A Story With LUSH
Written By: Stacey
Summary - This story does not come close to the present lives of Harmony
residents. I did take some of the storylines like Sheridan's flashbacks &
Martin's disappearance. Luis, Sheridan, Hank, and Beth are all in High
School. Ethan is away at boarding school, Theresa is nine yrs. old and Miguel
is six.
Disclaimer - I do not own any of these characters they are owned by Passions
on NBC.
Warning- Some places may contain heavy material. I will begin the paragraph
with a rating to fore warn you. If you are offended I am sorry.

Chapter 5
Luis and Hank were grabbing a bite to eat at the Book Cafe when Sheridan
walked in.
"Sheridan!" Hank greeted her.
Sheridan came over and gave Hank a hug. Luis mumbled something as he walked
past them.
"Ignore him." Hank said when he saw the anger in Sheridan's eyes.
"He doesn't even know me why does he hate me?"
"Dont know must be some macho thing with him." Hank replied guiding
Sheridan to the couch.
"So you dont have exams tomorrow?" Hank asked Sheridan.
"Nope."
"Lucky dog."
"Thus the benefits of transferring to another school."
Luis walked up to the couch
"Hank Im leaving. You need a ride home?"
"No thanks, Im going to stick around for a while."
Luis eyes pierced right at Sheridan. Sheridan didn't back down from his
glare. Luis stormed out of the Cafe.
Lopez-Fitzgerald House
Outside Luis was chopping wood. Luis was chopping so hard and fast he almost
hit his mom with some wood chips.
"Luis!" Pilar shouted after wood flew in front of her face.
"Sorry Mama." Luis said putting the ax down. 'Im just releasing some
anger."
"About Sheridan Crane?"
Luis stared at his mom. "How did you.....?"
"She told me you were giving her a hard time at school."
"Me giving her a hard time. Ha! She's making my life a living hell!"
"Luis calm down."
"Sorry Mama."
"Hijo from what I have heard she hasn't said a word to you, but you have
constantly degraded her."
"She told you that?" Luis asked surprised.
"Yes."
"And you believe her over your own son?"
"Luis...."
"Unbelievable." Luis remarked throwing his hands into the air.
"Luis I know how much you hate the Cranes. It only makes sense that you
would be that mean." Pilar argued. "Plus I have known Sheridan for a long
time. She is like a daughter to me and a very sweet and caring girl."
"I dont think so." Luis grumbled at his mother.
Pilar was deeply concerned she had never seen her son this upset over a Crane
before.
"Son please give Sheridan a chance." Pilar urged. "You might see then
that she is nothing like her family."
Luis ran his hand down his face and sighed. "Alright, Mama." He finally
spoke. "But just for you."
Pilar smiled and and turned to head back into the house to prepare dinner.
Luis sat down on the bench in their back yard. Luis thought about what his
mother had asked him to do. Suddenly he saw Sheridan coming up the driveway.
"Now's my chance." Luis groveled
Sheridan spotted Luis coming towards her. Oh no she screamed to herself. She
slowly walked towards Luis.
"What are you doing here?" Luis asked.
Sheridan shoot an evil glare at him. "That's a nice hello Luis."
"Im not trying to start anything." Luis spoke defensively.
"That's hard to believe." Sheridan chuckled. "Cant I bring flowers to
your mother or is that to wrong of my kind?"
"You said it I didn't.'
"See I knew you couldn't go a minute without insulting the Crane name."
Luis got up in Sheridan's face. "Listen! I didn't say anything offensive you
did that yourself I just agreed."
"You are the biggest jerk I've ever met."
"And your the most spoiled, pigheaded girl I've ever met!"
"You have no right..." Sheridan started to say.
"What.....I have no right. You are the one on my property insulting me.
I think you have no right Ms. Crane."
Sheridan and Luis glared at each other. Beth saw Sheridan and Luis scowling
at each other. Their gazes were so cold it scared Beth.
"Luis! Sheridan!" Beth called out breaking their silence.
Luis didn't take his eyes off Sheridan.
Sheridan saw Beth coming towards them. "Hi Beth." She uttered.
Sheridan looked at her flowers and then at Luis. "Beth?"
"Yes?"
"Will you give these to Pilar seeing as how I am not allowed on Luis
property."
Beth took the flowers from Sheridan. "Sure."
"Thank you."
Sheridan smiled at Luis as if to win this little battle.
