Bo & Hope #18 July 9-September 30, 1986: 8 hour original edit

DVD #18A Steve tells Victor that he thinks it is a waste of time to follow Kayla around. Victor disagrees as he wants all the information about Bo that he can get. After Steve leaves, Victor orders his henchman to teach Steve a lesson. Hope goes to tell Kim that she is pregnant. Kim is ecstatic for them. She fills Hope in on the search for Andrew, he is in Cleveland and they will have to buy him back.

7/10 Victor announces to Bo that they need to reconsider their arrangement. Victor informs Bo that if neither he nor his wife can be trusted their deal will be over and both will be asked to leave. Bo informs Victor that Hope is pregnant.

Hope & Melissa talk at Shenanigans. Victor is forcing Pete to launder money. Roman & Hope talk and she tells him that she is pregnant. She tells him that Bo is not in the least excited about being a father. He gives her a pep talk.

Bo joins them and later privately tells Hope that they need Victor to trust them and by her confronting him over Pete that she almost blew the whole deal. She argues that she is trying to protect her family. He makes a crack about a lot of things happening that weren’t planned, referring to the pregnancy. She gives him a look and then abruptly leaves without saying goodbye.

Roman advises Bo that Hope is going to need his support in the next 8 months and suggests he stop acting like a “lost little Kirikis”. He tells him that he needs to show Hope that he cares, show her some affection, do something to show her that her decision to marry him was the right one. Roman reminds him that marrying Hope was the best decision he ever made and begs him not to blow it.

Melissa calls and tells Hope that Victor has let Pete off the hook. Victor comes in and tells her that he did this out of caring for his daughter-in-law. He warns her that their family relationship has limits and not to test it again.

When Bo comes home, Victor tells him that the situation with Pete has been resolved and he doesn't ever want this to happen again. Bo agrees that they don't either. Victor tells him how important having a family is to him. Bo inform him that Hope is pregnant. Victor is thrilled. After he leaves, Hope is less than happy that he told Victor. Bo reminds her that part of this deal is trust and he is trying to protect the Bradys and building trust with Victor.

Hope tells him that only an hour ago that Victor threatened her to not go up against him again, that family loyalties have their limitations. She tells Bo that when the baby is born, she will not be living at Victor’s. She taunts him that he might not be happy about the baby but she will protect her child. He hugs her and tells her of course he wants the baby. He admits the timing isn’t great. He doesn’t want her to worry about Victor. He asks her to just take care of little Boo Boo. He starts teasing her with names, Cornelius? He gives her a present for the baby, a silver baby spoon. The spoon was his as a baby, and his pop’s before that. They tell each other how much they love each other and kiss.

7/14 Victor surprises Bo and Hope with a family dinner to celebrate the baby – he is not taking no for an answer. Hope doesn’t like Victor moving into their family life. She wants to keep the baby separate from Victor. Bo points out that when Victor does something, he does it for a reason. He suggests they should go along with it to find out what he is up to. Bo overhears a rave review of his performance at Allied. Victor is thrilled to hear the good news and says how much he respects Bo and wants him to move up in the ranks. Bo listens in as Victor continues to rave about Bo’s strength of character and how proud he is of him, that his rebel side is him just trying to be his own man.

Hope comes down for dinner in a beautiful red gown, Bo is wearing his white tux. She is not looking forward to this evening, Bo says it might not be that bad. Victor comes in and tells them that he arranged a celebratory dinner for the two of them together and has had the dinner catered. He urges them to enjoy and leaves them alone.

Bo toasts Hope, to the woman who taught him what being a man is all about, to the woman who carries around a little part of him all of the time, even before she was pregnant with his baby, to his “Fancy Face”. She leans in to kiss him and they are interrupted again by the servers. Their constant interruptions annoy Bo and he wraps up the dishes, food, and candelabra and whisks her off to the docks to enjoy their feast alone.

They dance together on the docks, and Victor is stunned to see them there. He observes they know more about romance than he does. Bo invites him to share the champagne with him since Hope can’t drink. Bo says he wishes he had a beer and Victor magically pulls one out, and admits he enjoys a beer on the docks. (LOL, this seems so out of character). Hope rolls her eyeballs as they are seemingly bonding. Victor takes his leave. Hope is shivering, and Bo holds her. She is scared as everything is changing too fast.

