Mission recap:
After the failed mission to Omicron Four, the USS Bloembergen returns to Starbase 808. Lt. Commander Klaang is removed from command of the USS Bloembergen and reduced in rank and subsequently returned to the
Klingon Empire. During a short and hurried shoreleave, Captain Bane returned from his
honeymoon with his new wife ,Ship's Councilor, Suzette Marrion-Bane to receive new orders. The USS Bloembergen is to transport Federation
Ambassador Karen Costin from Menden Prime to a critical conference on Tau Ceti IV, to work on a non aggression pact with the Teldaks. The ship recalls all personnel and is joined by a section of Marines and
an inadvertent civilian passenger, Barraq, a Ferengi.
After departing SB 808, the Bloembergen received a distress call from a freighter. A change of course is ordered as they respond to the hail. Shortly after arriving at the location, the freighter exploded
enveloping the USS Bloembergen in the blast. All main systems are knocked off line with many injuries thoughout the ship. The crew begins emergency repairs. A multideck explosion rips through the ship
causing more damage and killing Chief Science Officer Lt. Rachael Grey. Captain Bane orders the Waverider, the Marines shuttle, to deploy and use it's sensors to sweep the area for the now blind Bloembergen. The
results show that they are close to the location of the explosion, but somehow they are now 22 years in the future. The Bloembergen's first contact in their new time is the Federation vessel USS Budinyak
commanded by Adm. Kirby Pereria.

Mission recap:
The USS Bloembergen crew enjoys an extended stay at Starbase 808, with several members taking full advantage of the facilities the base has to offer, most notably Mr. Pereira using the holodecks to further refine his marksmanship with a phaser, Lieutenant Durek using his keen Ferengi sense to buy and sell for profit (usually at the expense of Lieutenant Steel and his fiance, Amanda), and Captain Bane and Counsellor Marriott in getting married.
Just before the marriage, Captain Bane is called in to a meeting and is questioned by a Mr. Olivet about Bane's actions several years prior at Carthage Colony. Captain Bane stuck to his guns and convinced Mr. Olivert that his actions that day were justified. Bane seemed to convince Mr. Olivert, if only tentatively. Bane is sure he will see the man again.
Bane and Suzette are finally married, after several years of courtship, in a beautiful wedding, and gives up command of the Starship Bloembergen to now-Captain Klaang so he and his new bride can spend an enjoyable honeymoon together.
Just before the starship heads off to mount a rescue operation, Captain Klaang is contacted by Vice Admiral Reynolds and is informed several key officers, including the ships Chief Tactical Officer, Chief Helmsman and a Cadet on his midshipmans cruise, are to depart before the ship gets underweigh.
Currently, the USS Bloembergen is about ready to depart Starbase 808.

WOW! A stellar month considering we had a two-week that carried over from December. Most everyone did a great job keeping the storyline active and interesting, and that rocks big-time!
Unfortunaltey, there are a few that are falling behind, and they are marked with an asterisk ( * ) by the post number. If the person is still with us, I challenge all of us to help these people get their posting numbers up. The rotten thing is if we cannot do it as a team, then these precious players will have to be removed from the sim to allow for players that will post on a more frequent basis to occupy the slot. I dont want to see this happen, so lets pull together and help everyone out!
JP's continue to be exceedingly strong, and the more we do, the better our numbers!
Regards,
Captain Bane Plase

