Downloading Photos from the Web |
|
|
|
Many websites these days
have photos that you may wish to download for any number of reasons. This brief tutorial will teach you how to. |
|
|
|
A good place to start is
the picture of the mouse in the upper left hand corner of this page. Move your mouse so that it is over the
image and then click the right mouse button once. A menu appears with several choices
available. Select the “Save Picture
As” option by clicking the left mouse button on it. Now a “Save Picture” window appears asking
you where you want to save the image. You
can either create a new folder by clicking the “new folder” button, or select
a destination that already exists, such as “My Pictures” or the desktop. Now left click on the save button and you
are done! |

In surfing the web for
pictures, you may run across images that will not load, signified by a red
“x” in the upper left hand corner of the outline of the image. If this happens, do not panic, right click
in the outline, and select the “Show Picture” option and the problem should
be fixed. Sometimes the image just
will not load and another will have to be found. Some websites have disabled the right click
menu option for legal reasons so users cannot save the images, let alone try
to reload them. For an example, look
at the Squadron.com link below and right click on the image. Click on the Yahoo Images link to search
for images to download. |