7/16 Hope isn’t feeling well, and Bo asks her to not worry about anything, to just take care of herself and little Boo. Victor informs Bo that it is time for him to take an active role in his organization, at a higher operational level. Victor observes that he has an attitude but Victor can get past that, Bo has a natural talent for leadership and is his heir. He says he turned around the employees at Allied who resented him, he is very impressed with that. Bo warns him that he won’t wear a monkey suit, Victor doesn’t care what he wears, he can wear his underwear! He is offering Bo a real future, and seems disappointed that Bo doesn’t appreciate the opportunity he is being given.

Alex is taken back when Victor announces his plans for Bo to take over “The Pearl”. Doug informs his daughter that he will be leaving to meet up with Julie, whom has finished her cruise. He is still worried about her, but she assures him that she will be out of Victor’s house before the baby is born. Chris hires Hope to find out who is extorting the merchants on the docks. An informant tells Hope that something illegal is going down, Pier 5 on Friday night on “The Pearl”. Victor tells Bo that the Pearl has been delayed a week, so they will re-assign him to something else (obviously rethinking having Bo involved with the illegal deal in the works).

When Hope returns home, she fills Bo in on the tip she received. He offers to help her with the case. She tells him that she has already turned it over to Abe & Roman and asked for their help.

7/18 Abe questions Bo about his loyalties and is suspicious that Hope is being set up and could be walking into a trap. Abe stops Bo in his tracks when he asks Bo if he ever thinks about Theo as he sits at Kirikis’ table. Bo heads over to Shane’s place and tells him that them going after Victor for something minor like this isn’t going to bring him down. Bo plans on trying to help Victor and cementing his trust in Bo, come out of it looking like the good son. Shane tells him that he doesn’t continue to have to do this. No matter what, Victor is his father and it has to be hard for Bo to betray his own father. Bo disagrees and says when this all goes down, he will be fine giving him the final shove!

Bo shows up at the hospital and visits Marlena who has come out of her coma. He starts to tell her about Hope’s pregnancy and she passes out again. She has lapsed back into the coma. Bo then goes looking for Victor, he is off to Paris. Bo tells Alex that they have to act fast. Alex doesn’t trust Bo and doesn’t want him anywhere near the shipment. Bo pays off the informant, Woody, to go back to Abe & Hope and tell them that he overheard that it is going down on Pier 19 instead. Bo saves the day for Victor, and continues giving a puzzled Alex orders. Hope is upset when Bo confirms that Victor owns S&L Shipping. The shipping crates contained tractor parts, not illegal contraband.

7/21 Hope is thrilled to be home alone with Bo with no Victor! Victor soon arrives home. Bo fills Victor in and tells him that Hope had given the Salem PD about the illegal shipment. Bo pulled a switch to save the shipment. He diverted the cops to another pier and sent the shipment elsewhere. Victor is impressed and said he couldn’t have handled it better himself and he appreciates his loyalty. Hope is upset when she walks in to see them shaking hands. She observes they are becoming very chummy.

Kayla shows up and tells Bo & Hope that Kim & Shane went to Cleveland two days ago following a lead on their missing baby, Andrew. She hasn’t heard from them and can’t reach them. She needs their help to help Shane & Kim. They all head to Cleveland. Once there, Bo reports Shane’s rental car as stolen. They head to the address where Shane’s car was reported abandoned. Steve is already there and the kidnappers escape as Bo & Hope & Kayla come in and stop him. Kayla is furious that he was involved in the kidnapping. He says he only found out about this situation this morning. He tells them that Shane & Kim are being held in the other room. They are released and they ask where Dr. Denison is? Steve points out that he tried to tell them that they were letting them escape. The police come in and arrest Steve as he swear he is innocent and was just trying to help.

7/23 Bo and Hope recollect on their trip to Cleveland in an effort to find Shane and Kimberly. The two of them question how Patch could have possibly known they would be there and Hope assumes that Victor is somehow behind it. Bo doesn’t think Victor was involved in this. Bo has a sit down with Victor to ask him if he had Andrew kidnapped; he is angered by the accusations. Victor says he would never have denied his son his own mother, and deny himself the opportunity to see his child. Victor is disappointed that Bo doesn’t realize how important family is to Victor. He swears that he has agonized over Andrew’s fate and he did not have anything to do with Andrew’s kidnapping.

