Bo & Hope #8  October 1 - November 28, 1984 - 8 hour original edit

#8A  Bo and Hope and Eugene are in the tunnel. Now that Gene's tracking device is working, he and Bo make immediate plans to leave for New Orleans. Hope pleads to go along but Bo refuses as it is too dangerous and they can't both disappear at the same time. Howie is going to stay in Salem and look after Hope. The boys leave the couple alone to say goodbye. Hope wants to know how long he will be gone. Bo isn't sure. She urges him to be careful dealing with the alligator. They kiss goodbye. Howie takes Hope home and makes sure she is safely tucked away in the apartment. She is happy to have some time alone as Shane doesn't work nights and she will have the house to herself. Bo asks Kimberly to cover for him. She is puzzled by his request, he promises that Eugene will explain everything.

Zachary is getting on Megan's nerves. Poor little guy is scared of his new room in the dark. He asks her to read a story and she is abrupt and tells him she is too busy. When the phone rings, she answers it rather rudely. It is Bo and he asks her what is going on. Vulnerable Megan reappears and she pleads helplessness and tells him that she isn't coping very well. He agrees to come over. Megan immediately begins making a mess of  in the living room and pleads she is overwhelmed when he arrives. She complains the housekeeper didn't show up and she hasn't been able to find a nanny she can trust. Bo reads Zach a story and they fall asleep together on the couch. The next morning, Hope beeps Bo on the watch and Zach hears her voice. Bo asks the child to keep the watch a secret and he agrees. Hope isn't happy when she figures out that Bo spent the night at Megan's.

Hope arrives at the hospital and learns Marlena went into premarture labor. She then takes off to meet Megan for lunch and learns Maxwell was in earlier looking for Bo. Max and Megan meet with the new Nurse Honeycutt. Honeycutt tries to hypnotize Daphne. Mrs. H shows up to see Hope. Hope breaks down over the horrible nightmare she is living in. She doesn't have any kind of a life, the only time she is happy is when she is with Bo and even then she is scared to death for him if they are caught. She cries that she is only 18 and she wants to just be 18 and ride on the back of Bo's bike in a pair of jeans, she doesn't want to be a stuffy politician's wife. She sobs that she doesn't think she will ever get this time of her life back.

Kim arrives at Hope's. They talk about old times. Kim brings up that Bo asked her to keep an eye on Hope while he was out of town. Kim asks if she is happily married, if Larry is the man of her dreams? Hope sees where this conversation is headed and changes the subject. Bo calls Hope but is distracted by a girl who starts changing her clothes in the middle of the street. Gene is with Hope, having arranged for her to be alone for the call. Hiope is lonely without him and misses him terrible. He tells her he hopes to be home in a few days. They agree to continue to cover for him. Bo complains Gene's tracking device works an a very erractic basis.

Hope and Melissa catch up over dinner, and then go down to the pier. Andre sees them coming and hides, he is back in Salem!  Back home, Hope can't wait for him to leave on his next trip. Larry seems sadened by their loss of friendship. Hope points out that while she is miserable, that he has everything he wants. He disagrees wth that. He remembers their trip to Vegas and when they were friends and having fun together. He knows this life isn't easy on her and says she must be as lonely as she is. He reaches out and touches her face, she slaps him and calls him a pig. She tells him that she hates him and not to touch her. She tells him if he is lonely to find some other woman. He says he turned to her as he can trust her as she has as much to lose as he does.

Hope is giving an interview. She babbles about the baby and gets the sonogram picturs out of the family bible to show the reporter. She finds the name "Chorvat" in Larry's family Bible. She is surprised by this name and wonders what it means. She cuts the interview short after Abe calls. He needs to get in touch with Bo. He has reason to believe that Bo is now in Europe and there is a job Abe needs him to do for him. Bo calls again (though we don't see him as Peter is off the show during this time).

