I have an offline friend who has done a series of Early Brenda Edits with all of her scenes from her arrival in 1992-1994. She has also done an Early Sonny series with all of his scenes from his  arrival in 1993-1994. She then did a 20 Sonny and Brenda tape series from their first meeting on the docks in November, 1993 through him leaving her at  the altar and his departure in Sept, 1997. I have transfered all of these vhs tape edits to dvds and here the descriptions for the Sonny and Brenda edits on 31 dvds (note the dvd descriptions do not match up with the earlier 6 hour vhs tape descriptions). Please note I added some additional scenes to the Sonny and Brenda dvd #1 of the earliest scenes from when Brenda first saw Sonny, her first actual conversation with Sonny (which was NOT on the docks but before that). I also have the Early Sonny series transfered to dvd, includes from his arrival and the early Paradise Lounge days when Karen was a stripper there, meeting Luke and working with Luke for Frank Smith, the jail break, early Sonny & Stone, and this also goes through the early Sonny and Brenda scenes. So for a more complete collection of Sonny's storyline from his arrival, I recommend the Early Sonny series which contains all of his scenes.

The first few Sonny and Brenda edits #1-4 these are more edited to Sonny and Brenda together (these do not contain Sonny's separate storyline, see the complete Early Sonny edits listed separtely), and they do not contain all of Brenda's  separate storyline (see Early Brenda edits listed separately).  Around middle of the Sonny and Brenda Dvd #5 the dvds becomes less pure Sonny and Brenda and becomes more about Sonny's complete storyline, Joan made the choice to follow Sonny's storyline rather than veer off into Brenda's. During the breakup time, it will also follow Sonny's scenes (so not lots of Miguel & Brenda unless Sonny is involved). Brenda's life is  wrapped in Sonny's. By 1996 when Jax arrives, Joan began also including all of Brenda's scenes so by then you get the whole storyline, pretty much all of Sonny and all of Brenda for the rest of 1996 - Sept, 1997 up through Sonny's departure. I then have Sonny Comes Home, spring, 1998 on a separate dvd. This is followed by his next return in Dec, 1998 and I have his storyline edited into summer, 2005 on the Sonny Returns #1-3 and then the Sonny & Carly #1-35 series.

For Brenda's storyline, I have transfered the Early Brenda edits to dvd from her arrival in 1992 and contain the early friendship with Jason and Robin, her affair with Jagger, and the triangle with Karen. This series goes through her meeting Sonny, meeting Lois, finding out Ned is Eddie Maine, and the forming of L&B (all of the separate Brenda/Lois/Ned/Eddie Maine scenes are NOT on the Sonny and Brenda edits unless Sonny is involved), so for Brenda's complete storyline I recommend the Early Brenda series. I follow the Sonny and Brenda Dvd #1-31, with the Brenda 1997-1998 storyline and this series contains all of her scenes from the time Sonny departs, includes her breakdown, recovery, being stranded in the woods with Jason after the plane crash, Sonny's return, her romance with Jax, her mother's arrival, threat off mental illness, through Brenda's "death" (on the Brenda 1997-1998 #1-4) then I continued with Brenda's 2002-2003 Return on the Brenda #5-#7 plane crash, Sonny kisses her, her Vegas wedding to Jason, Alcazar's murder, Brenda arrested and on trial for murder, through her second failed wedding to Jax and departure from the show in Feb, 2003.

Sonny and Brenda DVD #1 - Brenda first sees Sonny at the Paradise Lounge, meet on the docks, Valentine's Day at the car dealership, Sonny is shot and crashes into Brenda, she provides blood for a transfusion and nurses him, Brenda meets Lois

Sonny and Brenda DVD #2 - Sonny sends Brenda a diamond bracelet, Sonny backs L&B Records, Brenda seduces Sonny during a trip to Washington DC to keep him from learning that Ned is actually Eddie Maine, Nurse's Ball, strawberry washing scene

Sonny and Brenda DVD #3 - Miguel joins L&B and Sonny becomes jealous of him and Brenda, Lois pops out of the cake at Katerine's birthday after she learns that Ned is Eddie and married to Katerine.

Sonny and Brenda DVD #4 - The gang all go to Puerto Rico, great location shots, Miguel gives a concert