Bo tells Hope that she is wrong, that Victor wasn’t involved in Andrew’s kidnapping. She is saddened to hear that he believes Victor and says he is using his relationship with Bo as his father to get him to trust him. Bo believes sometimes Victor does care, and he isn’t lying about this. He tells her that Victor has given him something, he believes in him and supports him in a way that Sean never has. Hope goes over to talk to Shane, he shares that Steve is sure that Victor is behind the kidnapping.

When Bo talks to Kim, she reams him for believing Victor. She questions him about why he sold out his own family for what Victor can give him. She can’t believe her brother has turned his back on her and taken Victor’s side. Bo insists to her that Victor was not involved in this. Back home, Victor invites Bo to join him at a father/son banquet, it is a black tie affair. Bo warns him that he doesn’t let other people do his thinking for him, that he doesn’t have anything to prove to anyone. Victor is concerned about the stress that Hope is under due to her distrust of him.

7/24 Bo feels guilty about leaving Hope home alone and comes home bearing take out after having ditched Victor at the banquet. Hope is happy to see him. Alice goes to see Shawn and Caroline for a shot of encouragement, she wants to get to the bottom of what is going on between Bo and her granddaughter. She thinks it is all very suspicious they are living with Victor.

Alice walks in and overhears Hope asking Bo when they are getting out of there. She knows that Hope isn’t happy and there is a sadness about her. She wants to help them get out of there and points out all the times she has helped them in the past. Bo tells her that he is where he wants to be, they aren’t being held prisoner and he leaves.

Victor comes home, furious that Bo ditched him. Bo is upset over lying to Mrs. H and doesn’t want to talk to him. Hope and Alice join them and Mrs. H sweetly says she hopes Victor doesn’t mind her stopping by to visit her granddaughter. Alice extends an invitation for Bo, Hope and Victor to come have dinner with her and Tom.

After Bo & Victor leave them alone, Mrs. H knows that Hope is hiding something. She says that they have both changed since moving into the mansion. Hope tries to protest that things are fine but Alice cannot believe it. She knows there is something wrong in this house. Hope tells her how much she loves her and that she isn’t going to lose her. In the middle of their conversation, Shawn calls them and explains that Marlena has gone into cardiac arrest and they are needed at the hospital. The Brady family gather around Marlena’s bedside after Neil revives her and they all pray for her to come out of the coma. After everyone leaves the room, a tear slides out of Marlena’s eye and rolls down her cheek.

7/30 Hope gets angry when she learns Victor has requested Bo’s presence at a party to introduce him as his son. Hope agrees to attend the party with Bo to stop Victor from sinking his claws further into his husband. Victor introduces Bo to the businessman in Italy whose shipment he saved. He thanks him and says it is arriving two days early thanks to Bo’s intervention. Bo asks Hope to cover for him and runs out to find Shane. He gives him the info about the shipment.

Shane will contact the ISA to set up a sting operation. Victor asks Hope where Bo is. She excuses that he went down to the garage and Victor is going to go find him. Hope fakes a faint forcing Victor to stop and help her. She buys Bo enough time to come back in before Victor realizes he has been gone. When Hope gets Bo alone, she questions how much longer she can keep up the charade. Privately, Hope begs Bo to tell her where he went. He tells her that he can’t, for her protection. She tells him she doesn’t know how much longer she can do this, and she is worried about them and what this is doing to them.

8/1 Bo listens in from the stairwell, Alex comes in and tells Victor that the shipment was seized. Victor realizes he was set up and demands that Alex finds out who the informant is. Victor demands to know from Bo what happened to his shipment. Bo plays it cool and tells him that he is worried about future shipments. Victor tells Alex that he is going to have Bo accompany the next shipment to Europe and test his loyalty. Victor assures Alex that he too suspects Bo’s sudden conversion to working with him.