Hope has a TV interview all about her adorable husband. Hope grits her teeth in preparation for it, hating she has to go on tv and lie about how wonderful her husband is. She carries Larry's family Bible with her as he will swear on it during his inauguration. His brother, Ben, shows up and she shows him the name Chervot that she found in the Bible but he doesn't know what it means. They go to lunch afterwards, and Hope runs into Megan and Zach. Megan prattles on about how Bo is the only man in her life and now they have a child together. Megan determines that Bo is in love with her and never even thinks about her anymore. Hope and Megan have words which are overheard by the lady reporter. The reporter runs off to the phone to call in the gossip. Megan follows her and stops the reporter. Megan tempts her with a trade for a better legitimate story. Megan gloats to Hope about having just saved her.

Melissa wants to touch Hope's stomach and feel the baby. Hope tries to avoid it but Melissa insists. Hope's tummy pillow falls out revealing her pregnancy deception. Hope tells Melissa she never slept with Larry and that she loves Bo. Larry thinks she is pregnant with Bo's child. Hope is relieved not to have to lie to Melissa any longer. Melissa insists that Hope leave Larry and goes up to pack a suitcase and says Hope will come home with her. Hope tries to explain that she was forced to marry and pretend she was pregnant. Mrs. H comes in and helps out and they both try to impress upon her how dangerous this situation is and she has to go along with this situation.

Bo reunites with Diane in England.  As soon as he arrives, Hope calls to talk to Bo. The call is disconnected when Eugene notices they are being followed. Bo hears Hope yelling and asking Gene what is wrong. Bo worries when he can't get through to her, he knows something is wrong. He confesses to Diane that he has never felt this way about anyone before. Bo shows her pictures of Zach and reassures her that Zach is very well taken care of as Megan needs everyone to believe he is her son. Eugene calls back, and Bo is relieved to be able to talk to Hope. She fills him in on Melissa finding out the truth.  Bo and Diane go to the theatre in England in search of Andre but he is told that he has disappeared.

Megan meets with Andre, thinking he is Tony. She is shocked when he reveals himsefl to be Andre. He tells her that Max is "out of the picture" and Stefano is also dead and he now has all of the power. Megan insists that she doesn't want the prisms that she will work for him and she knows things that no one else does. She begs Andre to let her live, that all she wants is to be with Bo Brady. She offers to help cover up for Max's disappearence. Megan promises him that is she disappears that Bo won't stop trying to find her, and Megan can help keep Bo off of Andre's trail. Andre tells her that she has been granted a reprieve. Megan makes a call to "father" and tells her they have been very lucky, Maxwell has been removed by Andre.

Bo calls Megan and talks to Zachary, as Diane listens. They single "Twinkle, Twinkle LIttle Star" together. Hope has a new shadow, Will, who follows her and reports back into Megan. Will calls Megan and says he overheard her telling Melissa that she was going to try to find out what Megan is up to. The next morning, Hope shows up at Megan's door and she is friendly again and offers to take Megan to lunch. Megan pleads that she is busy as Max is out of town. Hope tries to pump her to find out where Max is? Megan changes the subject. Bo returns to town and Megan has done her best to wow him. He asks the reason for the change, and she responds that it is for his benefit. She wants a welcome home hug. He notices Max's will on the desk and asks about it. Megan hides the truth and tells him that Max is on a top secret trip. She comes onto Bo and tells him that he is the only man for her. She kisses him, while Bo doesn't respond he does play along. He goes to Shenanigan's with Megan and Zach. Melissa catches him alone and arranges a meeting for him and Hope. He heads to his father's birthday party, and overhears Kimberly having words with her father.

Bo and Hope run into each other's arms, relieved to finally be together again. (unfortunately there is very low sound during this scene for about two minutes). Melissa enters to warn them about a guy headed this way. Bo jumps him and yells for the girls to run but it is only Eugene. He is surprised to see Melissa there and says she shouldn't be involved as she is just a child. Gene reports Abe is on his way and they are having a strategy meeting. Hope tells the guys about the strange name in the family bible that Larry's brother doesn't know anything about. Bo ushers them out as it is too dangerous. Hope and he exchange quick "I love yous". After they leave, Bo tells Gene that they believe Andre has returned to Salem. Abe tells them that Maxwell has disappeared. Bo reports that Max's will was out on her desk. They surmise that Max is being aced out of his own organization. Bo doesn't have any proof of a connection between Maxwell and Andre but his gut feeling is that there is a connection. Hope calls Bo on the phone and reports that Marlena is on her way to the hospital in labor.

