Rogue

Rogue

As a teenager, Rogue discovered a mutant power to copy the memories and powers of whoever she touched. This all began when she got her first kiss from Cody Robbins, at her home in Mississippi. Her kiss absorbed Cody's energy, and left the boy in a coma for three days. Rogue was terrified at what happened, she did not mean anything and certainly did not mean to harm Cody. She then thought to herself and realized that she had became a mutant. Not knowing where to turn, Rogue ran away from everything...she then met a woman named Raven Darkholme who also went by Mystique. Raven raised Rogue as her foster-mother with her lover and partner, Destiny, whom she calls Irene. Mystique told Rogue about her group that she had formed, the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. She tried to persuade Rogue to join, and after a while Rogue gave in. Meeting many foes, Rogue aided Mystique and her newly found family in everyway she could. That was when Rogue met a young woman by the name of Carol Danvers, known better as Ms. Marvel. Using her power, Rogue drained Danvers' powers down. Wanting to let go, Mystique told Rogue to hold on a little longer, in result having Rogue absorb all of Ms. Marvel's memories and powers permanently. Leaving Rogue scared and with her newly added abilities; flight, super-strength, and invulnerability. Confused and scared, Rogue ran away from the woman she once called mother. She ran to the only place she knew she could turn...the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. Not really taking a liking to Rogue since they had battle with her and the Brotherhood before, Rogue still sought to join them for whatever it took. After she joined and became friends with them, she left the X-Men for a short while, only returning to meet one of it's new members, Remy LeBeau, better known as Gambit. After flirting with all the women members of X, Gambit also took a liking to Rogue. Soon after, Rogue learned about Gambit's relationship and love with Belladonna. Rogue's relationship with Gambit sees obstacles. She leaves the X-Men once again, and returns once again, to meet a man who claims to be Magneto. The man's name is Joseph, and appears to be Magneto who had amnesia. Rogue learns more about Gambit's past, and deals with it hardly. Gambit returns from Antarctica where he was left, and Rogue is left in a deadly fight with Magneto, which ends in the death of Joseph. She mourns the death of him, and notes that Gambit is alive! Happily, she meets up with him. After a while, Professor X starts going a bit crazy, and breaks up the X-Men, only leaving them to return soon after.