Tom realizes that Alice invited the entire Kiriakis family to have dinner with them. Hope wants to cancel the dinner because she doesn’t want Victor, Bo and herself pretend to be a happy family. Alice refuses to let them cancel, she misses Bo and wants to make sure that he is happy.

Victor, Hope and Bo all arrive at The Horton House and it is painfully quiet over appetizers. Mrs. H asks how work is going. Victor raves about how talented Bo is and reports that he will be going to Europe to supervise a shipment. Hope is not happy to learn that he will be gone for three-four weeks for Victor.

Steve sees the limo outside and stops in to inform Bo that Britta is back and hiding out at Roman’s. Steve asks Bo to get Victor’s men to back off from Britta. Steve tells him that he thinks Britta is sick, she is coughing all the time and looks like hell. He doesn’t want to see Britta dead. Bo promises to see what he can do. Bo asks to talk to Victor outside in the limo. When Victor learns that she is back, he tells Bo he is going home. He then sneaks over to Roman’s. He demands to know how much she has told Roman about the events in Stockholm. He promises her freedom, and not just for her but he threatens her brother, Lars, and Steve if she doesn’t cooperate. He tells her that Lars will never dance again, and Steve will be with a fatal accident. Britta then tells Victor all about Roman’s meeting that night with Billings to get the info in the safe deposit box. Victor makes her promise to give him the info as soon as Roman receives it. She sadly agrees.

Bo & Hope return home and argue about him going to Europe. Hope refuses to stay at the mansion with him gone. She warns him that if he leaves that she will move out. She gives him the ultimatum that it is his father or her! Victor listens in to this conversation.

8/4 Hope is angry that Bo has to go on this business trip. He asks her if she is serious about moving out? She says not only that but she will be moving out of his life! She warns him to put his marriage first and stay home and work on it. Bo wants her to go with him. Bo tells Victor about Hope’s resistance to going to Rome. Victor agrees but tells him that if Bo doesn’t go on this trip that he will never become deeply involved in his business. Victor tells him that this trip is important for him to learn the intricacies of his business and to see if he is capable of this job. Roman comes to ask Victor his whereabouts last night. Victor has an alibi during the time that Billings was murdered.

Bo & Hope make love and she begs him again to not leave. She gives him the ultimatum again that she won’t be there waiting for him when he gets back.

8/7 Victor asks Bo if he is going to Europe. Hope comes downstairs and would like to know the answer to that question. Bo asks to talk to Hope alone. He tells her he has to go to Europe, that he is doing it for their future, for business. Hope is devastated as she believes he is choosing Victor over his relationship with her, especially since he won’t tell her the truth about why he is doing this. She tells him she will be leaving the mansion after breakfast. He promises her that she is the most important thing in her life and he would never do anything to deliberately hurt her. She warns him that if he leaves, she will be packing her bags not just to leave this house but to leave him too! Bo goes to Kim and tells her what is going on between him and Hope. She warns him if he makes this choice, that things might not be the same between him and Hope when he returns. He asks her to look after Hope while he is gone.

Meanwhile, Hope goes to visit Kayla and tells her what is going on. Back at the mansion, Bo begs her not to back him into a corner. He promises her that things will be different when he returns. She agrees as she won’t be there! As Bo gets into the limo, Hope heartbrokenly stands at the window watching him as he leaves for Europe. She turns away and picks up their wedding photo and cries as she cradles it tenderly.

8/8 Victor seems surprised that Hope is moving out. He tells her that she is possibly making the worst mistake of her life. She tells him not to bother pretending that he ever wanted her there. He tells her that she is part of the deal that he made with Bo. Hope tells him that Bo doesn’t need him or his money or his house. Victor scoffs that he knows exactly why Bo is there but is sure that he will come to see the advantages and life styles that Victor can offer him.

Bo understands the game and drove a hard bargain to be able to provide a better home for his family. Hope surmises that Victor won and it doesn’t really matter what she thinks, that he can manipulate Bo without her to interfere. Victor objects that he has never tried to manipulate Bo and if that means having Hope there then so be it. She says that he merely tolerated her. Victor promises to do everything in his power to make Bo happy, with or without her. Hope smirks that Victor is going to make Bo happy? Like Victor is actually happy?