Melissa and Hope arrive at the hospital, and meet up with Bo. Roman comes out and the brother's talk about the babies. (Nice to see them together, as its been a LONG time for them!) Roman is the cute nervous father, and Bo is trying to be the supportive brother though a bit unsure of what to say but he too is excited about the babies. Roman hugs his brother and tells him thanks, the hug obviously means a lot to Bo. Bo goes to Blondie's and is disturbed to find Hope and Melissa there. He is annoyed as he thought they were safely home or at Marlena's. He asks her to go home before someone sees them talking, and he points out Max's sidekick who is intently watching them. Hope looks so disapointed. He tells her not to look at him like that as she knows how much he wants to be with her. Carlton calls Will and tells him she was just seen at Blondie's. Will promises that he won't lose her again!

When Hope returns home to a dark house, and when her watch rings, she answers it "Bo?". Her and Bo start talking, and suddenly Will flips on the lights. He has heard her talking to Bo and holds a gun on her. She quickly tells Bo she has to go. Will grabs her and tells her he likes her perfume. She complains that he is hurting her and will bruise her arm. Will threathens to kill Bo. Hope says that he can't do that as Megan wants Bo for herself. Hope senses that things within the organization has changed. She worries that he is giong to kill her. She warns him that he can't or the baby will die and then he will be in big trouble. She tries to get away from him but he grabs her and pushes her around. Bo calls back, Will holds a gun on her and tells her to answer it. She softly tells Bo she can't talk right now. Will gets really creepy as he touches her hair and tells her that he will be sleeping in her room while Larry is away. She is shocked, "What?" He says this is to keep an eye on her. He wants to go upstairs and catch some zzzzs. She tells him he is crazy if he thinks she will go upstairs with him. Hope refuses to go to bed and says she will sleep on the couch, with all of her clothes on. He pulls a chair over in front of the door and reminds her the house is alarmed.

Megan is informed that her "father" is in Salem. Bo arrives at Megan's and tells her that he is going to move in but only on a month to month basis. He thinks that Zachary needs him. She loves the idea and says that they will be able to spend more time together. Bo asks if she has heard from Max, when he will be back. She says that she has heard from him but doesn't know when he will be back, that he was very secretive. Zach comes out and tells them that there are monsters in his closet. Bo offers to chase away the monsters. Zach agrees and tells Bo that he isn't afraid of anything when Bo is around. Stephano is revealed to be Megan's father! They share a joyous reunion, and Stephano promises that Roman Brady will feel his wrath. She tells him that she has searched for the prisms (which are needed for Stephano's health).

Bo visits Kiim at her apartment and tells her about the twins. She tells him Don already beat him to it. She hedges about visiting Marlena and the twins knowing her parents will be there. Bo tries to reach Hope again and worries when she doesn't immediately answers. Will insists that she talk to Bo. He listens in and caresses her as she talks to Bo. Hope shakily tries to hold it together so as not to endanger Bo. He picks up on the stress in her voice and wants to see her. She tells him that she can't see him that day. Gene shows up unexpectedly at Hope's and says they have to get info on Larry. He is surprised to see Will there and asks Hope to introduce them. Will wants to know why he wants info on Larry and reaches for his gun. Hope quickly says Gene is putting together a family photo album on the Welch family. As Gene leaves, Hope goes to the door gazing after him, hoping to give him a clue about her predicament. Will pulls her back in the house, pushes her up against the wall and menacingly warns her not to play any games or she and her family will pay for it.

