A Story With LUSH

Summary - This story does not come close to the present lives of Harmony residents. I did take some of the storylines like Sheridan's flashbacks & Martin's disappearance. Luis, Sheridan, Hank, and Beth are all in High School. Ethan is away at boarding school, Theresa is nine yrs. old and Miguel is six.

Chapter 4

Luis and Hank were both in the same History class. Today was the day that their lives would both do a complete 180.

Luis was reading up on his chapters for class when Hank walked in. "Hey, man the bell hasn't even rung yet and you're already starting class in your mind." Hank said sitting down next to Luis.
"Well, I do need to maintain good grades for scholarships."
Hank sighed. "Its your loss."
"Alright class, the bell has rung lets begin class."
Luis watched Hank throwing paper bits into the hair of the person in front of him. Luis found it amazing that little stupid things like that could amuse Hank for hours. Luis saw the principal come into the classroom and walk up to the teacher.
"Excuse me class I will be right back."
After the teacher left with the principal the whole class burst into conversation.
Minutes later the teacher came back into the classroom.
"Class I would like your attention please." The teacher said tapping on the desk.
Suddenly a girl with short blonde hair walked into the room with the principal behind her. Luis was memorized by the girls beauty. Luis snapped out of it when he felt Hank's hand on his arm.
"That's her Luis."
"What?" Luis asked confused.
"That is the girl of my dreams."
"Everybody I would like you to meet Sheridan ......" the teacher had to look at Sheridan's papers again to find her last name.".......Crane."
Luis's eyes glazed over with fury. He couldn't believe a Crane was going to be attending his school.
The teacher looked around the room. "There is a seat right in front of Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald." The teacher said pointing at Luis.
Sheridan gathered her stuff and sat in front of Luis. Luis noticed Hank staring at Sheridan with his jaw dropped. Sheridan must have sensed it too because she turned around to look at Hank. Hank smiled at her. Sheridan weakly smiled back. When the bell rang to end class Sheridan turned around to face Luis.
"Hi, I couldn't help but notice your last name was Lopez-Fitzgerald.
Are you related to Pilar Lopez-Fitzgerald?"
Luis stared at Sheridan. Sheridan felt a shiver go up and down her spine. "I thought you Cranes didn't mingle with us common folks." Luis growled at her not answering her question. Luis got up and left the classroom.
"Dont mind him." Hank said. "He doesn't really like your family."
Sheridan started to pack her stuff up. "He's not the only one."she mumbled.
"So what brings you to Harmony High?"
"I have to finish up school and I refused to stay in Paris." Sheridan answered.
"You went to a school in Paris." Hank stuttered.
"Yeah but it wasn't that great of a school so I told my father to take me out or I would never go back to school."
Hank followed Sheridan down the hallway. They soon came across Luis and Beth.
"Hi Hank." Beth chimed. "Who's your new friend?"
Luis turned to see who was with Hank. He let out a disgusted grunt when he saw it was Sheridan. "Beth I have to go suddenly I dont feel so well."
He kissed Beth good-bye then walked away down the hall.
"I hope he's okay." Beth said watching Luis walk away.
"I dont think anything serious is wrong with him." Sheridan assured Luis.
"How would you know?"
"Hi I am Sheridan......" Sheridan said extending her hand out.
"...... Crane."
Beth shook Sheridan's hand and realized now what she meant.
"I am so sorry that was rude of Luis." Beth apologized.
"That's okay. I deal with people who hate my family a lot."
"So you want to let me take you on a tour of Harmony High?" Hank asked.
"Sure, It was nice meeting you Beth."
"Same here."

Beth found Luis in the gym shooting hoops.
"Luis"
Luis turned and saw Beth. "Where's Hank?"
"Giving the new girl a tour."
Luis squeezed the basketball between his hands. "I know you know who she is."
"Yeah I do."
Luis threw the ball against the gym wall creating a loud bang.
"Luis you need to calm down."
"Calm down." Luis mimicked. "Calm down. How can I calm down when every where I go now there's a f#@king Crane family member running wild?"
"Luis she has a right to this school too."
"Yeah and I have a right to my opinion about her."
"Not if you dont know her."
"Beth I dont want to get to know her. I know her family that's good enough for me. I hope I dont ever get to know her."
Luis left Beth standing in the middle of the gym.
