Spinelli decided to give singing a try, anyway, despite his broken microphone. Spinelli got up on the stage, but was visibly shaking and tongue-tied when Coleman asked what song to play for him.

Spinelli started nervously singing, "I Want To Know What Love Is." He stumbled over the words, and he could barely be heard because of how softly he was singing. Everyone seemed to enjoy his embarrassment until Maxie took pity on him and walked towards the stage. As she approached, Spinelli grew braver and his singing got better. By the end of the song, everyone was in shock at Spinelli's amazing performance. Maxie passionately kissed Spinelli, which drove the crowd wild. It was no surprise that Spinelli won the karaoke contest.

Robin and Patrick left Jake's after learning that Spinelli was the winner of the contest. Patrick was very disappointed, and he felt that Robin's performance should have at least earned them the trophy. Robin thought it was cute that Patrick was so competitive, and Patrick realized that he was being silly over something as trivial as a karaoke contest. Robin thought Patrick's real disappointment was realizing how much fun he would have had at that contest if he had still been a bachelor. Patrick corrected her and said he was a changed man. Patrick wouldn't give up Emma and Robin for anything.

At the hospital, Patrick was nursing a hangover when Robin approached him. Robin teased Patrick about his sad state. Patrick blamed Coleman and Robin for his condition; he accused them of purposefully getting him drunk so that Patrick would sing. Patrick was also concerned about his malpractice suit. He reminded Robin that Diane had seen him drinking at Jake's. Robin assured Patrick that Diane would not use the incident against him. She pointed out that Diane had been drinking and singing right along with everyone else.

Moments later, Andrea Floyd arrived at the nurse's station to talk to Patrick and Robin. Andrea had good news; she had persuaded Brianna's family to drop their malpractice suit against Patrick and Matt. Andrea explained that the family had realized that they didn't have a malpractice case because Brianna's death had been ruled a murder. Robin didn't understand why Andrea had been eager to help them when the mayor was the prime suspect for the murder. Andrea confidently assured Robin that Garrett had not killed Brianna.

As Andrea walked away, Robin was more convinced than ever that Andrea had murdered the mayor's mistress. Later, Robin told Patrick that she had left a message for Spinelli to return her call. Robin was hopeful that Spinelli could find surveillance footage that would place Andrea in the hotel around the time of Brianna's murder. Patrick reminded Robin that Andrea could be dangerous. Robin was confident that Andrea had not intended to kill her husband's mistress. Robin suspected that Andrea had gotten wind of the mayor's plans to divorce her and gone to the hotel room to pay Brianna off. Robin speculated that things had gotten out of hand, which ultimately had led to Brianna's death.

At the hospital, Carly filled Patrick and Dr. Lee in on everything she knew about the accident. Sonny stood back as Patrick performed tests on Claudia's head, while Dr. Lee tried to hear the baby's heartbeat. Claudia's only concern was saving her baby. Johnny rushed into the room just in time to hear the prognosis. Patrick was concerned that Claudia had a life-threatening brain injury, and Dr. Lee was concerned that the baby had suffered injuries from the crash.

At the hospital, Patrick informed Sonny and Claudia that they were waiting for test results to determine the extent of Claudia's injuries. Sonny returned to Claudia's cubicle with Patrick and Robin in tow. Claudia was taken aback when she saw Robin and asked, "What is she doing here?" Patrick and Robin recalled that Claudia had an issue with Robin's HIV status. Robin offered to leave, but Claudia reconsidered when she realized that Sonny was watching her closely. Claudia reluctantly admitted that she could use all the help that she could get. Robin and Patrick explained that Claudia required medical intervention. Claudia asked what her options were. Robin was honest as she explained that the medication that Claudia needed could result in a miscarriage. Claudia refused to risk her child's life.

Patrick and Robin explained that Claudia had two options: medication or surgery. There was a possibility of miscarriage with the medication. However, the surgery wasn't without risk; Claudia could die. Claudia refused to compromise her pregnancy, so she opted for surgery. Claudia was confident that Patrick could successfully operate on her. Johnny begged Claudia to take the medication, but his pleas feel on deaf ears. Claudia was determined to have the surgery. She reminded Johnny that Patrick had helped Michael. Patrick looked uncomfortable, but promised to have the operating room prepped for surgery. At the nurse's station, Robin asked Patrick why he had agreed to operate on Claudia when he had an injured finger. Patrick insisted that he would be fine after he took a couple of anti-inflammatory pills.

Robin wouldn't let the matter drop. She picked up an orange and a set of keys then challenged Patrick to cut into the orange without shredding the rind. Patrick was annoyed, but the request forced him to accept his limitations. Patrick decided to ask Matt to perform the delicate operation. Matt was reluctant until Patrick revealed that he didn't trust anyone but Matt to perform the surgery.

Johnny became enraged when he learned that Matt would operate on Claudia. Johnny reminded his sister that Matt had recently lost a patient. Patrick explained that he had a sprained finger, which prevented him from operating. Claudia decided that if Patrick had confidence in Matt's ability, then she would, too. Later, Johnny warned Patrick that if anything happened to Claudia because of Matt's incompetence, Johnny would shoot Matt in the head. Matt overheard the threat.

Matt successfully operated on Claudia. Patrick praised Matt's performance during the surgery. When Robin returned to the operating room, she discovered that Elizabeth suspected a problem with Claudia's baby.

Jason called Robin to the Port Charles Police Department and asked for her help with Mac. Mac joined the conversation and, after both Robin and Jason agreed that Michael would not use either the Quartermaine or Corinthos influence to leave town, he agreed to release Michael into Jason's custody. While Michael and Mac signed the release papers, Jason thanked Robin. She told Jason that Michael really needed him because Jason was the only one who really understood what Michael was going through.

At General Hospital, Patrick told Robin that Alexis had confessed to being the other driver in Claudia's accident. Robin found it very hard to believe that Alexis would allow a brain-injured teenager to take the blame for something she had done. More importantly, though, Patrick thought Alexis could also be the one responsible for Brianna Hughes' murder.

As Robin and Elizabeth discussed Alexis' possible crimes, Robin noticed the stress Elizabeth seemed to be under, and asked if she would be up for a girls' night out. Elizabeth was ecstatic, and Robin agreed to be the designated driver for all four of the girls. As Robin is about to leave to for Jake’s, Robin stops a messenger from leaving with the files in Brianna’s murder case.

Patrick later found Robin in the lab at the hospital and realized she had bailed on her girls' night out in order to review the files before sending them to the PCPD. Robin had a feeling about Alexis, and she just didn't believe that Alexis was responsible for Brianna Hughes' murder. She has to make sure her findings are correct before Alexis is suspected as murder.

DVD #10B  Robin grabbed the picture of the autopsy and gave a quick demonstration to Patrick. The mayor was about the same height as Patrick, and Robin was about the same height as Brianna. If the mayor had hit Brianna, it would have caused an injury towards the top of Brianna's skull. The autopsy results showed Brianna's injury had been at the back of her head. Whoever had hit Brianna had to be shorter than the mayor. That left two suspects: Alexis and the mayor's wife. Patrick checked on Claudia and told her she should be able to go home the next day.

At the hospital, Robin and Patrick discussed Brianna Hughes's case. Robin was confident that Alexis wasn't the killer and believed that she had proof. Patrick had his doubts about Alexis's innocence because of her recent erratic behavior. Later, at Robin's request, Alexis arrived at the hospital. When Robin saw her, she tossed a set of keys to Alexis.