Eugene and Bo meet for breakfast and he tells him about the strange encounter he had over at Hope's with her new assistant. Gene observes though that they weren't working and the guy didn't look like an assistant. Bo asks what his name was? When Gene responds, "Will", Bo shakes his head disturbed by this information. Bo decides to head over to the hospital to see the babies, and try to meet up with Hope as she had said she had a doctor appointment that day. A news reporter hounds Roman until he agrees to an interview. Stefano watches the coverage as Roman is given credit for the capture of Stephano DiMera.

Bo finds Hope and asks her what Will is doing at her apartment? She says he is her shadow now. He wants to know if he has touched her? Hope doesn't really answer, but tells Bo not to worry about her but the fear in her eyes is obvious. She tells him she loves him and then walks away, followed by Will. Bo takes off after them. Mrs. H remembers a spy by the name of Chorvat and passes the information to Bo and Gene.  They enter the information in the computer and discover that Chorvat is Larry's father biological father. They realize Chorvat is tied to the Cartel.  Gwen secretly sees the ino about Larry and leaks it to the press.  Will lets Hope talk to Bo on the wrist radio.  Stefano explains to Megan how he must have all three prisms for the proceedure to rid him of the brain tumor. The knowledge is split amoungst the three prisms and he must have all three in order to obtain the information incoded within them, this will happen by shooting a laser through them. He continues also contained within the prism is the key to curing him. He tells her that Chorvat invented the technology but he is held in a Siberian work camp and he hasn't been able to break him out. Gwen leaks the story to the reporter that Chorvat is Larry's father. Megan tells Bo she is upset about the newspaper report on Chorvat's connection to Larry Welch. Bo doesn't look too disapointed to learn that Welch's policitcal career is going "down the tubes".

Mrs. H and Melissa show up to see Hope. Will has kept her isolated and won't allow her to talk to them on the phone. They buzz about the Chorvat information. Hope prays that this will get her out of her sham of a marriage (sound is warbeled, glitchy during this scene). Mrs. H notices that Hope's watch is missing and she realizes that Will has taken it away from her. Mrs. H declares she will immediately tell Bo about this. Hope stops her and tells her she can't, that Will is very dangerous and the people she loves will be safe as long as she cooperates. Mrs. H can't stand leaving her with this terrible man. Hope assures her she will be fine as Will can't hurt her as he will be in trouble with a lot of powerful people. Hope is thrilled to learn that Larry is on his way home and can't wait to find out when she will get her divorce! She is upset when he returns home and he believes is campaign can be salvaged.

Abe tells Bo about a message that has arrived that says "Phoenix has arrisen". Bo takes Zach trick or treating to Roman's and they tell him they have received a raven's feather. Roman admits that he also has received two other items, a picture of the phoenix and a metronome like Stefano had. They all believe Stefano could be alive, or it could be Andre or someone playing a prank.

#8B  Bo calls Hope and tells her about the messages that Roman has been receiving that could indicate that Stefano might be alive and cautions her to be extra careful. They share "I Love You's". Larry gives a press conference to address the report that his father was Chorvat, and he then has Hope speak on his behalf.  Bo takes Zack trick-or-treating, stops at Hope's and gives her a carmel apple carved with "I Love You".

Will surmises that Hope isn't pregnant and he is furious. He grabs her and she pleads her pregnancy again, as they struggle her pillow falls out verifying his suspicions. He throws her on the couch and tells her he only stayed away from her because of the baby. He starts attacking her as she screams no. Larry comes in and throws him off of her. He gloats to Larry that Hope isn't pregnant. Larry throws him out then turns on Hope. He is furious with her deception. She tells him he left her no choice, she lied to him to keep her away from him. He says when it gets out that she isn't pregnant that he could lose everything and he isn't going to allow that. They argue and he runs after her as she runs up the stairs. At the top of the stairs, she pushes him and he falls down the stairs and lays at the bottom of the stairs unconscious. Hope cries for Bo, needing his help and comfort, and runs out of the door.

