MY PASSION

Lately, I have been thinking, why do I have this website? Is it because  I enjoy laying out the backgrounds, or writing the stories? Is it because of all the neat interaction items? These things are nice, it draws some to a site, and I enjoy working on them, but this is not what keeps me going.

Is it that people will say ”What a great website; you did a great job!“ That would make me feel good and encourages me when my page hits are low, but no, the nice comments are not where it’s at.

Is it to sell products and make lots of money? No, that’s not it either. I not only don’t make money from my site, but it costs me money.

Is it that I want to make lots of friends and become well known on the web? Friends are nice, but there is little chance of that happening. All these things by themselves would be very empty.

Just what is my passion? What keeps me going? There are scriptures that help to explain how I feel.

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Just one soul is worth more than the whole world.
My motive for this website is to have one person click on it and find true born-again salvation, the salvation that will change his or her whole life by turning them to serve God, and giving them eternal life with Jesus.

“Just one person?“, you may ask. “Many people have a part in seeing hundreds find truth”. Yes, I would love to see hundreds come to the truth because of my website. But let me explain how I feel with this story.

There was  a man walking along a beach after a storm. He saw a older man walking  ahead of him. As the older man was walking, he was picking something up and throwing it into the ocean. When the younger man drew closer, he asked the older man, “What are you doing?” The elder man replied, “I am throwing these starfish back into the sea; they will die lying on the beach. The storm washed them here“. The younger man replied, “ But there are hundreds of starfish all along the beach. What difference does it make if you throw a few back into the water?” The older man picked up a starfish,  threw it into the water, and said,” It makes a difference to that one!”

One person is important when you are that person!

So I just keep watching and waiting for that hungry person to come along who will open his or her eyes to see God’s truth.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

And now you know what my passion is!

“Only one life, t’will soon be passed, only what’s done for Christ will last.”
