A Story With LUSH

Summary - This story does not come close to the present lives of Harmony
residents. I did take some of the storylines like Sheridan's flashbacks &
Martin's disappearance. Luis, Sheridan, Hank, and Beth are all in High
School. Ethan is away at boarding school, Theresa is nine yrs. old and Miguel
is six.

Chapter 10
Luis and Sheridan arrived back at her cottage around 6:30.
"Sorry I had you out so late." Luis apologized putting down her bags.
"Oh that's okay I got some of my own Christmas shopping done anyway."
"So where are you and Hank going tonight?"
"I dont know he just told me to dress comfortably." she answered taking her
bags into the bedroom.
"Luis ..."Sheridan called from her bedroom.
Luis took off his coat and laid it on the chair near the couch."Yeah."
"Can I ask you a question about Beth?" she said walking back into the den.
Luis heart skipped a beat when he heard Beth's name. Why did she have to
bring up her? All Luis wanted to do was win this bet.
"Sure."
"Does she think that I am a threat to her?"
"What do you mean?" Luis asked nervously.
"Well, at the Book Cafe she kept glaring at me like I was her mortal enemy."
she began to explain." And I just dont understand why because you and I.. I
mean we both have no interest in each other, right?"
Luis felt like throwing up."Yeah." he said mad that Sheridan had no feelings
for him.
"So why would she do that?"
"Do what?"Luis asked completely oblivious to everything she was saying.
"Stare at me like that."
"Well, Beth is the jealous type."
"So you think she has that idea about us also?"
"Yes, she even asked me once if I was interested in you."
"Really?"
"Really." Luis answered with a chuckle."But I told her to put it out of her
mind."
"Well you can tell her when she talks to you again that she has nothing to
worry about." Sheridan told him. "Because I wont be putting the moves on you."
"Why?" Luis joked. "What if I put the moves on you?"
Sheridan's eyes widen at his remark not knowing he was joking.
Luis saw the shocked look on Sheridan's face. "Do I scare you Sheridan?" he
asked inching closer to her.
Sheridan moved back away from Luis.
Luis smiled at her. "I am only joking Sheridan calm down."
Sheridan released her tension and forced a smile. She got up from the couch.
"Maybe its time you leave." she said moving past him.
Luis figured he better stop before he ruins any chance he has of winning this
bet.
"Yeah, you do have to get ready for tonight." he pointed out getting up from
the couch.
"Bye."
Luis waved good-bye and left.
Youth Center:
Luis was at the Youth Center helping prepare for the New Year's Eve party.
It was a week before Christmas and Luis wanted to get a head start on the
decorations and some of the kids from the High school were helping.
"Hey Luis!"
Luis turned to see who had shouted his name. It was Hank and he had the
biggest grin on his face.
"Do you want to hear about my big night?"
Luis rolled his eyes and turned his back to Hank. "Not really."

"Come on you know you do.You are just aching to hear about what you're up
against and how tough this bet is going to be for you to win."
"Oh? What happened?"
"Lets just put it this way... we were thisclose to breaking one of the rules
last night."
Luis looked at Hank, he was furious because he hadn't even kissed Sheridan
yet. But, he hid his emotions from Hank."Thats not good for me."
Hank laughed."Do you want to call off the bet?"
Luis stopped what he was doing and eyed Hank. "Why would you want to call off
the bet if you know your going to win?"
"Im just trying to be fair Luis, and I know how tight you are for cash."
"No, Hank always takes money dirty or clean. What's the real reason?"
"Nothing." Hank said with fear in his eyes.
Luis saw the expression on Hanks face and knew he was close to discovering
something.
"Out with it."
"Its nothing."
"Yes, it is out with it."
"All right!" Hank shouted loud enough making some people stare at them. "All
she did for the first part of the date was talk about her day with you."
Luis smiled. "Really?"
"Wipe that cocky ass grin off your face." Hank said angryily."Yes, and what
did you two do to make her like that?"
Luis placed his hand on his chest, raised the other into the air and
replied. "Scouts honor, it must be my irresistible charms."
"Well, I am taking her out again tonight." Hank informed Luis.
"What? No wait it is my turn to take her out."
Hank raised his hands."Who said this was going to be fair?"
Luis was about to protest but stopped and smiled at Hank."Yeah youre right
who said this was a fair bet."
"Right." Hank said."So I hope you enjoy another night alone because I am
taking the most beautiful woman in the world to the Lobster Shack."
"Ah, spending the big bucks."
"Yeah, well its worth it just to see you lose."Hank joked then looked down at
his watch. "I've got to get going have a lot of stuff to get ready for
tonight dont want to screw anything up."
"Bye."
Luis watched his friend exit the Youth Center."Oh dont worry Hank." he said
to himself."You're in for a big surprise tonight. Real big."