Meanwhile at the airport, Abe tells Bo that Eric is sick and has been rushed to the hospital and he doesn't think Roman will make the trip to Haiti. Bo tells Roman that he is going to Haiti in his place and he will do what needs to be done (Roman had a lead on Stefano from Haiti). Anna is in a hurry to leave and tells Bo they are boarding the plane. Anna & Tony, Calliope & Eugene, Daphne DiMera and her nurse Ms. Honeycutt, Liz & Carlo, and Bo all board the plane (it is a private jet chartered by Anna DiMera Designs for a fashion show in Haiti). Just as the plane is about to take off, Calliope points out Hope running down the runway. Hope jumps on the plane and begs to go with them. Bo picking up on her desperation, agrees. He asks if Larry is onto them? She doesn't want to discuss it with everyone around. Andre DiMera is also onboard impersonating the co-pilot. Andre pulls a gun on the pilot and changes the heading to "Stefano's Island". The pilot suffers a heart attack, and the passengers being to get upset as the plane starts jerking around and wobbling, then the begin screaming as the plane suddenly begins a fast descent. The plane crashes on the island and bodies and wreckage are seen scattered.

Roman calls and tells Megan that Bo went to Haiti with the group from Anna DiMera Designs. Megan is devastated as she realizes that Bo is on the plane that is scheduled to crash! Megan calls Stefano and tells him that Bo got on the plane in Roman's place and begs him not to hurt Bo. When Larry shows up at the hospital, Roman questions him about Hope running to catch the plane to Haiti. Larry plays it off as she was thinking about and she must have decided to go just at the last minute. Larry tells them that Hope had a miscarriage after the press conference and she needed to get away. Will passes the info on the Hope is also on the plane and she is even more furious to learn Bo and Hope are together! Larry holds another press conference, this time playing the grieving husband and reports that Hope miscarried due to the stress of the past few days. During the press conference, Larry receives word about Hope's plane being missing.

Hope comes to and rushes over to Eugene, he is laying unconscious on the wing of the airplane. She shakes him and calls his name until he comes too. Hope despearately runs through the island looking for Bo as he wasn't at the crash site. She finds Bo in a stream, and pulls him into her arms calling his name. He comes to and they both soon arrive back at camp. Tony is separated from the group, wounded on other side of the island and Andre takes this opportunity to assume Tony's identity and blend in with the survivors. They all sit around the campfire and begin worrying about their fate and possibly dying. Bo stops this dire talk and insists they will be fine and they can head out and look for civilization tommorrow.

Bo pulls Hope away for a few moments alone and asks her to tell him what happened in Salem. She tells him about Will finding out she wasn't pregnant and that he tried to rape her. Bo is horrified at this news. She continues that Larry came home and stopped him, but that her and Larry then fought and he fell down the stairs and he could be dead. Bo says that would be good as it would save him the trouble of kiling him. They are both relieved to be together. Hope wants to tell everyone the truth about the false pregnancy. Bo says they should keep up the ruse about the miscarriage until they get back to Salem.

Shane meets with Roman and fills him in, Shane is his ISA contact. He tells him that Kimberly has photos of Stefano's island and if he knew that her life would be in danger. Shane reports the photos will help them find the unchartered island. He continues that he believes Andre had a plan to hijack the plane and take it to Stefano's island. Roman determines he will go to Haiti to meet with the monk that contacted him with information and hopes it may lead to his brother and the rest of the missing. Shane then meets with Abe and fills him in on the suspected hijacking. He tells Abe that Kim did a photo shoot several years ago of the Bermuda triangle and they believe she has a picture of Stefano's island that the ISA has not been able to find.

Hope asks a quiet Bo what he is thinking about? He says Howie and Mrs. H. She makes a bed for them and she pretends they are in a fancy hotel and are on vacation. He plays along and says he has just won $5 million dollars in the lottery. He tells her how much he adores her. Meanwhile, after sleeping with Andre, Anna realizes that Tony isn't Tony but his look alike homicidal cousin. The next morning, Bo, Euguene and Hope search the island but find nothing but uninhabitated wilderness (this is on location). Bo and Hope take a break on the way back, he tells her the one good thing about this situation is the two of them are together and he kisses her.  Back at camp, the gang have found part of the radio and Eugene will work on repairing it though an important piece is missing. They want to set up a signal fire on the beach but a rainstorm that night sends them all running into the aircraft for cover.

