A Story With LUSH

Summary - This story does not come close to the present lives of Harmony residents. I did take some of the storylines like Sheridan's flashbacks & Martin's disappearance. Luis, Sheridan, Hank, and Beth are all in High School. Ethan is away at boarding school, Theresa is nine yrs. old and Miguel is six.

Chapter 2

When Luis got home he saw that the kitchen light was still on. Luis pulled into the driveway and quietly shut his car door. Luis walked inside and saw his Mom sitting at the kitchen table.
"Luis why are you late?" Pilar asked without looking at him.
"Mama, Im sorry I lost track of time."
"Hijo, you know how I worry about you being out alone in Harmony."
"Yes, Mama."
Luis sat down at the table across from Pilar.
"Son, what is wrong?" she asked placing her hand on top of his.
"What?" Luis asked
"You look like something is bothering you."
"Oh, Mama its nothing." Luis said shrugging.
"Dont lie its not good for you." Pilar told him.
"Its Beth." Luis finally confessed.
"What about Beth?"
"Well, its kind of complicated." Luis informed her leaning back in his chair.
"Try me."
"okay here it goes." Luis began leaning closer to pilar. "She wants to advance our relationship a step further and Im not ready to commit that much."
" You mean you are starting to feel tied down."
"Yes and No."
Luis got up from the table and walked over to the window. Luis stared out into the night sky.
"Yes, because I have so much going on right now I feel like she wants to much from me. And no because I care about her deeply."
"Luis, are you letting your father's disappearance ruin your relationship?"
Luis looked at his mother who was getting up from the table to come towards him.
"Mama." Luis sighed rubbing his eyes. " Please dont bring up father."
Pilar hugged her son. "You know Luis I always believed that you could work things out." She said. "because you listen to your heart and decide what's best for everyone involved."
Luis nodded his head and looked down at the floor.
"are you better now?" Pilar asked lifting his head up to look at him.
"Yes Mama thank you."
" I am going to bed now. Mrs. Crane says I have a long day tomorrow." Luis gritted his teeth. " I cant believe your still working for those Cranes." He growled.
Pilar looked at her son. "Luis you know how much I care about the Crane family and they have been good to me ever since your father left."
"I know Mama. Its just that every time I hear you mention the Cranes I want to explode." Luis said forming his hand into fists.
Pilar rubbed her sons back and kissed him goodnight then went upstairs.
"One day....." vowed Luis, " i will have my revenge on that Crane family. One day."
