I have tried my best to list all the news in order, beginning with the most recent.- Sarah Michelle Gellar picked up a Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Actress at this year's show.
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer has received the Viewers For Quality Television Founders Award, for a quality show that is not given the recognition it deserves.
- In case anyone is still unclear, Buffy's 5th season will be premiering in the US on the WB Tuesday, September 26th, 2000, despite earlier reports that the premiere date would in fact be October 6th.

- This week's (August 12-18) TV Guide features a small article about & pic of Michelle Trachtenberg.
- Emma Caulfield (Anya) and James Marsters (Spike) are featured in the new Alloy catalog. Sarah Michelle Gellar is on the cover of the September issue of JUMP magazine.
- Once again, all Buffy fans have been let down by the Emmys. The pathetic Academy gave our favorite show just 3 nominations: one for Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series for 'Hush,' one for Outstanding Hairstyling for a Series for 'Beer Bad,' and one for Oustanding Writing in a Drama Series for 'Hush' (Joss Whedon). - 14 year-old Michelle Trachtenberg has been cast in the role of Dawn, a new character for season 5. She will look up to Buffy & may develop a crush on Xander. Go here to read the full story on Entertainment Weekly.

- Buffy received 2 nominations for this year's Television Critics Association Awards. Winners wll be announced during the ceremony July 15.
- Sarah Michelle Gellar won 2 awards at the 2000 MTV Movie Awards: one for Best Female Performance in 'Cruel Intentions,' and the other for Best Kiss, with Selma Blair, also in 'Cruel Intentions.' Go here for some pictures from the awards.
- Buffy has been renewed for 22 episodes next season, & will keep its 8pm 'New Tuesday' time slot, before spin-off Angel, on the WB.