Daphne (Tony's mother) dies, and Andre has to put on a display of the grieving son. The islanders hold a memorial and Liz sings, "Amazing Grace". Hope is reeling in the aftermath of the death. Eugene and Bo are trying to make a shelter and Hope insists on helping. Calliope enters the picture and her and Hope have words, Hope is very snarky with her and walks off. She feels bad for how she spoke to Calliope and Bo agrees with her that she shouldn't have said those things. Bo assures her that they are all scared and they have to try to work together and not let the situation tear them apart. Hope asks Bo to hold her. She says she will apologize to Calliope for saying those nasty things, but first she will apologize to Bo so then can make up. He likes that idea and begins kissing her. Bo talks to her about sailing, about wanting to fishing with his dad when he was a child. He talks about the merchant marines, and wanting to sail around the world. He promises her that when they get back to Salem that they will be together, no more sneaking around. He says to hell with Megan and the Cartel.

Andre contacts Abigail who is being held by Stefano. Andre reports into Abigail that everyone is okay except for Daphne. Stefano contacts Megan and tells her that Bo is alive and well. She is horrified that Hope is alive and realizes that Bo and Hope are stranded on the island together and she is furious! Bo and Hope spend the night alone together, and wake up the next day and revel in being alone together. He asks her if he has told her how much he loves her? She asks him to show her. Finally get some location scenes as bo and Hope romp on a real beach. Their fun is short lived when Hope is stung by a sting ray. She has an allergic reaction and has trouble breathing. Bo rushes back into camp and screams that Hope is hurt and barely breathing. They all run to her side and Bo holds her as Honeycut treats her. She sends Bo to soak his shirt to try to bring down Hope's fever. While everyone is occupied, Honeycut prepares to give Hope a large shot of insulin. Calliope stops her just in time and says that shot could kill Hope! Bo wants to know what the hell she is up to? She pleads ignorance as she thought it was Benedryl, an anti-histimine. Hope's fever begins to climb and Bo has a meltdown as he is worried about Hope. He wants to make a raft and go out and find help.

Hope is delierious with fever and cries about being married to Larry. Bo holds her and comforts her. He tells her that she isn't going to be with Larry anymore and when they get back to Salem and Bo is going to marry her and she will have a real big wedding. Bo realizes that Thanksgiving is next Thursday and they begin talking about their family holiday memories, especially Bo with stories of a Brady Thanksgiving. Hope takes a turn for the worse, and he desperately calls out for Honeycut to come help. Hope is in shock and they pile the blankets on her. Bo sits with her and holds her and talks to her. He tells her he loves her and calls her Mrs. Hope Brady and reminds her of when they were married in New Orleans. He promises it will just be her and him together and they aren't going to let a stingray get in the way of their happiness after everything they have been through. Hope hears his words and weakly says, "Mrs. Brady"? He is so relieved and tells her she is going to be just fine.

The next morning, Hope is awake and her fever has gone down. She sees the raft that Bo is working on but worries about him going out into the ocean in his home made raft. She wants to know why he always has to be the hero? She doesn't want to lose him. He points out he is the only one who has any experience sailing and being on the ocean. Hope thanks Kate for helping her, for saving her life. Bo, Eugene, Hope and Kate prepare the raft. When Bo equates the raft with Huckberry Finn's, Hope points out that he is tacking the ocean whereas Huck floated down the Mississippi River. Talk turns to Thansgiving again but when everyone gets homesick, they stop that topic. Bo and Eugene talk and Bo tells him that things will be different when he gets back to Salem. There will be no more Dick Tracy watches, and prisms, that he and Hope are going to be together and live a normal life. Bo teases Gene about Calliope and points out that she is cute. Gene admits that he envies what Bo has with Hope, that when he sees them together it makes him want that type of relationship for himself.