Robin smiled triumphantly when Alexis caught the keys with her left hand. At Alexis' confusion, Robin explained that she believed that the killer had been right-handed. Alexis couldn't have killed Brianna because Alexis was left-handed. Alexis appreciated Robin's support, but she was confident that, in time, she would be vindicated of the murder.

At GH, Patrick and Robin discussed Brianna Hughes's case. Patrick grew concerned when he learned that Robin had arranged to meet Andrea. As they spoke, Andrea approached the nurse's s station. Robin immediately tossed something at Andrea, who caught the object with her right hand. Andrea demanded to know why Robin had thrown something at her.

Robin lied as she explained to Andrea that it had been part of a game that the doctors were playing. Robin apologized, claiming she'd seen Andrea out of the corner of her eye and had mistaken her for another doctor. Andrea appeared to believe Robin. When Andrea wondered why Robin had asked to meet, Robin lied again. Robin claimed that she had wanted to smooth things over with the mayor's wife.

Andrea suggested that Robin start by pushing her Uncle Mac to arrest Alexis for Brianna's murder. After Andrea walked away, Robin vented to Patrick. Robin was more certain than ever of Andrea's guilt because Andrea was right-handed. Patrick cautioned Robin that the evidence was flimsy at best. To prove his point he tossed a set of keys to Robin, who caught them with her right hand.

Later, Andrea approached Mac when she spotted him at the nurse's station. Andrea revealed that Robin had made an appeal on Mac's behalf. Mac was surprised, but didn't have an opportunity to respond as Andrea forged ahead. Andrea threatened to have Mac replaced as police commissioner if he didn't arrest Alexis for Brianna's murder. After Andrea sauntered away, an infuriated Robin decided that it was time to prove that Andrea had killed Brianna.

At the nurses' station, Mac told Patrick not to be late for the family dinner, and asked him to help keep Robin from interfering with the murder investigation of the mayor's mistress. Patrick said he would do what he could. Robin arrived shortly after Mac left. She told Patrick that she was determined to clear Alexis and prove that the mayor's wife had killed his mistress. Patrick told her that he thought it would be better if she left it to the professionals. Robin wanted to know if Mac had asked Patrick to discourage her.

Patrick denied Mac's involvement, but told Robin that both he and Mac were worried about her. Robin shot back that she could take care of herself and she was determined to find out what really happened to Brianna Hughes. Robin arrived at Mac's for the family dinner. Maxie told her tale of woe to Robin, who asked whether or not Maxie wanted to marry Spinelli. Maxie said that she loved Spinelli with all her heart, but she did not think that she was ready for marriage. She said that she wanted to keep things as they were. Robin said that the answer was to do nothing. She said that Spinelli would eventually ask Mac, and Mac would say no, which would solve Maxie's problem. Maxie said she could see the logic in that.

Patrick went downstairs after getting Emma settled, and Maxie repeated their conversation for him. They were laughing about who would tell Mac about Spinelli's proposal when Mac arrived home and wanted in on the joke. As the family was about to have dinner, Spinelli arrived with flowers. When Mac opened the door, Spinelli got down on his knees and asked for Maxie's hand in marriage.

At Mac's house, Robin, Patrick, Emma, Lulu, and Maxie looked on as Spinelli tried to ask Mac for Maxie's hand in marriage. As soon as Mac figured out what Spinelli wanted, he was adamant that he would never consent to a wedding between Maxie and Spinelli. Mac was so disparaging to Spinelli that Maxie jumped in to defend her suitor. Both Robin and Lulu tried to get Maxie to back off, but her inner warrior woman rebelled against Mac's high-handed treatment, and she insisted that she did not need Mac's approval to wed Spinelli.

She encouraged Spinelli to ask her again and, when he did, Maxie accepted Spinelli's proposal. Mac was floored. Robin took him aside and said she would handle it. She sent Mac back to work. Lulu also left. When Robin and Patrick went upstairs to tend to Emma, Spinelli told Maxie how happy he was. When they embraced, Spinelli glowed with happiness, but Maxie looked uncertain.

After hearing the romantic news, Robin was convinced the rush to matrimony must have been because Maxie was pregnant with Spinelli's child. That news shocked Spinelli so much that he passed out. Maxie took her delicate fiancé back to Jason's apartment and she assured him that there was no baby on the way. Maxie wasn't even sure that motherhood was something that interested her.

After they had been left alone, Patrick and Robin reminisced about their relationship, engagement, and wedding. Patrick asked Robin what she would do if Emma grew up and started a relationship with a mobster. Robin knew that would be a difficult decision for her. Sonny and Jason were both very close friends to her, but the police commissioner was her uncle. Robin felt that she and Patrick would have to have faith in whomever Emma fell in love with.

After dinner, Robin prepared to take a quick jog with Emma, but Patrick knew there was an ulterior motive. Robin intended to run in the mayor's neighborhood and see what she could find out. Although Patrick didn't like his daughter being involved, Robin explained that Emma would help people relax and spill a little more than normal when questioned.

Robin took Emma for a walk passed the mayor's mansion. Robin hoped that Emma's adorable personality would catch the attention of one of the mayor's employees. While Robin fussed over Emma, a maid stepped outside to check the mail. When she saw Robin and Emma, she bent down to coo to the baby. Robin took the opportunity to strike up a conversation.

Afterwards, Robin went to General Hospital. Patrick recognized Robin's smile of satisfaction as she approached. He realized that her outing had been a success. Robin revealed that the maid had told her that Andrea Floyd would rather see the mayor dead than let him go. Robin realized that wasn't proof of Andrea's guilt, but she was confident that it was a step in the right direction.

At the Drake residence, Robin wondered if Brianna's murder had not been premeditated. Robin suggested that perhaps Andrea had gone to the hotel room to confront her husband and his mistress about their affair. According to Robin's theory, when Andrea saw Garrett exit the hotel room, she had entered without thinking. Robin believed that Brianna might have indicated, with a touch or comment, that her head had been injured. Robin concluded that perhaps Andrea had capitalized on the injury by striking Brianna with a killing blow to the same area in the hopes that it would cover up the murder.

Robin's scenario was too far-fetched for Patrick. Robin argued that Andrea seemed calculating enough to carry out such a crime. Robin suggested that they re-enact the crime. Patrick reluctantly agreed, playing the role of Andrea. As the scene played out, Patrick realized that Robin might be correct. Robin came to the conclusion that Andrea had used an item in the hotel room as the murder weapon. Robin was certain that Andrea had taken it with her after the murder.

Robin and Patrick were startled when they noticed Andrea peering through one of their windows. Robin opened the door. As Andrea entered, Robin observed that, generally, people knocked or rang the doorbell when they stopped by for a visit. Andrea apologized; she explained that she had wanted to make certain that she wasn't interrupting them. According to Andrea, her housekeeper, Myrna, had mentioned that Robin had been snooping around the mayor's mansion. Robin clarified that she had merely been passing by while she'd been out for a jog with her daughter. Robin insisted that the housekeeper had struck up the conversation. Andrea invited Robin to ask whatever questions she might have.

