Joh Trev'aal was grown "Specimen 0551-B" at the Anholm Genetics and Cybernetics Research Facility on Madran IV, near Dorvan in the Demilitarized Zone. Genetically enhanced with incredible intellect, perfect memory, fast regenerative ability as well as dense muscle and bone tissue, Joh was also equipped with an neural interface, allowing him to access any computer within ten feet of him mentally. He was placed in the AGCRF Accelerated Learning Program one month after birth, and over the next thirteen years excelled in the program, mastering advanced concepts and proving himself unmatched in flying shuttles, fightercraft and small starships.
In 2357 the Facility was discovered by the Cardassians and was promptly destroyed, but Joh and a handful of other children were able to launch the Facility's supply ship, eluding the Cardassians for two weeks in the Badlands. Following their successful escape from the Cardassians, Joh piloted the ship towards Deep Space Nine, requesting asylum from the Federation. While on the way, the ship disappeared, reappearing five years later on Ty'Gokor. The Klingons, who turned him over to the Federation, alone, rescued Joh. No trace was found of the ship, nor of the other children who had escaped the Facility with Joh.
Following this, Joh was admitted to Starfleet Academy in 2362, going immediately to the Accelerated Security Training, but was transferred by his instructor to Accelerated Marine Training after showing a contempt for authority. He graduated at the top of the marine class of 2364.
Following the incident at ****** in 2376, Joh was assigned to lead a squadron of fighters against a Breen Shipyard in the Black Cluster, where they were rumored to be building a Super-Dreadnought. The shipyard and the Super-Dreadnought were destroyed, and not one of the men under Joh's command was lost. Two months later, Joh was arrested for hacking into Memory Alpha and tampering with Level Omega files. He escaped custody and fled to Romulan space, where he became a very successful space pirate for three years before he was betrayed by his second-in-command and arrested by the Romulans. They turned him over to the Federation under charges of Piracy and Terrorism, demanding the death sentence.
Starfleet Command was reluctant to execute Joh, and instead offered him a partial pardon under the condition that he return to active Starfleet duty. The Pardon is as follows:
Pardon Oder #768112B - Stardate 79218.8 Starfleet Command hereby pardons Joh Trev'aal of the charges of Piracy and Terrorism under the following conditions:
In 2379, Joh was transferred to the USS Sentinel as Wing Commander. He served aboard the Sentinel for two months before he, Chiris Mul’a’a’tha and Jack Donnahugh were transferred from the Sentinel. **All information regarding transfer and activities afterwards are classified Level Omega** In 2380, Joh was transferred back to the Sentinel. Physical Appearance: Well tanned with dark brown hair reaching a few inches past his shoulders. That, combined with his height, piercing gray eyes and a well-toned physique gives Joh a rather imposing appearance, leading to him being mistaken often times as a marine when off duty. Has "0551-B" tattooed on the outside middle of his upper arm in dark green, as well as a small red jewel, a faceted oval about half an inch long and half as wide, (the neural interface) just below it. His face, sculpted with hard lines, shows the pain that he has felt over the years, as well as displaying a long, jagged scar that traces his jaw line on the left side of his face. Personality: Joh Trev'aal has a problem with authority. Point taken, he is superior to other humans and knows it, as well as letting them know it too from time to time. Fiery temper that occasionally gets out of hand, but usually is a very social person. Carries himself with an air of confidence, sometimes arrogance. Hobbies: 20th century literature and music. Writing holoprograms. Debating Quasispace Theory with Science people. Finding loopholes in anything. Inventing odd gadgets. Skills: Joh is a level 7 Computer Expert, able to get into and out of almost any computer system of any security level without being discovered. His skills as a pilot are unmatched by almost anyone but a certain ex-drone diplomat on an Akira-class ship.... Has one published holonovel: Anholm: Terror of the Mind, published in 2375 about his experiences at Anholm. Personal Hero: Joh's personal hero was Captian John Harriman, captain of the Enterprise-B. He relates too having a terrible burner to bear, but still succeeding at what he must do.