"Bye." Sheridan said before turning and strolling away.
Beth saw Luis jaw tightening and untightening. She ran her hand up and down
his back hoping to relieve some of his tension.
"Luis." Beth said hoping to get him to blink.
Luis didn't acknowledge her existence until Sheridan was out of view. What is
wrong with me he thought? This is the first time a women has ever gotten to
me like this. Luis finally exhaled.
"There you are." he heard Beth exclaim.
"What?"
"I thought you were gone for good."
Luis looked at Beth still confused.
"With Sheridan and...." Beth hinted.
"Oh, no no. Sheridan and me just clash that's all."
"Well, maybe you should just avoid talking to her for a while." Beth
suggested.
"I promised Mama I would give Sheridan a chance."
Beth began to feel uneasy about leaving Luis alone during Christmas.
"What's wrong Beth?" Luis asked noticing her uneasiness.
"Luis do you like Sheridan more than your letting on?"
"Beth." Luis said shocked by her question. "I think I speak for both
me and Sheridan when I say this, but we both hate each other."
"Okay Luis." Beth agreed. "But you know there is a thin line between
love and hate."
Luis rolled his eyes at Beth and gave her his famous smile. "You're so cute
when your jealous."
Beth punched Luis lightly in the stomach. "I am not jealous."
"Sure." Luis said laughing. "Come on lets go inside and eat."
Crane Mansion
"Hello! Is anyone home?" Sheridan yelled coming into the Crane Mansion.
Sheridan took off her coat and laid it in a chair near the door.
"Hello?" Sheridan repeated once more.
She walked into the living room hoping to find her brother there. She froze
when she first stepped into the room. She glanced down at her hands.
"Ahhhhhhh!" she screamed when she saw blood on her hands. Sheridan ran out
of the room trying to stop the memories from coming. But it was to late.
Sheridan was hiding behind a curtain with something sharp in her hand. She
saw someone walking towards her. She tightened her grip on the sharp object.
Sheridan gasped for air. She clung to her chest the memory was over. She
stared back into the living room.
"I am never setting foot in there again." She vowed holding on to
herself.
"Sheridan!"
Sheridan spun around and saw Ivy standing behind her.
"Ivy." Sheridan breathed.
Ivy stared at Sheridan curiously she circled her then stopped. "Were you
screaming just a minute ago?"
"Um.... no I didn't why?"
"Hmmmm." Ivy said grazing her fingers across her jaw. "I could've sworn
I heard a scream."
Sheridan ignored Ivy and walked to pick up her coat where she had left it.
"Do you know where Julian is?"
"Your brother left for a business trip a few hours ago." Ivy said
turning to go into the living room.
Sheridan followed but stopped at the entrance to the living room.
Ivy was pouring herself a glass of brandy. "So Sheridan is Luis
Lopez-Fitzgerald still bothering you?"
Sheridan just stood there staring blankly at the floor of the living room.
When Sheridan didn't answer Ivy turned around. "Sheridan, what are you doing?"
"Nothing."
"Well, come into the room sit down this is your home."
Sheridan slightly moved forward than paused.
"Ivy Im tired so Im going to go to bed."
"Alright."
And I think Ill be staying in the cottage from now on to give you and
Julian your privacy."
Ivy laughed. "Dont go to to much trouble for Julian."
Sheridan smiled weakly at her comment.
"Oh, Sheridan."
"Yes?"
"You wont be alone for long. Ethan's coming home for Christmas."
Sheridan started to feel less tense at the mention of her nephews name.
"Great Im looking forward to seeing him."
Cottage
Sheridan threw her coat down on the floor. She walked over to the kitchen and
poured herself a glass of water.
"Maybe I can watch some TV" Sheridan said to herself plopping down on
the sofa. "Where's the TV?" she said looking around."Aghhhh! Julian must have
gotten rid of it."
Sheridan slumped down in the sofa cushions. She pondered what she could do to
help her get those horrible visions out of her head. Sheridan set down her
glass and reached for her pocket book.
"Aha!" she exclaimed. "Hanks phone number."
Sheridan grabbed the phone and dialed Hanks number.
"Hello?"
"Hank this is Sheridan."
"Sheridan! Wow!"
"Hi."
"I am so glad you called."
Sheridan blushed. Hank must really like me she thought. He sure doesn't hide
it.
"So am I." Sheridan replied.