Hope sees Britta at the hospital and tells Hope that she is safe from Victor. Hope tells her that Victor would never let her go, she realizes that someone made a deal to save Britta. She tries to tell Hope that it was Steve but Hope realizes that he doesn’t have anything Victor wants, but Bo does. After Britt leaves, Roman asks Hope why she is upset. She tells him about the trip to Europe. Roman says Bo takes the cake for stupidity. Hope knows that Bo made a deal with Victor and now she has learned that Britta is part of the deal. Roman wants to know what is going on. Hope says she has already said too much. Roman realizes there is more to Bo’s conversion to being a Kiriakis than just dangling some shiny toys in front of him.

Mrs. H is happy to hear that they are moving out! Hope corrects her that it is just Hope that is moving out, while Bo is on a trip to Europe with Victor. Mrs. H is shocked when Hope confirms that she is leaving Bo. She doesn’t think it was wise to give Bo an ultimatum. She advises her to just wait till Bo returns and then they can talk this out.

She makes an excuse but doesn’t tell him the truth. He gives her and the baby a present, and then pulls out a present for Bo too. He thinks that Bo is probably spoiling her and waiting on her and spending every possible second with her. She gets a worried look on her face which he notices.

The phone rings interrupting them. She says it is agency business and he makes his excuses to leave. She goes back to the phone and tells them she is sorry they have a wrong number. Her dad returns and finds a sad Hope who is having a flashback about her ultimatum to Bo. He asks her to tell him what is really happening with her? He knows that she is living there and Bo isn’t. Hope is upset that he didn’t come home. She tells him that they are even more apart than before. She sadly tells him there is nothing else to talk about. He tells her that he could come home today and they could talk about it face to face. She warns him only if he will give up this thing with Victor. Now she says, even if he did move out of Victor’s that it is too late. He tells her they have stopped and she can get out now if she chooses, she is free to go. She tells him there is nothing out there! She gets out of the car and the limo takes off leaving them stranded. She is going to head off on foot and he tells her they are miles from Salem and there are no phones nearby. He pulls back some bushes and shows her a waiting motorcycle. She refuses to get on the motorcycle with him so he takes off leaving her standing there as she calls after him. He turns around and comes back for her. She gets on but tells him that she is getting off at the first sign of a pay phone, that she just wants to go home. He promises that he will take her home.

He drives away from Salem and she complains that he is going the wrong way. She insists that she is not going on any honeymoon with him. He tells her that he will take her home AFTER their honeymoon. He takes her to a waiting hot air balloon. She is excited and says she has never seen anything more beautiful. She catches herself and goes back to insisting he take her home. He picks her up and puts her into the balloon. She tries to bite him and insists that she will NOT have a good time. He holds her as he starts up the balloon and they begin lift off. She demands that he put this thing down. He tells her no can do.

He tries to get her to admit that she is impressed with his idea. She refuses to admit it. He asks her if she would like to know how long he has had this planned? She says nothing and he shares that he has had this in mind for a long time for their honeymoon. He just asks her to try. He asks her to just admit that she loves him. He lowers the balloon to the ground.

9/9 As they land, Bo notices a rattle snake. He gets out of the balloon. It begins to take off without him and he grabs hold of a rope and hangs on for dear life. He is able to lower the basket and she gets out as the ballon takes off without them! She can’t believe that he has left them stranded on this island. He tells her it is just the two of them for the week on the isolated island. Hope continues to insist it is too late. She wants to go home and insists that she will find some way of the island!

She makes her way to an island mansion and finds a caretaker. She asks him to get her off the island. He tells her the only way off is the supply helicopter due in later that afternoon. The caretaker then informs her that her husband has rented the house and his service for the week. Bo finds her and grabs her and kisses her. She responds for a moment and then pushes him away still insisting they have no future together.

When Hope spots the helicopter, she runs towards it and falls into the pool. Bo helps her to get out and by that time the helicopter has left again. She tells him again it is too late and runs back towards the house. She finds a beautiful dress waiting in her room. She comments, “You never give up Brady.” She goes into the hall and yells to him that he is not going to win this one!