Mission recap:
The USS Bloembergen is redeployed to investigate a strange anomaly near the Caldak system. Upon arrival, the crew begin a standard investigation of the strange event. Shortly after beginning the investigation, a ship, severely beaten, comes out of the anomaly, along with a smaller but obviously more powerful ship. Captain Bane orders the vessel to stand down and identify itself. Promptly, the strange vessel attacks the Bloembergen. After a very short but intense battle, the Bloembergen is the victor, but not without minor damage. The strange vessel slips back into the anomaly, which quickly disappates. The crew quickly deduce the strange events happening across the Alpha and Beta Quadrants were related to this anomaly.
Shortly after the ship disappears, Captain Bane orders the ship to come along side the wounded vessel which appeared first. Almost at the same time, a strange virus apparently brought up from Bajor during the ships layover at Deep Space Nine has begun to overtake the crew, first with a Crewman falling victim and dying, following shortly thereafter by the ships XO, Lieutenant Commander Sanehouse. Not long after Bane finds out about Commander Sanehouse, Lieutenant Pereira falls victim, as well as the ships Chief Medical Officer, Doctor Varik. The status of these two officers are still undetermined.
Meanwhile, aboard Starbase 808, recently arrived Lieutenants jg Durek and Donaghy meet up with a foreign exchange officer, Lieutenant Commander Klaang, to work on a project Starfleet Command has commissioned Commander Klaang on: a shuttle which has the ability to cloak.

Mission recap:
After a mostly uneventful R&R at Deep Space Nine, the USS Bloembergen departs to explore the unexplored. After several days at warp, the Bloembergen picks up on a previously unexplored and uncharted solar system. The ship goes in and begins a standard charting course, but is suddenly called away to investigate some strange readings near the Caldik system near Trill, ordered by Fleet Admiral St. James herself. En route, the Bloembergen is contacted again by the Fleet Admiral, this time a recording to all Federation ships and stations. Apparently, a new race, referring to themselves as the Markann Technocracy, has opened hostile talks with the Federation. Lieutenant Commander Sanehouse links the new disturbance in the Caldik system to this new and hostile race. Currently, the Bloembergen is still at high warp heading for the Caldik system to investigate.

Mission recap:
Following the end of the incident involving the Ferengi Marauder and one angsty Damon, the Bloembergen finally made her way to Deep Space Nine where she was supposed to be in the first place. However, shortly before docking, the warp nacelles mysteriously fail.
While docked at Deep Space Nine, Sanehouse and Greystone work on fixing the ship while Bane was gallavanting around DS9 (and had an "important"
meeting with Colonel Kira).
Greystone proposed an idea of modifying one of the shuttles with slipstream technology and consequently rename the shuttle USS S.H.S. Sanehouse caught Greystone in the Holodeck messing around with
holographic shuttles while the Bloembergen was falling apart around them, so he dragged Greystone away to fix the shipboard systems.
Greystone and Grey meet at DS9 and Greystone, trying to show off, offers to take the Bloembergen's new Chief Science Officer for a joyride through the Wormhole. The ride ends in disaster, killing one
crewmember, seriously injuring Grey, and consequently Greystone is confined to quarters. His punishments were severe. No less than seven days off of duty with Sanehouse taking over in his department for that duration of time. A reprimand was also placed.
The Bloembergen gets a Vulcan Exchange Officer.

Mission recap:
The USS Bloembergen is a fairly new ship launched by Starfleet under the command of recently-promoted officer Commander Bane Plase, and seconed by Lieutenant Commander Ymadas Sanehouse. As with all new
ships, a maiden voyage is in order. While en route to their destination during the maiden voyage, the ship picks up a distress signal coming from a nearby sector.
Upon arriving at the source of the distress signal, the crew of the Bloembergen discovers that a
Ferengi Marauder is behind the call for help. Knowing the history of deceit between the Ferengi and the Federation, Lieutenant Commander Sanehouse proposes an idea to send over a minimal away part: Him and
the Chief Tactical Officer, Ensign Pereira. Upon arriving on the Ferengi ship, the Ferengi did indeed deceive them by capturing the Bloembergen away team and raising shields to prevent beam-out, then
immediately followed the event with firing on the Bloembergen.
Meanwhile, on the Ferengi ship, Lieutenant Commander Sanehouse and Ensign Pereira conceive a plan to escape holding. Now they are loose on the Ferengi ship and using every means at their disposal to find
a way off the Marauder.
