Sheridan walked out of the doctors office feeling as though she would collapse any second, the news she had just received was overwhelming. Shee headed across the street and down the block to the Harmony P.D`s Office.

Luis looked up as he heard someone entered. 'Sheridan...' he thought as he looked at her. She was pale and trembling, her ice blue eyes staring at him, amazingly full of joy and fear. Luis stood up and walked to her. As he did Sheridan fainted and Luis caught her just before she hit the floor and lifted her into his arms.

Sam, who saw the whole thing, quickly rushed to open Luis' office door. He pulled out the cot Luis used to rest one during night shifts. "Luis man, what happened?"

"I don`t know Sam," Luis muttered as he lowered Sheridan gently onto the cot, "I don`t know." He kneeled down beside the cot as Same left the room, closing the door behind him.

"Sheridan honey, wake up." Luis softly pleaded to her as he gently touched her cheek.

Sheridans eyes slowly drifted open, their watery deapths lost, as Luis' loveing voice filled her mind. She smiled tenderly and whispered, "Luis...I`m pregnant."

Luis fell back onto the floor in shock, and starred at her while his mind was reeling in the information...'She fainted...thats bad...a baby...I`m gonna be a daddy...but the fainting...no Luis...just be happy!'. Luis made a small sound of disbelief before smileing brightly and lifting Sheridan from the cot onto his lap. He kissed her lips lovingly then leaned down and kissed her stomach.

Still hating the Lopez-Fitzgerald, especially Luis but also Teresa for ruining the Crane-Hotchkiss merger when she married Ethan, Alistair was furious when he found out Sheridan was pregnant. Even after all these years, he still wanted Luis gone and out of the picture.

"Julian..." said the infamous speaker phone.

"Yes Father, what is it?" said Julian from his usual position beside the brandy decanter.

"Didn`t you hear you fool? Sheridan, is pregnant with that filths child!"

"Yes, I have heard Father, I must admit I`m not the least bit fond of Luis, or that pretty little thing Teresa, but Sheridan is happy. We might as well let her be for once."

"What?! Julian, if Sheridan has that mans child half of my estate will be handed over to..to it!"

"Father, they are married! Can`t you just leave it be, for once?"

"No Julian, never"

Sheridan stepped out into the evening twilight and shoved her gloves hands deep into her coat pockets. Snuggling into the warmth, she smiled and walked off towards the park to meet Matthew.