He finds her wearing her new dress standing on the balcony and tells her how gorgeous she looks. He invites her to join him for dinner. He tells her again that he loves her. She tells him that doesn’t matter anymore. He tells her that is the only thing that matters. He knows he hurt her. She says that she doesn’t think she can ever get over it. He promises that they can do something about their future. He tells her that they have to move ahead. He tells her that she has a choice to make, either she wants to have a future with him or she doesn’t. Her answer is to walk out on him and go back to her room, though its obvious he is starting to wear her down.

Alejandro, the care taker, shows up at her door with a tray loaded with food. There is a note from Bo telling her that he loves her and couldn’t have her going to be on an empty stomach. She picks up the pink rose on her tray and seems to have softened as she says, “Oh Bo, what am I going to do with you?”. Meanwhile, in his room, he toasts to her that no matter what she says, they are going to make it through this!

9/10 The next morning, she thanks him for his note and the wonderful meal but continues that it is too late and there is nothing more to be said. He agrees and grabs her and kisses her and she kisses him back! She pulls back and tells him no that this isn’t going to work. She knows he is just trying to tempt her with food, champagne, a romantic setting and trying to seduce her with kisses. He gets on his knees and asks what can he do? Write poetry? Climb mountains? He promises that he will keep her on this island as long as it takes.

This just upsets her as she points out it is still on his terms, what he wants and walks out again. He is puzzled and asks himself what he is doing wrong, clearly surprised that his plan hasn’t worked. Alejandro approaches her and tells her that her transportation is on its way. Bo approaches and tells her that he ordered the helicopter for her and she can leave the island. Now she looks disappointed!

She doesn’t understand why he is letting her go? She snarks now he is giving up. He says he has tried everything, a romantic setting, wined and dined her but nothing is working. He realizes he can’t make her love him if she no longer does. She can’t believe that he thinks she doesn’t love him. She admits that of course she still loves him, can’t he see that. He says if that is true then she isn’t going to get on that helicopter! She says she doesn’t know what comes next. He tells her that they can make it through anything together, even Victor Kiriakis! He tells her it will be hard but they can’t give up. She cries that she is so confused. He is tired of the games and wants to know what she wants. He tells her when she decides what she wants to let him know and he leaves her alone.

Hope finds Bo as the helicopter lands. She asks what he is going to do? He tells her that he will stay on the island for a couple of days. She turns to leave, and he tells her that he is sorry that things didn’t work out. She cries as she tells him that she really does love him but doesn’t know where to go from here. He tells her that he loves her too. She admits that she is scared and she needs him to hold her in his arms and tell her it is going to be okay. He holds her and promises her it will be okay as he says he has waited for this for a long time. She begs him not to let he go. He kisses her as they hold onto each other and make their way back to the house, arm in arm, stopping to kiss along the way. They enjoy the evening on the beach in front of the fire, holding each other.

9/12 Victor suddenly shows up at their island retreat demanding that Bo return to Salem immediately. Bo refuses and gives Victor attitude that he won’t be ordered around or told what to do. Victor demands that Bo put the business first and threatens that he is risking his job. Bo is adamant about spending time with his wife and says he will see if he still has a job when he returns home. After Victor leaves, Hope is thrilled that Bo stood up to Victor! Hope relishes him being out of their lives forever. Bo doesn’t commit to that and says they should avoid talking about Victor.

9/16 Bo & Hope return home, with Bo carrying her over the threshold to their loft. Mrs. H calls and tells them that Marlena has been kidnapped. She doesn’t want to talk about it over the phone and heads right over to fill them in. The good news keeps coming in as Kayla tells Bo that Britta has been shot and she is dead. Bo heads down to the clinic.

Hope finds a very drunk Steve and tries to get some coffee into him. He realizes that she has bad news to tell him, he is heart broken to learn about Britta’s death. When Bo returns home, he tells her it is time to go home to Victor’s. She is shocked and feels this is some sort of a joke. She assumed they would move back to the loft together.

9/18 Bo & Hope wake up in bed together. She gives him another ultimatum. If he walks out on her again, she will never go back and there are no balloons, limos or islands to save them, there marriage will be over. He tells her that he loves her and that is never going to change. As he gets up to leave, he asks her to never forget that no matter what happens.