While Robin went to attend to Emma, Andrea engaged in idle chit-chat with Patrick. She admitted that she had never been blessed with children. Moments later, Robin returned to the living room with Emma in her arms. Andrea smiled brightly as she confessed to understanding why Myrna had been so taken with Robin's beautiful daughter. As Robin settled on the sofa next to Patrick, Patrick tried to cover for Robin. Patrick explained that he and Robin were competitive about Emma's outings. He confessed that they liked to see who could cover the most distance. According to Patrick, Robin had gone all the way to the mayor's mansion in an effort to beat Patrick's record. Andrea again offered to answer Robin's questions, but Robin declined.

After Andrea's departure, Robin realized that Andrea was on to her. Robin decided that she had to quickly gather evidence. She was determined to obtain an inventory list of the items in the hotel's rooms; she hoped to determine if anything had gone missing from the mayor's room. Patrick cautioned Robin. He didn't think that Andrea would give up without a fight. Robin assured Patrick that Andrea didn't intimidate her. Andrea arrived at GH, pretending to be looking for Robin. When the nurse informed Andrea that Robin wasn't on duty, Andrea asked for Robin's schedule.

At the hospital, Robin and Patrick discussed Brianna Hughes's murder. Patrick worried that Robin was too focused on Andrea. He reminded Robin that she'd once been equally certain that Garrett had murdered his mistress. Robin realized that most of her evidence was circumstantial, but she was confident that she was on the right track.

Robin and Patrick went to talk to Jax and Olivia about the contents in Metro Court's rooms. Robin explained that they suspected that Brianna's killer had used an item in the hotel room to inflict the killing blow. A short time later, Olivia returned with interesting news. The room had been inventoried in April. At that time, the mayor's room contained a certain statue that had since disappeared. Olivia showed Robin and Patrick a replica of the statue from one of the other rooms. Patrick realized that the statute could have been the murder weapon.

Robin went to see Alexis in her office. Alexis revealed that she was about to submit her letter of resignation. Robin hoped that her news would brighten Alexis' mood; she outlined her theory about how Brianna had been murdered and then named Andrea as the killer. Neither Alexis nor Robin was aware that Andrea lurked on the other side of the office door, listening to every word.

Patrick invited Andrea to confront her accusers. Andrea didn't hesitate to march into Alexis' office. Andrea warned Robin and Alexis not to try to frame her for Brianna's murder. Alexis clarified that she and Robin had no such intentions, but Andrea ignored her. Andrea turned to Robin to remind the young mother that she had a lot to lose. Patrick appeared concerned as Andrea left the office.

Robin assured Patrick that she had not been intimidated by Andrea's unspoken threat. If anything, Andrea's behavior had strengthened Robin's resolve to expose Andrea as the killer. While Patrick tried to impress upon Robin how potentially dangerous Andrea could be, Alexis received a phone call to alert her that Michael and Kristina had been found. Alexis dashed out of the office moments later.

Patrick and Robin lingered a few minutes longer. Robin refused to allow Alexis to pay for Andrea's crime. Patrick remained concerned; he told Robin to be careful. Robin was confident that Andrea would not target her. As Patrick and Robin left the office, Andrea lurked nearby, watching them. Andrea had just completed an Internet search on various poisons.

At the hospital, Matt and Elizabeth asked Patrick what he and Robin had done on their day off. Patrick's displeasure was obvious when he told them about the detective work he had done with his wife regarding Brianna Hughes's murder. They did have a suspect, the mayor's wife.

Meanwhile, Edward ran into the mayor's wife, Andrea, at the hospital. Edward commented that he had seen Andrea at the Metro Court the night of Brianna Hughes's death, but Andrea was clearly a woman with a mission and had strolled right past Edward without even noticing him. Andrea was still hovering around the hospital after Edward's appointment was over. She eavesdropped as he told Patrick that his heart was doing quite well and even his cholesterol had dropped. A nurse left a cart of prescription drugs unattended in the hallway. Andrea took advantage of the situation and swiped a drug off the cart.

At the hospital, Edward was feeling optimistic after a cardiology checkup. Patrick advised Edward to take it easy at the carnival. Edward insisted that he had the heart of a 40-year-old man, not an 80-year-old man. Nearby, Andrea eavesdropped on the conversation, while clutching a bottle of digitalis. After Edward departed, Matt warned Patrick that Andrea had been spying on him. Patrick suspected that Andrea was nervous. As the brothers talked about Robin's investigation, Matt confessed that he was impressed with Robin's instincts. Patrick agreed, but he didn't want Matt to encourage Robin. Patrick feared that Robin might end up donning a catsuit to rappel into the Floyds' bedroom in order to prove that Andrea was a killer.

Matt was curious what kind of evidence Robin had gathered. Patrick revealed that Robin had obtained a list of people who had used their credit cards in the hotel during the three hours prior to Brianna's murder. Robin hoped to discover a witness who could place Andrea at the scene of the crime.

Andrea sought legal advice from an attorney; she wanted to know if a lawyer would be obligated to report a client who had murdered someone. The attorney explained that lawyers were bound by attorney-client privilege. However, he warned Andrea that if there was a witness to the crime, the police were likely to find that person. Andrea suggested that it might not matter if the elderly witness passed away before the police had an opportunity to question him.

At the hospital, Robin found Patrick and Elizabeth, and told them her good news. She had found a witness who could place Andrea at the Metro Court on the date of Brianna's death, Edward Quartermaine.

At the carnival kick-off party, Andrea drugged Edward’s drink. When he lifted the glass to his lips and drank the deadly martini, Andrea watched intently as an expression of satisfaction slowly crossed her features.

Patrick sat on the bench in the dunking tank waiting for Robin to hit the target. To Robin's frustration, she had failed to dunk Patrick. When Lulu and Matt came along, they tried their hand at throwing a ball at the target, but without success. Max was the next person to make an attempt to dunk Patrick; like the others, Max failed. Eventually, Sonny and the children approached the booth.

Molly was confident that she knew how to dunk Patrick. Michael doubted her ability, but Sonny didn't. He bought Molly an opportunity to test her theory. Molly dunked Patrick on her first try. Soon Johnny, Dominic, and Ethan took turns sitting on the bench while Molly successfully struck her target with each throw. Everyone laughed while they cheered on Molly.

In the hospital's locker room, Patrick dried off while Robin announced her decision to go to Metro Court. She wanted to check on Edward. Robin was worried that Andrea might try to harm Edward if she realized that he could place Andrea at the Metro Court on the night of Brianna's murder.

Robin ran into Edward and Andrea at the hotel and told them she had something she wanted both of them to hear. She said Edward had rented a room within eyesight of the room where Brianna Hughes had been murdered. Edward denied renting a room at the Metro Court, but Robin said she had the credit card records to prove it. Andrea told them she wouldn't be a part of that invasion of privacy, and she warned Edward to stay away from Robin. Robin said that Edward could testify that Andrea was in the area at the time of Brianna's murder, but Edward denied that he would testify against Andrea. After Andrea left, Robin wondered aloud what gave Andrea her confidence.

As Edward drove to the carnival, he suddenly clutched his chest and then collapsed. The car crashed through the carnival and mowed down people and rides in its wake. One of the first causalities was Andrea Floyd, who had been arguing with Alexis just moments before. Max was also injured as he pushed a woman out of the way from the oncoming car. As Morgan stood frozen watching Edward's car careen toward him, Dominic sprang into action. He managed to shove Morgan to safety before Edward's car hit Dominic. Robin and Patrick rushed to help Alexis who appeared to be okay. Then they noticed Andrea pinned under the car, Patrick took her pulse but she had died. Ethan rushed to Edward's car. Edward was unconscious as Ethan pulled Edward out of the car. Robin and Patrick quickly surmised that Edward had suffered cardiac arrest.

