Trip part I

We started our journey at MQ BP station, filled up tanks and jerrycans and let's go..

Spent a night in Al Quabil resthouse and next day entered Wahiba Sands. So what the Wahiba is?

Wahiba Sands lies in the eastern region of Oman.  The sands stretch from north to south 180 kilometres, east to west 80 kilometres, with high dunes, extensive woodlands and an unspoiled coastline.  Some of the sand dunes are 100 meters in height.  Total land area is approximately 12,000 square kilometres with about 3,000 Bedu of varying tribal origins including Janabah, Mawalik, Hikman, Amr and Wahiba. Our plan was to drive whole day through the Wahiba from North to Souh, stay somewhere for the night and following day reach the coast and go back to the Sur - Ibra road.
