| THE MILL |
| Yesteryear-The Mill Eighty years had come and gone, But Joseph Lehman still was glad, To tell about the work he did At Witter’s mill, when just a lad. We listened as he talked about The farmer’s carts filled full of grain, The waterwheel, the flying chaff, The heavy-laden boxcar train. It took awhile to tell his tale, But we were happy just to hear An old man’s joy in labor past: The homespun work of yesteryear. Written by Ruth Witmyer 1-25-05 |