At GH, Robin checked out Molly. Robin quickly determined that Molly had only suffered minor scrapes and bruises. However, she asked that Lulu keep an eye on Molly in the event that Molly started to show signs of shock. Patrick was concerned about Dominic's injuries but Dominic continued to downplay them. Dominic refused to cooperate when Patrick asked Dominic for the name of a family member to contact. Dominic claimed that he didn't want his mother to worry about him. Dominic was also bothered by the number of people waiting for an update on his condition, so Patrick offered to send everyone away.

Patrick emerged from Dominic's examination room. Sonny offered to cover all of Dominic's medical expenses. Patrick appreciated the assurance; however, he was more interested in contacting Dominic's family. Patrick explained that Dominic was bleeding internally, but they were unable to determine the source of the injury.

Patrick told Sonny and Olivia that they needed to contact Dominic's relatives because he needed surgery and a kidney transplant. Sonny said that he would handle contacting Dominic's mother. Olivia said that she would handle contacting the mother instead. Sonny said that Dominic had saved Morgan, so he should do it. Then he asked Olivia if she had a problem with him finding Dominic's mother.

Patrick told Dominic about the seriousness of his condition and said that his family needed to be contacted. Dominic urged Patrick to just leave it alone. Olivia told Sonny that Dominic's mother might not know that he was in the business. Sonny said that she might be upset, but at least she could help her son. He called Bernie and said to get back to Sonny about Dominic's contact information.

Olivia told Dante that she was going to save him, even if she had to tell the doctors that Dominic Pirelli did not exist and that he was her son, Dante. Dante said that Olivia could not tell anyone about him being her son. Patrick continued to listen at the door. Dante told his mother that she had to keep Sonny from finding out that Dante was undercover, or Dante would be dead even sooner.

Robin entered the room where Andrea's autopsy was being conducted. She asked the attendant if she could go through Andrea's personal effects. The guy said that she could, so she opened Andrea's purse and, after a brief search, she found the drug that Andrea had given to Edward to cause his heart attack. Later, Robin saw Sonny and told him that Kristina was going to be okay. Then Robin went up to Epiphany at the nurses' station and asked if she could go through Edward's blood work chart.

Epiphany said that she had orders to not release the results without permission and that reporters had been asking for them. Robin expressed that she was a consulting physician on the case and could look at the chart. Epiphany insisted that she couldn't show Robin the results. Then Epiphany said that if she put down the chart and a doctor happened to read them without her permission, there was nothing that she could do about that. Robin said she understood. She took the results once Epiphany turned her back. Robin told Edward that he was not drunk. She said that someone had been trying to kill him.

Patrick went to see Dominic and told him that his mother needed to tell his father about him. Dante said that his mother did not even know who his father was. Sonny entered the chapel and told Olivia that the nun from their old church would be proud of them praying. Olivia told him that she had been looking for a sign, and at that moment she knew what she had to do.

Robin entered Edward's room to find Rebecca, Ethan, and Mac gathered around him. Robin revealed that digitalis had been found in Edward's bloodstream, indicating that Edward had been poisoned. Robin shared her theory about Andrea's intention to kill Edward. Edward confirmed that Andrea had been hovering around him nearly the entire time that he'd been at the kick-off party. Ethan found it ironic that Andrea had been killed in the crash that she had, in effect, orchestrated.

Despite Andrea's criminal activity, Edward felt responsible for having injured so many innocent people. Robin and Rebecca insisted that Edward was just as much a victim as the people who had been hurt in the crash. Mac decided to have his forensic department verify Robin's theory. If everything checked out, then Edward would be cleared of all wrongdoing. Rebecca lingered behind after the others had filed out of Edward's room. Edward feared that he had disappointed Lila with his behavior.

During a break, Patrick and Robin talked about Andrea's attempt to kill Edward. Patrick admitted that it frightened him to think of what Andrea could have done to Robin. Robin confessed that she'd never been concerned for her own safety throughout the entire investigation; however, she conceded that she would be more careful the next time. Patrick was surprised by the comment. Robin admitted that she had enjoyed the challenge; it had been addicting.

In Dominic's hospital room, Patrick tried to persuade Dominic to allow him to contact Dominic's family in the event that Dominic needed a transplant. Dominic refused to consider it. Patrick entered the chapel and mentioned that Olivia had left word with the front desk that she wanted to be kept apprised of Dominic's condition. Patrick wondered why Olivia had an interest in someone she barely knew. Olivia lied; she claimed that she had been in charge of the carnival. Patrick pointed out that lies could cost a patient their life. Patrick added that he didn't judge people; he was Dominic's doctor and therefore needed to know the truth. When Olivia remained silent, Patrick admitted that he knew Olivia was Dominic's mother and that Dominic was Dante.

Olivia demanded to know how Patrick had uncovered her secret. Patrick revealed that he'd overheard Olivia and her son talking. Olivia promised to have her brothers, herself, and even Sonny tested if it became necessary; however, she refused to tell Sonny that he was Dante's father until then. Patrick suggested that Sonny had a right to know what was at stake. Patrick reminded Olivia that Dominic's situation was critical. Olivia explained that she had gotten pregnant at the age of 15. She made the choice to keep Dante's paternity a secret for Dante's protection. Olivia promised that if Dante needed the transplant she would shout the truth from the rooftops if she needed to. Patrick entered Dominic’s room and he insisted that he would not undergo a transplant; according to Dominic, he didn't want someone else's organ in him. Patrick announced that he had the test results.

Patrick had good news for Olivia. He told her that Dante would not need a kidney transplant. She was relieved. Patrick urged her to tell Dante and Sonny that they were father and son, but Olivia opted to keep silent. Patrick shared his own experience and told Olivia that the truth had a way of being revealed, and when it did, both Sonny and Dante would feel betrayed.

Molly, Kristina, Robin, and Patrick arrived at the penthouse. As everyone discussed Spinelli and Maxie's wedding plans, Jason and Sam made an unusual entrance. A shirtless Jason appeared at the top of the stairs passionately kissing Sam while she had her legs wrapped around his waist. Everyone watched with varying degrees of shock as the two repeatedly bumped into the wall and moaned in pleasure as they made their way down the stairs.

Elizabeth sought a second opinion from Patrick about Jake’s condition. He confirmed to Elizabeth that Jake had only suffered a few bruises. Patrick suspected that the stuffed animals in the tent had cushioned Jake from the worst of the crash. Patrick observed that Elizabeth didn't appear to be happy about the news. Elizabeth assured him that she was thrilled that her son was fine, but she admitted that she was a bit distracted because she and Lucky had decided to remarry.

Maxie entered the hospital in a panic and told Robin that she could not breath. Robin told her to calm down and also said that she would help Maxie plan Maxie's wedding. Robin told Maxie that most of the arrangements were in order, but that Maxie needed to decide on a location for the wedding very soon. Maxie responded that the wedding would probably be the most elegant and tasteful mistake of her life. She began to walk away, but Robin stopped her.

Robin told Maxie that everyone had jitters before they got married, but Maxie insisted that after Spinelli's close call at the warehouse that she should be more grateful and ready to get married. Maxie said that she was on board with the whole wedding idea until Spinelli mentioned having a little girl someday and Maxie panicked again. Maxie said that she wanted to go on loving Spinelli like they had been. She asked why Spinelli kept ruining things. Robin asked Maxie why Maxie kept letting him.

