ENSIGN CHRISTIAN FYRE
9 June 2357
Joseph Fyre (deceased)
Denise Fyre (deceased)
Christian isn't too shy. He gets along with everyone he meets. He has high charisma, and likes meeting people. He enjoys conversations with a group of people rather than one on one. He is very well educated and is talented with regard to his work. His interests include engineering and reading, along with putting everything he has into his work.
Christian is all muscle. Very physically fit. He has a small tattoo of a cross on his right calf. He likes to wear his hair spiked.
Christian was born on a ship near Earth, the USS Zauntai. Between the ages of 6 and 13, he moved between different ships with his parents, who were Starfleet officers. He liked the Helm/Ops station, because that's what both his mother and father did. He studied ops until he was 13, when he witnessed a gamma radiation breakdown on the Zauntai.
He watched the engineers do everything they could to save the ship. As he watched he developed the beginnings of a strong interest in engineering. But tragically, the radiation breakdown was fatal. Only he and a couple of his parents' closest friends survived. His parents were killed, leaving him alone except for the few survivors, who acted as godparents and guardians to Christian. Most were helm operators, but there was one engineer, Vincent Nasri, and Christian was closest to him.
He moved to the USS Valcon, where he watched Vincent and grew more interested in engineering. Christian spent a year on the Valcon, and at 14, he decided to formally educate himself. He attended a prestigious engineering school and graduated at age 18. He then went to an engineering university until, at the age of 24, he graduated near the top of his class. He then attended Starfleet Academy, graduating with honors in engineering. He was posted as an assistant engineer on the USS Surak and was eventually promoted to Chief Engineer, then transferred to the USS Odyssey.
On only his second night aboard the Odyssey, in a freakish coincidence, an accident identical to the one that had destroyed the Zauntai occurred. Christian saved the ship and was awarded the Purple Badge of Honor. Afterward, he was transferred to Chief Engineer aboard the USS Orion.
