• Background: Michael was born on Bajor to a Starfleet first officer and Bajoran artist during the occupation. Shortly after his younger brother Nasir Kedrick Jiminez was born a year later, it was decided to smuggle the two young boys and mother Larin Kedrick to Earth. In the attempt the boys made it safely, but the mother was captured before making it off the planet. The loss of Larin and Bajoran roots fueled the boys to learn combat skills and join the academy. Only a year from graduation, Nasir, who had always held a more personal grudge, went AWOL and joined the Maquis. A few years later he was captured and now resides in a Starfleet prison. Michael on the other hand completed his Starfleet training with awards for weapons design theory, tactical planning, and ship navigation. His father, Christopher Antonio Jimenez, retired soon after to leave the legacy for his son. He resides in his hometown in Puerto Rico and stays active in the Federation as a civilian.