Maxie said that she loved Spinelli and wanted to be with him forever, but the being married part made her want to run far away. She asked if Robin thought Maxie was awful. Robin reminded her that she had turned down Patrick's many proposals before she accepted. Maxie said it was different because Patrick would have stayed with Robin even if they had not gotten married. Maxie believed that Spinelli was all about eternal vows and courtly love. Maxie said that she could not risk losing Spinelli.

Maxie said that after all the bad choices she had made, she would force herself to make a good one, but that she needed Robin to be there to help her. Maxie asked Robin what she really thought about her and Spinelli. Robin said that she thought Spinelli was the best thing that had ever happened to Maxie, but she did not understand why they could not stay in love, be together, and not get married.

Robin told Maxie to trust her instincts and that there was a reason she hesitated. Maxie asked Robin what if Maxie was wrong about this. Robin said that Maxie would know when it was the right time to get married. Maxie asked when Robin knew, and Robin said that one day she realized that she trusted Patrick completely and that all her doubts disappeared.

Maxie said that she already trusted Spinelli and that she was fine until he started talking about having kids. Robin said that Maxie should talk to Spinelli about that. Maxie said that he would be too hurt if he thought she did not want to have kids with him, so she would just get on birth control or tell Spinelli that she had fertility issues if necessary. She thanked Robin for the talk and ran off.

Jason went to General Hospital to consult with Robin about Michael's returning memories. Jason wanted to know whether or not those memories could be trusted. Robin said there was not a simple answer. When asked for specifics, Jason told Robin that Michael was beginning to remember people who confessed to him that they had been involved with Ian Devlin, the man who shot him.

Robin wanted to know what Jason would do if Michael's memories were real. When Jason did not answer, Robin said never mind, she knew what he would do. She told him that she remembered the gentle Jason from the time that Michael was a baby. Robin said she hoped that Jason would consider what effect his actions would have on Michael should Jason make that person that Michael remembered hearing disappear. Robin pointed out that Michael could easily feel responsible

Robin was on the phone with the florist when Mac arrived at his niece's home to discuss Maxie's wedding. After Robin ended the call, Max told her about Spinelli's latest stunt. Mac had received a call after someone had broken into Rice Manor. It turned out that Spinelli had disabled the alarm system, so that he could show one of the rooms to Maxie. The alarm had activated when Spinelli had tried to reset it.

Mac had been tempted to arrest Spinelli, so that he couldn't attend the wedding. Robin reminded Mac that it was up to Maxie to call off the wedding, not Mac. A few minutes later, Patrick entered the living room. Mac didn't understand how Robin and Patrick could be so calm about Maxie's impending nuptials to Spinelli. Patrick hesitated to judge; he pointed out that there had been a time when Mac hadn't been happy about Robin's choice of grooms.

After Patrick left, Mac admitted that he didn't think that his feelings about Spinelli would ever change. Later, Patrick was relieved when he arrived home to discover that Mac was gone. Patrick confessed that Mac's behavior had freaked him out. Robin argued that Mac deserved a break; he only had Maxie's best interest at heart. When Maxie stopped by to talk to Robin, she confided that she was terrified of getting married. Maxie feared that she would follow in the footsteps of her parents by ending up divorced. Maxie wondered how Robin and Patrick managed to make their marriage work.

Spinelli tracked Patrick down at the hospital. He was eager for Patrick's advice on how to win Mac over. Patrick suggested that Mac's primary concern was Spinelli's lack of stability. Spinelli pointed out that he had steady work from Jason and he was half owner of a private investigation business. Patrick conceded the point; however, it appeared that Mac's mind was made up. Spinelli was determined to get Mac's blessing. According to Spinelli, like it or not, Mac and Spinelli would be family.

Maxie told Robin that she was still petrified about the marriage. Robin suggested that Maxie should not be more concerned about Spinelli than Maxie was about her own self. Maxie said that she would not do anything to mess the situation up. Robin told her to be honest with Spinelli about how Maxie felt about marriage. Maxie said that she had done bad things in the past, but that she had a good job and a man that loved her. Maxie insisted that if she had to force herself to get married to keep the good things in her life, then she would. Robin told Maxie that she needed to be honest with herself.

Patrick told Spinelli that Mac would never approve of Spinelli. Patrick said that Spinelli should not approach Mac, but assured Spinelli that Patrick and Robin would handle Mac. Maxie told Robin that nothing between her and Spinelli had to change after marriage. She also told Robin that she and Spinelli would live with Jason because that was what Spinelli wanted. Robin questioned that choice at first and then agreed that it would be okay.

Maxie said that she wished that Mac would not hate Spinelli. Robin responded that Mac would never think that the guys they were with were good enough for either one of them. Spinelli and Patrick arrived at Robin and Patrick's house. Spinelli and Maxie left to go to their rehearsal dinner.

Robin told Patrick that things did not look good. Patrick asked if Maxie would go through with the wedding and Robin said they would have to wait and see. Later, Patrick and Robin arrived at the hall for the rehearsal dinner. Mac ranted about how Maxie could do so much better than a thug/computer hacker. Robin said that Maxie really needed Mac's support at that time. Patrick told Mac that Maxie needed his blessing. Mac said that he would never give his blessing. Just then Spinelli and Maxie ran in. Patrick grabbed Spinelli to stop him as he approached Mac, and Mac pulled Maxie into a tight hug.

Lulu arrived with a bouquet for Maxie. Mac asked Lulu to try to stop the wedding, but Lulu said she could not stand in the way of true love. Mac continued to protest, and Robin took him aside. Robin asked him not to go off in front of Molly and Kristina. Mac became upset again when Jason arrived. Robin and Patrick again tried to convince Mac that it was Maxie's decision not his. Mac said he agreed, and then asked where the priest was. Just then, a Buddhist monk walked in. Mac got fed up and told Spinelli that he was under arrest.

The monk explained that he needed to find the garden room. Spinelli and Maxie told him where it was and alluded to the fact that they had sex in that room the previous night. Mac asked Jason to do something to stop the wedding. Jason said that he was sure that the priest was on his way. Maxie wishfully stated that maybe they would have to postpone since the priest had not arrived.

Mac took the opportunity tell everyone to leave. He said that they could not have a rehearsal or wedding, since the priest had not arrived. Mac tried to get everyone to leave, but the priest ran in and said that he had been in the wrong part of the building. The priest said that he had run into the monk, who stated that some chanting was needed in the room with Mac. Mac said he did not want any chanting. The priest said that the monk had offered to chant on Mac's behalf. The priest continued that the monk also reminded him that love was the most powerful thing in the universe and that it could bring everyone together, no matter how far apart they seemed. Mac yelled at them to stop as they continued to kiss.

Maxie's wedding day started off with a nightmare as Maxie dreamed of her future with Spinelli. In the dream, a serious, self-assured Spinelli checked his weapons while he and Jason prepared to embark on mob-related business. A pregnant Maxie entered the living room, carrying a daughter in one arm while her son ran around playing with a toy machine gun. Maxie was dressed in unflattering maternity clothes while her limp hair was pulled with an ugly barrette.

