Sheridan Crane had finished her community service at the Youth Center. She now sat on her couch in the cottage, alone. She was about to watch one of her favorite movies, Pretty Woman. She thought about Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald they used to hate each other, but while working together, they actually became friends. Actually, best friends; they found they could tell each other everything! They spent a LOT of time together, THEY WERE FRIENDS. She was about to start up the movie, when she decided, since they're friends and all, she'd invite him to join her. That's when it hit her. She was starting to fall in love with him. She could never get him outta her head, and she wanted to spend ALL her time with him. She enjoyed his company. BUT She knew she couldn't do anything about this. They had developed such a great friendship. She thought about it more, it would probably ruin it....or what would be worse....finding out he doesn't feel the same way! They talked about EVERYTHING! She EVEN told him about, "That NIGHT". He was so understanding, so compassionate, she trusted him. As she drifted into dreaming about Luis, the phone rang!
"Helloooo..." Sheridan answered the phone in her sweet-telephone voice.
"Hey Sheridan whatcha do'n?" He said Sheridan more like Sherdan quick, she loved when he said it like that.
"I was about to call you to watch Pretty Woman, I love this movie! Wanna come?" She waited hopefully...
"Yeah sure, be there soon! see ya!"
"Buh bye" Click.
15 minutes later he arrived. he brought some of her favorite munchies. She loved that about him too. "Come on in!" She sorta checked him out discreetly.
"What movie we watch'n again?" Luis had forgotten.
"Pretty Woman!! I LOOOOOOOOVE this movie!!"
"Julia Roberts right? yeah, Theresa loves this movie too. Never seen it." He checked her out discreetly. He had also fallen for her. HE was ever so enchanted by her. Everything. BUT, he knew, things would NEVER work. Impossible. He buried his feelings deep inside.
During the romance scene both felt an electricity between them drawing them closer. They felt it they both really felt it.
By the end of the movie she was a total basket case, she kept crying and crying. Luis put his arms around her and started to laugh. As he held her, they both had that, that, you know, that romance, love, soul mates connection. Luis continued to laugh at Sheridan, for he thought she was crying because of the movie..."It's just a MOVIE Sheridan!"
"That's not it Luis." Sheridan was sad.
Luis was starting to get concerned, "Then what is it Sheridan?"
"Well, Luis, it's just that....I know, I mean I KNOW that that would never happen to me."
"Oh Sheridan, don't say that! Of course it will happen, not exactly like THAT, but I mean, hey, you wouldn't become a hooker anyway! So you should be..." Luis joked as he smiled at her.
"Shut up! I'm serious!" Sheridan punched him lightly.
"Hehe, don't worry Sheridan." He kissed her on the cheek. It felt so right for him to be holding her, and he being in his arms. They looked at each other, both knowing what comes next. Just by looking they admitted their feeling through body language. They leaned closer together, and it happened. They kissed a long passionate kiss. They stopped, looked at each other, both not wanting to stop they kept going. Kissing more passionately every second. They kept going, further and further. They kept going, lips to neck, neck to shirts off. She led him to her room, where for their first time, they made love.
Later, he held her, like her favorite scene in Pretty Woman. he lay there, asleep. that's when she whispered, "I love you, you arrogant cop." She smiled and closed her eyes. When his eyes shot open, he smiled and kissed her head.
The next morning Sheridan awoke to an empty bed...
Part 2
Sheridan then turned over to find Luis dressing. His head had slipped through his shirt when she asked, "Luis, where are you going?" Sheridan asked that in a shaky voice.
"I have a morning shift at the police station, but I'd like to take you out tonight for dinner, how 'bout it?" He said it very solemnly. He said it quick like it was nothing.
She was startled and VERY confused, she replied nervous, "Yeah..... sure.....okay....."
Luis smiled a quick smile, you can't even count it like a smile, "Good see ya then!" He kissed her softly and then left.
She sat there lonely, confused and embarrassed. She wasn't sure if they were starting a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship or not. She knew that SHE wanted it. But, in a way she felt she couldn't. She was so confused. She had been falling in love with him, and she thought he was returning it. She was confused. BUT, she knew she had to hide her feelings until she knew for SURE.
That night at dinner, she was very quiet and kept to herself. She looked at Luis, he quietly said, "Sheridan it was a big mistake....it never should have happened...I'm shouldn't have let it happen...." She was hoping he'd NEVER say that. Still she was shocked, and more hurt, deeply hurt. Her heart sort of just exploded and ached so hard. Her eyes welled up, she put her hand over her heart, to keep it from falling apart, "How could you even say something like that?" "It just wouldn't work Sheridan! It was a horrible, mistake, I was wrong. It never should have happened." With that Sheridan dashed out, tears flooding all over. Her heart cracked ached as she ran out of the place, out of his life.
They didn't speak again for 3 weeks. Both their hearts ached in pain. They both knew they needed each other. They both were deeply depressed. Finally, Luis knew he had to tell her what he thought. HE phoned her cottage....no answer. So he called the Cell, it wasn't on...so he called the mansion, Ethan answered. "ETHAN, I NEED TO SPEAK TO SHERIDAN!!!" Ethan stunned replied, "Sorry Luis, Sheridan's at the airport, she's leaving...for good. Her plane leaves in an hour, so..." Luis hung up grabbed his jacket and took off.....
Sheridan stood at the airport, tears streaming down her face, impatiently awaiting her flight. She wanted to leave Harmony ASAP. She couldn't face Luis anymore. She still loved him. How couldn't she? Although he didn't think of her as anything, he didn't want anything to do with her did he? HE SAID WHAT THEY DID WAS A MISTAKE! how could he say that? Those words pierced her heart, pierced it so hard it made her leave town. She was so in love with Luis, she couldn't tell him now....
"SHERIDAN DON'T LEAVE!" Luis grabbed her arm.
"Why?" She said coldly, "I don't mean anything to you anyway!" She pulled away.
"But the thing is Sheridan, I love you!" Luis looked at her sad.
"....and how do you expect me to respond to this?" Sheridan glared at him, yearning to be in his arms. "How about you love me too, because I know you do" Luis looked at her hopeful.
"YOU CAN'T JUST SAY THAT TO SOMEONE..." She snapped back.
"How about this...I love the way your eyes glint when you're mad at me or just confused and want to blame it on me, I love when you laugh your head jolts back, sorta, I love the way your voice gets all low when you're pissed off at me, your hair is always perfect...I love when you are around ME!"
"I can't believe this! Why are you doing this to me?" Sheridan tried not to look at him as her eyes welled up.
"...Because Sheridan, when you figure out you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want it to start A.S.A.P."
Sheridan started to cry as she stared him right into his eyes, "You ALWAYS do that to me Luis!! You always say or do something like that and make me not hate you!!! ...and I hate you Luis, I really do hate you!" She caved in and kissed him. Her heart felt her wonderful, releasing what it wanted, what it yearned for all these weeks!
"I really do love you Sheridan Crane." They kissed more passionately, feeding their hunger of each other’s lips. They kept kissing for a long time, and I mean a long time. They continued to love each other, forever.
