Cassandra wanted to know more about Sonny Corinthos, and she knew only one way to do that. She would have to enlist the help of her brother. How to do it, she wondered. Taking a trip was not necessarily out of the question for her, but he would be suspicious and ask questions. She hated answering questions, but this was necessary. Just exactly what kind of man had she gotten herself involved with was her ever-present question.
Surely, her brother would not mind helping her out on this one little thing. After all, he was a detective in the police force, and this would not take entirely too much effort. All she needed him to do was warm up the trail a little, and she would take it from there. Sonny’s business dealings, which she was sure were not clean, were not her concern, but his personal life was. She wanted more out of this "relationship" than she allowed him to believe, and in order for that to happen, she needed to know more about his life before her.
She stood in front of the mirror musing about the remembrance of their first meeting. When she saw him, she knew that she had to have him. Her girlfriends teased her and told her there was no way she was getting him. But, she was determined, and by the end of the night, she made a strong foothold in his life. After that, everything was easy. She used her charms, and he used his. She smiled now, those were happy memories, she thought as she untied the top to her bathing suit.
The best thing about being as secluded as they were was that she didn’t have to worry about privacy. She was basically free to do whatever she wanted, including walking naked on the beach, which she did do from time to time. Like she wanted to do now, just perfect absolute freedom, she thought as she walked out onto her balcony. She looked out into the blue expanse of the waters and hugged herself as a sudden breeze chilled her.
Who would have ever thought that she would be living this life? Did she even deserve it? Yes, of course she did. She had been through enough to deserve ten times this much. Life had been rough for her growing up, but now, now things were better. Things were right. She shook her head, no need to think of the past. Also, no time to think on the past. She had to go to Sonny, straighten things out. They had left things terribly this morning.
Quickly finding a robe, she slipped it on and tied it around her waist as she left the room.
She knew she would find him in his office. That was where he usually was this time of day. She knocked and waited to be told to enter. He hated to be surprised; she learned that early enough. "Are you busy?" she asked as she leaned against the closed door after she entered the room.
He looked up at her. Of course he knew that she would be by, but he didn’t expect her this early. He saw that she played with the tie of her robe as she waited for him to answer her. He never met a person that hated to confinements of clothing as she did. "No. Did you want to talk to me?" he asked simply.
She narrowed her eyes at him as she ventured further into the room. "Of course I want to talk to you," she said. "About this morning, it was not my place to pry in your personal affairs before I met you. I realize that I was in error."
This was too easy. She didn’t admit she was wrong. He had not known her all that long, but he knew that she had never said she was wrong, even when she was. "You admit that you were wrong? Now, that is a surprise."
"I knew you would say that," she said flashing him a smile. She shrugged, "There’s always a first time for everything."
"Really," he said. This was not over; he knew that. She was up to something, and he had to find out what that something was. "What are your plans for the remainder of the day?" he asked as he returned his attention to the papers in front of him. Jason was doing a great job of managing everything back in Port Charles.
She smiled as she yanked the tie on the robe. It was time to show that she was sorry and stood by her word. "Nothing. I just thought I’d spend the day with you."

"Edward, hello," Keesha said as she greeted the older man with a hug. "How are you today?"
He smiled as he led her to sit on the couch. "Wonderful, now that you’re here. If you’re here to see AJ, I don’t think that he’s coming by today," he informed her.
She smiled at Edward. He did not cease to hope that she would in fact be in this family one way or another. "No, Edward, I am not here to see him. I was going to drop in on Lois, and I just thought I would come by to say hello. Is Lila here?"
"No," he said frowning slightly. "I’m afraid she’s not. She and Monica went to Wyndam’s. You know she and Emily just got in last night from their trip."
"Oh, they’re back already. I assumed they would be away for a lot longer. At least that was the impression I got from AJ," she told him.
His face lit up. "Really, you got that impression from him, did you? Have you been spending a lot of time with him to get these impressions."
She got up to leave and laughed. "It was nice to see you, Edward, but I think that I should go before you have me saying more to incriminate myself. I’ll see you later," she said exiting through the terrace doors.
She shook her head and smiled as she thought about Edward. Thoughts about Edward led to thoughts about other members of the Quartermaine family. Finally, AJ entered into her thoughts. This mess with Carly was really taking a lot out of him. Why couldn’t he just be stern with her and tell her what he wanted? Shaking her head again, she realized that she couldn’t worry about AJ. He would do what he wanted, and there wasn’t much she could do about it anyway.
She slowed her step and a smile slowly appeared on her features when she recognized the vehicle parked out in front of the gatehouse. She told him that her plans for the day included coming here, but she didn’t think that he would be there when she arrived. Well, another bonus for her, she thought as she finally reached the door and knocked.