After Bo leaves, Mrs. H stops by the loft and Hope fills her in. Next she confronts Bo at the mansion and asks why he is choosing to live separately from Hope? He tells her this just they way it has to be and he can’t tell her anymore. Hope calls and asks Bo to come down to the clinic. She tells him there is evidence of a fight and Kayla is missing.

Abe snarks that Steve is their #1 suspect in Britta’s murder. Hope says no way that he is devastated over her death. Frankie comes in and tells them that two cops arrested him. Abe reports that it wasn’t Salem PD. Abe suggests that they were impersonating cops and may have both Kayla and Steve. Bo is worried that Kayla was taken because she was a witness. Bo & Hope talk back at the loft. She asks him to stay. He offers to stay tonight but no more than that. She refuses and tells him it just isn’t enough.

9/23 Hope tells her dad about her separation from Bo. Roman finds Hope and tells her that he needs her help. He got a call from Marlena and she was able to give him some clues as to where she is. He needs Hope to go with her to Maryland and pose looking for a home to rent so they could search for one matching the distinctive description. Unfortunately, Gillian (Shane’s ISA friend) over hears and reports into the kidnappers (another ISA agent) that Roman is hot on their trail.

9/24 Roman & Hope are able to identify the home that Marlena is being held at and they hurry over there. Gillian has once again tipped them off and they move Marlena before Roman & Hope arrive. Marlena drops her wedding ring as a clue and Roman finds it. Marlena gets away from the kidnappers and calls Abe. The ISA guy/kidnapper gives Roman the address of the pay phone that Marlena called Abe from. The fake police guys have taken Marlena hostage again.

9/26 Mr. Brady arrives at the mansion to see his son. He learns that he is separated from Hope and is very disappointed and warns Bo not to blow his marriage.Caroline arrives and is upset to find out Bo & Hope are living apart. Hope & Roman return home to Salem.

Roman and Hope arrive at the loft. When Roman sees Steve there he attacks him, demanding to know where his sister is! Kayla comes in and Steve takes off, with Roman right behind him with gun drawn. Kayla yells after her brother to not shoot Steve. Kayla worries to Hope about what Roman will do to Steve if he catches him. Hope assures her that Roman isn’t going to shoot Steve, just arrest him. Kayla insists she has to go after Steve to protect him, and Hope goes with her. They find Roman and Abe on the docks. Kayla fills them in that her and Steve were kidnapped by the fake cops. Kayla did leave Roman a message at the station that she was okay, a message that he obviously didn’t receive. Hope assures them that no way would Steve hurt Britta, that he loved her.

9/29 Kayla calls Roman and Hope to meet her at the loft. She tells them that Steve took off. Roman is furious with her for letting Steve leave. Steve doesn’t trust the Salem PD not to railroad him for Britta’s murder. Roman is irate as he needs Steve to lead him to who kidnapped him as this could leave him to Marlena! Steve saunters in and assures Roman that he doesn’t know who kidnapped Marlena. He also promises that he didn’t kill Britta. Hope is happy that he didn’t run. Roman says he believes Steve that he didn’t kill Britta, but he still needs to go down to the station with him. Roman shares that Billings, Britta, Gregory are all dead. He thinks they were murdered to keep them quiet and all roads point to Stockholm. He thinks Marlena’s disappearance is linked to Britta and Stockholm. Steve reports that the kidnappers questioned him about Britta and what she might have been looking for. Roman lets Steve go as a sign of trust in return for the information.

9/30 Hope tells Bo that she is going to apply for a legal separation. She is going to have Uncle Mickey draft the document and asks if he will sign it. He refuses and assures her that they can work out their problems. Mr. & Mrs. Brady walk up and they are hopeful that they are reconciling. Hope bursts their bubble and tells them that she is applying for a legal separation. Bo denies this. Hope softly touches Bo’s face and asks him once again to move out of the mansion and she will cancel the papers. Victor enters and watches their exchange with interest. Bo can not concede to her terms and Hope walks away. The press conference gets under way as the current mayor announces his decision to not seek another term. He throws his support behind Doug Williams as the next mayor. Victor then injects that Alex Marshall is running for mayor. Alex looks rather surprised by this turn of events. Victor turns to Bo and asks if he can expect his support for Alex? Bo turns and walks out.
