Emotions Part Four: Illusions
Written By: Me (~Carla~)

Luis returned home 2 days early from his training sessions in Washington. He expected to find Sheridan home at 10pm but as he entered the house, he was greeted by lonely darkness.

He switched on the lamp and sank down into a chair. After 15 minutes of sitting and thinking about where she could be he concluded she must be out with friends and went up to bed.

Sheridan smiled brightly and ran to hug the man before her.

"Oh Matt, I`m so glad to see you!" she exclaimed.

"It`s been far too long Sun" Matt smiled and lifted Sheridan up to spin her around before kissing her cheek and setting her on the ground.

Matt and Sheridan sat down on the bench and recalled all the happy times they had shared over the years in Paris. Sheridan also recalled some of the most painful and most pleasent memories of the years in which Matt had been gone from her life.

The conversation drifted to Matt`s life in business and finally to Sheridan life with Luis. She did nothing but smile as she told Matt about their first meeting, New Mexico and the memories of their romance.

The pair soon decided to go back to Sheridans for some hot chocolate.

Matt took a seat on Sheridans couch and waited for her to return with the drinks. He couldn`t wait to meet this Luis, and he knew it would come sooner than Sheridan expected.

"Two hot chocolates with gummie bears just like the old days" stated Sheridan as she reentered the room smiling. She set the drinks down on the livingroom table.

"Sounds great Sun." Matt grinned and pulled Sheidan down onto his lap.

Matt grabbed the drinks from the table and settled onto the couch with Sheridan. They fells asleep, stretched out on the couch, Matt`s arm around Sheridans waist.

Matt grinned wickedly to himself when he heared a loud 'bang' coming from the kitchen. It was time. He gently awoke Sheridan who proceded to go upstairs for the gun kept at home.

She quietly opened the door and gasped when she saw a figure move in the dark.

Luis flicked on a lamp and stared at the wide eyed Sheridan frightenly backed against the door.

"Luis?" Sheridan whispered with trembling voice and stepped a bit closer.

"Yeah, it`s me Sher. Whats wrong? You look like you`ve seen a ghost or worse." Luis crossed the room and gripped her shoulders.

"Ther..Theres someone downstairs"

Luis pulled Sheridan close and kissed her forehead. Luis suddenly pushed her behind him protectivly when a man entered the room. Luis grabbed his gun and aimed at the stranger. The man raised his hands.

"Whoa man..I came to see what was keeping Su..Sheridan"

Sheridan moved from behind Luis to stand between the men.

"Matthew," she said, "This is my husband, my love, Luis. And Luis this is my oldest friend, besides Ethan, Matthew Grey."

Matt and Luis shook hands, not having time to meet properly. Luis directed Sheridan to stay in the bedroom and Matt to follow him. Because Matt said he used to be an investigator and knew about guns, Luis gave him the one from home.

Luis crept down the stairs, silently and staying close to the wall. As he rounded a corner, he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head and the world went black.

As soon as Luis was knocked out Matt smiled and said good-bye to his collegues. He left the house, then Harmony, then the US.

The two men tied up Luis and then went to find Sheridan. She was stretched out on her and Luis' bed. She lay fast asleep with a hand leisurely strune over her stomach in a semi prtective manner.

The two men slipped into the room and injected her with a sedative. They tied her up and took her downstair to an awaiting car.

Luis awoke with a blinding pain in his skull. He immediatley thought of Sheridan. Where was she?

He stood up a bit too fast and gripped the wall for support. He hurried upstairs and search for Sheridan before calling the police.

*---*---*---

Sheridan awoke to darkness and wasn`t sure where she was. Her and Luis' room never got this dark so she knew she wasn`t at home. She began to panic when she couldn`t move. Her arms and legs were tied to a chair.

A figure in grey approached from the side and suddenly Sheridan was out again.

Luis ran from the store to his cruiser. He grabbed for his cell through the open window.

"Hello, Officer Lopez-Fitgerald" he said.

"If you wish to see your love.."

"WHO IS THIS?" Luis interupted frantically.

"Again," the voice finished. "Bring $500,000 to the cover at midnight." 'CLICK'

"Hello? HELLO! Damn it..." Luis slammed the phone shut and threw it into the car. 'The Cover...Hmmm..Lighthouse Cover.' Luis took a deep breath and got into his car.