"This is not the way I want to start my day," Carly moaned when she saw who stood on the other side of the door. "What do you want now?" she asked wearily as she placed a hand on her stomach.
"You don’t want to see Uncle Luke," she said with a grin as he pushed his way in.
"Sure, come on in." Fanning the smoke in front her face, she grimaced and said, "Put that out. That’s just disgusting you know, and not to mention bad for you, and this baby."
"Oh, yeah, I forgot, you were going to school to be a nurse. What’s this I here about you bothering Barbara," Luke said taking a seat on the couch.
She shoved an ashtray in his face, and he obliged her request. "Thanks," she said before sitting down. "I’ll have you know, I was not bothering Bobbie. I have enough to worry about," she said softly as she rubbed her stomach.
"You know," he said smiling, "that is one lucky kid; he’s going to be a Spencer. That should wash out all the bad genes by you and the Doc."
She sighed. "Why are you here again? Don’t worry about little Miss Bobbie, the woman who gave her own daughter up, and has no idea of who I am. I really don’t care about that right now."
"Yeah, so you’ve said. You have a scheming look on your face," he said peering closely at her. "What are you up to, Caroline, and why do I get the feeling that it isn’t anything good."
She got up suddenly and began to pace about the room. "Don’t even worry about it, okay. This is none of you business."
He shrugged as he stood up, too. "That’s your prerogative. Maybe, just maybe, I could have helped you out. Your loss," he said opening the door. "Just be sure to stay away from Barbara Jean."
"Go to Hell, Luke," she shouted after him and was met by echoing laughter as he walked down the hall. She sighed and plopped back down on the couch and hugged a pillow. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to ask someone like Luke for help. A smile slowly formed on her lips as she thought of the perfect person.

"Hi!" Lois said enthusiastically as she gave the younger woman a hug. "This must be my day for visitors," she said referring to the gentleman seated on the couch across the room. "Although, I somehow get the feeling that is isn’t me that you are coming to see."
"Now, that’s not true," Keesha said laughing. "I did come to see how you were. How is Brook Lynn anyway?" she said giving her a sly smile.
"See!! I knew it," Lois said pointing a long-nailed finger. "Actually," she said looking at her watch, "I think that it is time for her to get up from her nap. We don’t want her to sleep too long during the day, or she thinks that nighttime is playtime. I’ll be right back. You two make nice," she said before leaving.
"I must say that this is a surprise seeing you here," she said smiling.
"Really," he said smiling and gesturing for her to take a seat. "I would have thought that you wouldn’t be too surprised."
"Yeah," she said sitting, "you would think that I wouldn’t be. You know, you stalking me. So, have you met with Robin yet?"
He sighed, and sat back against the cushions on the couch. "Actually no I haven’t. I’m meeting her later. Would that be a problem for you if I met with her?"
She looked at him and was actually surprised that he even asked her that. She had to admit that she didn’t think that a man like him would ask permission, which is what it seemed he was doing now. "No," she said shaking her head. "I don’t mind. It must be something important if she want’s to meet with you."
"See, that wasn’t so hard was it. I promise I won’t get more involved with anything than I have to. It’s just that I don’t want to see Brenda hurt if I can help her."
She nodded and turned away. "I understand," she mumbled. Why couldn’t things just be simple for her? "Ah," she said brightening, "there she is."
"See," Lois said to her small daughter, "I told you it’s you they wanted to see. I told her we had visitors, and she just couldn’t wait to come out and see them."
Smiling, Keesha said, "And we couldn’t wait to see her."
Lois gave Brook-Lynn to Keesha and motioned Jax to join her off to the side. "So, you’re meeting with Robin later?" she asked continuing their discussion from earlier.
Jax nodded as his attention remained on Keesha with the little girl. She was great with children, and it was not hard to imagine her with one of her own. He shook his head; what was he thinking?
"Earth to Jax," Lois said touching his arm. "Don’t tell me that my daughter is your new conquest," she said joking.
Laughing, he answered, "No, maybe in about twenty years, maybe. I was just…just admiring how well she gets along with Keesha."
"I know, she’s great with children." Lois eyed him suspiciously, "Hmmm, interesting."
He finally turned his attention to her. "What’s interesting?"
She shrugged, "Nothing really. Shall we join the ladies," she said smiling and taking his arm again. There was definitely something going on with him that she didn’t know about, but she would know, and soon.