Lulu arrived moments later, looking fabulous. Lulu was the editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine and about to jet off to Paris. Lulu had stopped by to see her godchildren, one of whom was crying inconsolably. Robin and Patrick arrived with Mac in tow. Apparently, Mac had lost his mind when Maxie had married Spinelli. As Mac babbled incoherently, Spinelli announced that he'd had an epiphany. According to Spinelli, he was in love with Lulu.

Maxie woke up from her horrible dream to find Robin and Lulu smiling down at her. Robin and Lulu ordered Maxie to rise and shine; it was her wedding day. Maxie confessed that she'd seen her future and it consisted of granny panties and crying children. Lulu and Robin appeared confused, but Maxie didn't elaborate about her dream. Instead, Maxie stood up and then dashed out of the room.

Robin and Lulu tried to reassure each other that Maxie would be fine. However, it was clear that they had their doubts. Later, as Robin fussed with Maxie's hair, Maxie confided that she had thought about inviting Felicia to the wedding. In the end, Maxie had decided not to extend the invitation to her mother. Maxie feared that Felicia would attend, which would open old wounds. Maxie didn't want a repeat of the scene during Georgie's funeral to mar her wedding day.

Robin and Lulu talked while they waited for Maxie to return from the bathroom. Lulu worried that Maxie was on the brink of freaking out, while Robin admitted that she had expected Maxie to be a nervous wreck. Robin and Lulu were about to hunt down Maxie when Maxie entered the bedroom. Maxie was eager to receive her gifts from her bridesmaids.

Robin gave Maxie a handkerchief that Filomena, Robin's grandmother, had carried on her wedding day. Lulu's present was a small clutch purse that had once belonged to famed fashion designer, Coco Chanel. Lulu hoped that one day, when Maxie was famous in the fashion world, she would pay it forward by giving the purse to another bride who would feel equally honored to own something that had once belonged to Maxie. Maxie was deeply touched by the thoughtful presents; she thanked Robin and Lulu for keeping her grounded.

At the Drake residence, Patrick helped Mac prepare for Maxie's wedding. Mac was a wreck; he wasn't happy that Maxie was about to marry a man who worked for a mobster. Patrick reminded Mac that he wasn't happy about Robin marrying Patrick, either. Mac argued that at least Patrick was a doctor. Patrick corrected Mac; he was a neurosurgeon. Mac grunted and then confessed that he had looked in on Maxie before he had left the house that morning. Mac revealed that Maxie's life had flashed before his eyes as he watched her sleeping. Mac insisted that Maxie was too young to get married.

Wedding guests began arriving at Rice Manor. Patrick asked Mac if he needed anything like a stiff drink or perhaps an antidepressant. Mac preferred that Patrick simply shoot him in the head to put him out of his misery. Robin entered the drawing room a few minutes later to let Spinelli know that Maxie had arrived. Mac confessed to Patrick that he didn't know how he would manage to get through the ceremony. Patrick suggested that Mac do exactly what he had done on the day that Patrick and Robin had married.

Robin returned to the limo to let Maxie know that Spinelli needed a few minutes to gather himself. Maxie admitted that she had been thinking profound thoughts. Maxie was certain that if Georgie had lived, she would have been the one meeting Spinelli at the top of the aisle, not Maxie. Maxie revealed that when Georgie had died, it had left an empty place in Maxie's heart. Maxie was certain that Georgie had sent Spinelli to her. Spinelli was the best thing that had ever happened to Maxie; she thought that it would be ungrateful and arrogant of her turn him away.

Mac arrived to escort Maxie down the aisle. Robin and Lulu offered a few final words of encouragement before they left to give Mac and Maxie a few minutes alone. Mac and Maxie spoke from the heart. Maxie realized that Mac didn't approve of Spinelli, but Mac insisted that it didn't matter. Mac understood that Maxie loved Spinelli and that Spinelli made her happy. To Mac, that was all that mattered. Spinelli welled up with tears when he saw Maxie enter the drawing room on Mac's arm. She looked radiant as Mac walked her down the aisle. When they reached Spinelli, Mac shook the young man's hand. He made it clear that he was entrusting Spinelli to take care of Maxie.

As Father Coates began the ceremony, Maxie and Spinelli gazed deeply into each other's eyes. When it was time to recite their vows, Spinelli spoke first. He told Maxie that he had lost the vows that he had written, so he was left with nothing but the words in his heart. The guests chuckled when Spinelli admitted that he was not like others and that he never had been. Spinelli admitted that he was okay with being different. According to Spinelli, Maxie had understood Spinelli from the moment they had met. Spinelli was profoundly grateful and shocked that she loved him. To Spinelli, that was the most precious gift and one that he never intended to betray. For that reason, Spinelli couldn't marry Maxie.

Spinelli spoke from his heart when he told Maxie that to prove his love, he would not marry her. Mac fainted from relief. When he recovered, Maxie said her vows. She told Spinelli that she loved him, especially because he put her need not to marry above his need to marry. She told him that she was a better person because of him. She said he was her essential person forever, and that she did want to spend the rest of her life with him and she did want to get married to him--she just wanted to wait. She then vowed to be his non-bride.

Getting into the spirit, the priest pronounced them unmarried, and told Spinelli that he could kiss the woman who was not his bride. Maxie and Spinelli shared a joyful kiss. They invited everyone to Jake's for the non-wedding reception. Robin insisted that everyone throw the birdseed, which they did as Maxie and Spinelli walked down the aisle. Maxie and Spinelli headed for the limo.

Robin and Patrick talked about all the time they had spent at Jake's and the many fights that had occurred between them there. Patrick said that they had learned that committed love was serious and powerful with the right person. Robin agreed. They shared a brief hug. Maxie and Spinelli arrived. Everyone in the bar applauded them.

Mac sat with Robin and Patrick. He told them how glad he was that Maxie had not married Spinelli, whom he called a nincompoop. Robin told Mac that even though he disparaged Spinelli, she knew that Mac loved Maxie and only wanted what was best for her. Robin announced that it was time for the best man and maid of honor to make toasts to the non-bride and the non-groom. Lulu went first and toasted the happy couple. She said that they had proven their love by not getting married. The crowd cheered when she lifted her glass to them.

The crowd waited for Jason to say something, but he was tongue-tied. Morgan took over, saying that he had the same name so he would speak for Jason. Morgan said how courageous both Maxie and Spinelli had been. Spinelli gave up the wedding because of his love for Maxie, and she had been willing to go through with it because of her love for Spinelli. All the onlookers cheered and drank another toast. Maxie and Spinelli cut the cake that Kate had flown in especially for them. Patrick caught Coleman and Robin whispering, and wanted to know what they were up to, but Robin remained mum.

Robin consulted with Coleman, and then announced that it was time for the non-bride and the non-groom to throw the garter and the bouquet. Jason refused to be part of the lineup, but caught the garter anyway. The crowd got a good laugh. Sam also refused to line up for the bouquet toss, and also caught the bouquet as Jason had the garter. Spinelli said the coincidence was evidence that the stars were perfectly aligned.

When Matt arrived at the party, Patrick asked for help finding out what Robin and Coleman were whispering about. They did not have to wait long, because Robin announced that Coleman had set up the karaoke machine. Spinelli was eager to sing, but Robin said that the assembled guests were going to sing to Maxie and Spinelli. When the music started, everyone at Jake's serenaded the happy non-married couple with a stirring rendition of "I Want To Know What Love Is” as Spinelli and Maxie danced.

