Cold and calculating to many, The "Warrior Emperor" Kuruma McCloud is a battle-hardened veteran and a master of tactics who takes no joy or sorrow out of his work, rather only allows logic to guide him, Kuruma's method of operation in battle is most characterized by the cold, brutal efficiency one would expect of a purely mechanical being, rather than a living, sentient being. He enters every battle with neither bloodlust nor fear, but with a scientist's approach to solving a problem. The problem is always the same:
How can he use his abilities to most effectively eliminate the greatest number of his enemies? All too often he finds the answer.... with normally fatal results of his opponent.
Kuruma McCloud's background is mostly mysterious and withheld from Starfleet Records, yet it is known that he is the offspring of a last members of a race. At the age of 3, his mother was killed before his eyes, yet was then found by a wandering Martial Arts Master and raised in the countryside of his world, becoming a wanderer, his style is known only as Saikyuu-ryuu. After many years, he had become Master of the art, and then looking for a purpose to life, became a Mercenary, the life after that time is mostly obscure yet it is known that he married to a woman known as Karena and fathered two young children, Iris and Mikado, yet almost 12 years after this, his wife was killed by a entity known as Vonotar, and Kuruma in a blind rage went after the man, and slew him, the occurence after this is vague, yet it is known that he emerged later in the Delta Quadrant and continuing his life as Mercenary, steadily forming a crew, however at the start of the Domi nion War, McCloud and his ship were pulled into a wormhole that lead to Chintoka, a contested system during the war, there he was attacked by a Jem'Hadar dreadnaught, even though he managed to survive, he had lost his crew and then spent a year within a Jem'Hadar POW camp, before he was liberated by a party lead by one Lucas Ausems. Subsequently the skill of Kuruma in regards to combat and leadership were put to use in the Dominion War as he became Tactical Advisor to one Admiral Harrison, Vice-Commander of the Federation 7th Fleet
However, the partnership was not under the best of terms, for Kuruma and Harrison were constantly at each other's throats, the ultimate 'slap in the face' for Harrison came when Kuruma, dissatisfied with Harrison's 'foolish and wasteful' methods, as he put it, literally spat him in the face before leaving on the eve of an attack on a vital Jem'Hadar system, Harrison choosing to ignore the Sanjiyan's plan, moved on with his idea, with devast ating results. It was this, merged with Kuruma 'desertion' that made him an enemy of Harrison.
A year after this, Kuruma McCloud came to the U.S.S Centauris, where he served for many years, eventually becoming the Strategic Operations Officer on the vessel, living through several adventures and enemies including dealings with his home Empire, the dreaded 'Dark' Imperium, the Nat'oth Empire and even the relentless Atari. However when the U.S.S Centauris was due to complete it's mission of exploration, Kuruma retired from Starfleet, and returned to his homeworld with his family and newfound lover Dinah Forcade, where he spent many years in peaceful, but not before he learnt of a Dark Imperium threat to the Milky Way Galaxy, particularly the Federation. Fearing the worst, he boarded a shuttle and headed to Federation territory, once more returning to a place he had once sworn he would never return to, Starfleet.
