Why We All Love Lucy

I think there are many reasons why we all love Lucy. She has remained a shining star long after her death. Lucy wasn't just Ricky's/Desi's Lucy she was our Lucy and she continues to stay in our heart. Lucy and Ricky were the perfect ideal picture of a 1950's couple. When I think of I Love Lucy I automatically think of that time period and how it affected the show. Another reason I think we love Lucy is because we can identify with her. We have all gotten into situations and we've all had to come up with schemes to get us out of them no matter how minor they might be. We've all done our share of riduculous things to get what we want. There is a part of Lucy that lives in us all. Lucy and Ricky were the perfect couple. Nothing really terrible ever happened between them. They would have their little spats and arguments but at the end of the day everything was alright, all was forgiven and life was still good. The plot was simple, the acting excellent and the memories we are left with will live on forever.