Maxie and Spinelli celebrated their non-wedding with their friends and family. Spinelli invited the guests to serenade the happy couple on the Karaoke machine that Coleman had set up. Initially, no one took to the microphone until Ethan stood up to wow the crowd with his rendition of INXS's "Need You Tonight."

Next up were Morgan and Molly, who entertained everyone with their version of the Jackson Five's "ABC." Carly and Alexis beamed with pride as their children sang and danced on the stage. Following Morgan and Molly were the double-trouble duo of Mac and Patrick, who had decided to sing the Village People's "Macho Man." Not to be outdone, Coleman temporarily pulled the plug on the song, so that he could join in on the fun.

Everyone clapped with delight as Coleman, Mac, and Patrick gyrated around Jake's, while they sang off-key. A tipsy Kate was so impressed with Coleman's performance that she planted a lusty kiss on his lips as soon as the song had ended. As the guests cleared out of Jake's, Robin and Patrick tried to play matchmaker between Lulu and Matt. Their attempt was transparent, prompting Lulu to decline their offer to hang out with them and play board games.

Robin arrived at Wyndemere, Nikolas thought that she was there on Elizabeth's behalf, but Robin said that she was just visiting her friend, Nikolas. He confided his feelings to Robin. He told her of his desire for Elizabeth and the stolen kisses that they had shared, as well as the mutual desire that had built between them. He said that it had started innocently, but had turned into something else. Nikolas asked Robin what to do. Robin told him to leave Elizabeth alone. She told Nikolas that if he did not, a lot of people would get hurt and he might damage his relationship to both Lucky and Elizabeth irreparably. Nikolas seemed to heed Robin's words. He offered to walk her back to the launch.

Matt teased Patrick because Patrick needed a babysitter for Emma. Matt said that Patrick was a long way from amateur race car driving and skirt chasing. Patrick told Matt that Matt was the sad one, and Patrick would not trade his life for anything. Louise entered the hospital and asked Patrick if he was "the Patrick Drake" who dated her college friend. Patrick confirmed that he had, in fact, dated Louise's friend, and Louise commented that he was a legendary wild man. Louise told Patrick about stories her friend, Lisa, had relayed to her about Patrick. Patrick said that he did not race anymore. Louise asked him to let her know if he ever raced again. Robin walked up to the two and Patrick introduced her to Louise Addison.

Robin had previously meet Louise and knew that Louise was the new Assistant District Attorney. Louise said that Robin must have been an amazing woman, because Louise's friend, Lisa, said that Patrick was the kind of guy that would never settle down. Louise continued to tell stories about Patrick from his wild college days that she had heard from Lisa. Robin said that she was glad she did not know Patrick back then. Patrick said he was glad, too, because she would have run for the hills. Robin left to continue her work for the day. Louise told Patrick that there was no better husband than a reformed ladies' man. Louise said goodbye and Matt returned right after she left Patrick.

Patrick had his schedule cleared to go sing karaoke. Robin said that he would have to go with Matt or her Uncle Mac, because she had just taken on two more patients for the night. Robin made Patrick promise not to sing a duet with anyone else. Patrick was headed out to karaoke and Matt said that he could not join him. Matt had a date. Although, Patrick thought karaoke would be a nice icebreaker, Matt insisted that he did not want to look like a fool on the first date. Patrick headed to the elevator and ran into Louise. Louise said that she had heard about Jake's, but had never been. She asked if she could join him, and Patrick said of course. They got into the elevator together. Robin stood around the corner with a concerned look on her face.

Maxie went to the hospital to enlist Robin's help returning wedding gifts. As the cousins talked, Robin let it slip that Patrick had gone to Jake's with Louise. Maxie was shocked that Robin didn't have a problem with Patrick hanging out with another woman. Their conversation was cut short when Lucky approached the nurse's station to pick up some paperwork.

Robin handed Lucky a file for a patient who had been a victim of domestic violence. She took the opportunity to ask about Elizabeth. Lucky assured Robin that Elizabeth was fine; she had just needed some time to herself. Lucky congratulated Maxie on her non-wedding and then walked away. Maxie pointed to Lucky as a perfect example of a failed marriage. According to Maxie, Lucky had strayed because Elizabeth had stopped paying attention to him. Robin insisted that she paid attention to Patrick.

At Jake's, Patrick and Louise Addison approached the bar to talk to Coleman. Patrick introduced the new Assistant District Attorney and then led her to a table. Coleman approached moments later with drinks. As he set them on the table, he asked Patrick if Robin knew that he was out with Louise. Patrick assured Coleman that she did.

Coleman returned to the bar where the new bartender, KZ, was eager to sing with the Karaoke machine. KZ went to the Karaoke machine to sing his rendition of Phil Collins' song, "Against All Odds." Patrick decided to go home. He invited Louise to join him, certain that Robin would enjoy the company.

Robin arrived home to find Maxie standing in her living room. Maxie had transformed the room into a sexy other world. Robin took in the moon and star balloons and lava lamps scattered around the room with an expression of trepidation. Maxie assured Robin that Patrick would enjoy the fantasy setting. Next, Maxie presented Robin with a costume. It was a silver vest with fuzzy pink fur and a matching mini skirt.

After Maxie left, Robin emerged from the bedroom wearing the costume complete with high-heeled boots and a sassy blonde wig. She was about to run back into the bedroom when she heard Patrick's car pull into the driveway. Robin quickly ran to the sofa, grabbed a space gun, and then struck a sexy pose. Moments later, Patrick and Louise walked through the front door. Robin was horrified.

Robin followed Maxie's advice about keeping the spark in her marriage. She dressed up as a space girl to surprise Patrick when he got home, but the surprise was on Robin when Patrick arrived home with Chinese takeout and their new friend, Louise. Both Robin and Louise were chagrined, but Robin's doctor instinct took over when Louise tried to leave and tripped over a toy. After Louise's arm was bandaged, Robin, Louise, and Patrick were over their embarrassment and decided to have the takeout together. They ate, laughed, and shared stories from their pasts.

After dinner, Robin drove Louise home. When she got back, Patrick was asleep on the couch. Robin covered him with a blanket. She was looking at their wedding photo when Patrick hugged her from behind. As he nibbled on her ear, he whispered that he wanted to teach the space girl about foreplay. Robin, still dressed in her costume, turned to him and they started kissing.

Patrick was at the hospital waiting for lab results for one of his patients when Jax stopped by. Patrick was impatient, so he ended up snapping at Jax, who was just looking for Dr. Lee. Patrick sat down in the waiting area with Jax, and they both talked about how patience was not one of either of their strong suits. Patrick asked how Carly was doing after her visit to the hospital previously, and Jax told him that Carly was doing fine. They talked about how different their lives were when they had been bachelors. Neither one of them would change it for the world, though.

Jason and Sam arrived at GH with a pregnant woman, she was whisked away for an emergency cesarean section. Jason talked to Patrick about Ian Devlin, trying to get any information Patrick could remember out of him.

Patrick and Robin talked about the discovery that Ian had kept a house for storage purposes. Patrick felt terrible that he hadn't been aware of Ian's true nature. Robin insisted that it wasn't Patrick's fault, but he remained troubled. Patrick believed that he should have realized what Ian had been up to. Patrick decided that he would do some digging to see if he could find any evidence that Ian had a partner. Patrick intended to do what he could to expose everyone who had been involved in Ian's illegal activity. Patrick and Robin agreed that a good place to start was by reviewing Ian's files. However, when they checked the computer, they discovered something interesting; someone had arranged for Ian's files to be transferred to the hospital's conference room.

