Belladonna was a part of the Assasin's Guild, head rivals of the Guild Theives. She met gambit when they were young but were only friends. When they were in thier teens they fell in love. Then one day The Assasin's Guild and the Guild Theives signed a treaty stating that their will be no more fighting between each two gangs. At one belladonna and Gambit were married. Belladonna's brother did not believe in this treaty and challenge Gambit to a match seeing how he married his sister. During this challenge Gambit killed her brother and The two Guilds heard about it. The Guild Theives had to banish Gambit or their treaty would be off. So Gambit was to never to return to New Orleans agian. Belladonna was heart broken and she sent her body gaurd to watch Gambit and Rogue.