Andre finds the raft and slashes the sail, cackling with glee.  Shane was caught in Stefano's compound  by Petrov. Petrov leaves Shane hancuffed and shackled at the compound with a bomb ticking nearby. Petrov calls from the air and tells Stefano that he is setting off the explosion. He is shocked to see that it has triggered the volcano to erupt! Bo runs into Calliope, Tony, and Jasmine. Tony informs Bo that he has been recovering on the other side of the island. Bo realizes that Andre has been with them, impersonating Tony. Tony tells him that Andre hijacked the plane as he was trying to get to Stefano's island. Tony wants to kill Andre. Bo warns him that Anna will be at risk but Tony assures him that he won't do anything to jeopardize her. They plan on how to approach Andre. Once back at camp, Calliope whispers to Eugene that Tony is actually Andre. Hope has gone down to the beach to see Bo off. Bo realizes that Hope is down on the beach alone with Andre on the loose and he races towards her.

Hope sees an approaching boat, and runs towards it thinking they have been rescued. She is shocked to see Stefano DiMera! Stephano's ladies take her hostage as she cries for Bo's help.  Bo arrives on the beach and sees Hope being taking away by boat as a hostage. He sees them headed towards a yacht in the distance and reads the name "Renee". Anna finds a gun in Honeycuts bag and tries to shoot Andre with it. He runs into the jungle, straight into Tony! They fight and wind up both stuck in quicksand. Tony is shocked to see Stefano appear out of the jungle. Stefano steals the prism from Jasmine and leaves Andre and Tony both there to die. Jasmine pulls Tony out as Andre sinks under. The islanders see a plane flying overhead and begin jumping up and down and waving. Roman is in the helicopter and comes into the island. Bo has swum out to the yacht and rescued Hope. He uses the yacht's radio to contact the Coast Guard and report their position. Bo is told that Roman was in the helicopter. Bo realizes that Roman is on the island with Stefano and heads back to land to help his brother. As Bo and Hope are in the motorboat headed back to the beach, Stefano orders his goonette to take aim and kill Hope as she stands in the way of his daughter's happiness. Roman knocks the rifle out of her hand and sends her over the cliff. Stefano pulls a gun on him

Roman and Stefano fight on the cliff, Roman is shot and falls to the sand below. Hope and Bo watch as they try reach land. Stefano receives word that the ISA is on the way and they must leave the island now! Bo races to his brother's side. He pulls Roman into his arms and tenderly holds his dying brother, begging him to hold on. A chocked up Bo talks to Roman about their childhoold and how Roman always looked out for him. Bo didn't appreciate it at the time but Roman was always right. Hope arrives back at camp and tells them about Roman being injured, and Stefano being on the island. Roman "dies" in Bo's arms and a heartbroken Bo leaves Roman on the beach and runs back to camp. He tells Gene that they have to find Stefano as he killed his brother! When Bo returns to the beach, Roman's body is gone. They assume that his body was washed out to sea. Bo tries to run into the ocean to search for him but Hope stops him as she can't bear to lose him. The Coast Guard calls Marlena's and reports that they have been contacted by the survivors, he reports that there are three dead (Daphne, pilot, Andre) and one missing (honeycut) and one badly injured but they don't have names of the survivors yet.

The Coast Guard arrives and begins treating the survivors and taking names and finding out who is alive and accounted for. They fill him in on Honeycut's actions and Stefano being responsible for Roman's death. Hope tries to comfort Bo but he is locked away in his grief, blaming himself for his brother's grief. He believes it is his fault that Roman died as Bo wasn't there to help him. Roman was supposed to stay home and take care of his family, not show up on the island and be a hero. Kim and the Brady's congregate at Marlena's for news on the Islanders. The Brady's rejoice when Bo calls Marlena, thrilled to hear he is okay. He stops her and tells her not everyone is okay, that Roman isn't okay. Bo tells Marlena that Roman died. Marlena is in shock and the phone hangs limp in her arms. Bo's father picks up the phone to hear the devastating news of his older son's death. Bo cries that he held Roman in his arms and tried to tell him that help was on the way and he was going to be okay but Roman didn't listen to him. The Brady's and Horton's gathered are grief stricken.