Later, Robin and Patrick were sitting in the conference room when Jason and Sam entered. Jason realized that Patrick and Robin weren't surprised to see them. Patrick explained that he had suspected that Spinelli had been responsible for the file transfer. Sam worried that Robin and Patrick could be risking their careers by snooping through the files. Patrick clarified that, as doctors on staff at the hospital, they were free to review patient files. However, it would be illegal for Jason and Sam to see the confidential information.

Robin added that she and Patrick would be able to recognize any inconsistencies or irregularities, while Jason and Sam might not because they lacked a medical background. Jason wondered what was in it for Patrick. Patrick admitted that he had known Ian, but had failed to recognize what Ian had been doing. Patrick wanted justice for those who had been wronged, by exposing everyone who had helped Ian in any way.

Alexis noticed Robin exiting the room that Sam had walked out of. Alexis followed Robin to the nurses' station to thank Robin for solving the Brianna Hughes murder. Robin admitted that she had enjoyed investigating the case. Alexis took the opportunity to mention that she had seen Sam and Robin leave the same room. Alexis was curious if Sam had enlisted Robin's help with a case. Robin admitted that she was helping Sam to investigate Ian Devlin.

Later, Jason and Sam went to the hospital to check on the progress that Patrick and Robin had made. When they entered the conference room, Patrick and Robin informed Jason that their search hadn't yielded anything useful. Jason decided to double-check the files, but Patrick and Robin refused to hand them over to Jason. Robin explained that they were willing to bend the rules, but they drew the line at violating the privacy of the patients. Jason explained that he wasn't interested in anyone's medical history, but Robin and Patrick held firm.

Epiphany entered moments later. When she saw Jason, Sam, Patrick, and Robin gathered in the conference room, Epiphany decided that she didn't want to know what they were all up to. Epiphany informed Patrick and Robin that the maintenance crew was going to clear out the items in Lost and Found, so it was their last chance to check if they were missing anything. After Epiphany left, Jason wondered what had happened to the contents of Ian's locker.

A short time later, Jason and Sam were sifting through piles of various items in one of several large bins. Robin and Patrick were nearby, going through another bin. Sam discovered a duffel bag that resembled one that she and Jason had seen in the basement of the house that Ian had rented. A quick search of the duffel bag revealed numerous DVDs. After Jason and Sam left with their find, Patrick continued looking for a favorite t-shirt that he had lost.

When Patrick found the t-shirt, Robin groaned. Patrick reminded Robin that it was just a t-shirt. Robin disagreed; she thought it was a souvenir of Patrick's bachelor days. Patrick assured her that he was happily married and that he didn't regret giving up the single life. To prove his sincerity, Patrick threw the t-shirt back into the bin. Robin fished it out and then handed it to Patrick. She realized that she was just being jealous.

Patrick and Robin then discussed the situation with Jason. Robin wondered if they should go to the police or if they should let Jason kill Claudia. Patrick reminded Robin that they had taken an oath to save lives; however, if Emma had been in Michael's place, he honestly didn't know what he would have done.

Patrick and Robin relaxed in their living room and wondered if they had done the right thing when they helped Jason find evidence against Claudia. On the one hand, Patrick felt Claudia should pay because she had cost Michael one year of his life, on the other, he wondered if what he had done was medically ethical, since he was pretty sure that Jason or Sonny would kill her, once they found out the truth.

Robin said they could warn Claudia, tell Mac, or do nothing. Patrick said that he understood the choices. He said that he kept thinking about what he would do if something like that happened to Emma. He told Robin that if it had been Emma, he would want the person responsible to pay. Robin told him that since they really did not know what the evidence was, that they really were not responsible. She said that they could do nothing and trust Jason and Sonny to make the correct decision. Patrick said that he could live with that solution.

Robin and Patrick arrived at Claudia’s birthday party. They debated whether or not they should warn Claudia that Sonny was on to her. Robin worried that it could be considered a betrayal to Sonny. All heads turned when Sonny and Claudia arrived at the party. Claudia clung to Sonny's arm, while he smiled indulgently at his wife. Everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Claudia as a huge birthday cake was wheeled out on a serving cart. Afterwards, Sonny and Claudia greeted their guests.

The guests were gathered around Sonny and Claudia as Sonny acknowledged the important people in his life and then concluded his speech by turning to his wife. As everyone listened, Sonny credited Claudia for changing his life and leaving her mark on him and his family. Claudia's joy turned to trepidation when Sonny accused Claudia of being everything that people had warned him about.

No longer masking his fury, Sonny angrily denounced Claudia for plotting to kill him and setting the events into motion that had resulted in Michael's shooting. Claudia appeared shell-shocked until Sonny called her a "faithless bitch." The insult seemed to jerk Claudia out of her daze. Claudia insisted that she was innocent, and then accused Jason of trying to frame her. When that failed to impress Sonny, Claudia begged to have a moment alone with her husband. Sonny laughed, but there was no humor in the sound. He apologized to the guests and then assured them that Claudia had lied to everyone for the last time. Sonny vowed that he would make certain that everyone would pay for their role in Claudia's plot.

Desperate to save his sister, Johnny stepped forward. Johnny claimed that he had arranged the failed hit against Sonny. Johnny also insisted that Claudia had not known about it. Sonny revealed that he had heard every sordid detail of the plot with his own ears, so he knew that Johnny was lying. Sonny clarified that not only had Claudia hired Ian Devlin, but she had also enlisted Jerry Jacks to help carry out her plan.

Sonny urged Jax to confirm that he had known about Jerry's involvement in Michael's shooting. He invited Jax to explain the steps that Jax had taken, in order to protect Jerry. Near the elevator door, Carly appeared devastated by Sonny's revelation. Claudia's eyes filled with tears as she begged Sonny to stop. She reminded him of the life that they had built together and the child that they had lost. Sonny shouted for Claudia to "shut up" and then admitted that he "thanked God" that she had lost their child after the accident. Claudia reacted as if Sonny had slapped her; she couldn't believe Sonny considered the loss of their baby a blessing. Sonny shrugged his shoulders and then accused Claudia of getting pregnant on purpose. Claudia lashed out at Sonny.

She claimed that everyone knew that the Corinthos children ran wild. According to Claudia, it was Sonny's fault that Michael had been at the warehouse on that fateful night. Sonny had enough of Claudia's twisted lies, so he ordered his men to grab her. Claudia immediately pulled a gun out of her purse and then threatened to shoot anyone who approached her.

As Claudia made her way to the elevator door, Johnny and then Jax tried to persuade Claudia to drop the gun before things escalated. Claudia ignored them as she pulled Carly in front of her and then shoved the gun against Carly's stomach. Carly was seized by a contraction, but Claudia held the gun firmly in place. As Claudia slowly backed into the elevator, Carly begged Jason to take a shot. Jason refused to risk Carly's life.

As soon as the elevator door slid closed, the restaurant exploded into a flurry of activity. Robin and Patrick wondered what had been hidden in Ian's duffle bag. Sam explained that she was uncomfortable sharing the details of the evidence, but she assured them that it had been sufficient proof of Claudia's role in the shooting. Later, Robin confessed to Patrick that she was sick of the violence and how Sonny always seemed to be at the center of it.
