Biographical Data
History
Klaang was born to the imperial officer Semalac and the mistress Keh'Meg. Klaang grew a deep relationship with his brothers and his father. The brothers were all put into the Hegh'Ta academy and from then on all served careers in the KDF, rarely seeing their parents and each advancing their career.
Klaang quickly surpassed through the ranks of the KDF and found himself as a Lieutenant aboard the 2nd fleet flag ship; IKS Sicheng. This is where Klaang realized his true skills were in engineering and science - he was assigned as the chief engineer and met General Kaldar. Kaldar had requested that Klaang be assigned to the Klingon research and development corps when Klaang developed a new cloaking frequency for a klingon shuttle - the prototype worked slightly but Klaang was still accepted into the research and development corps.
A Vulcan by the name of T'Kel who was on loan to the Klingon empire to assist Qo'noS with new methods in clearing up the pollution from Praxis. The pair shared an evening of passion under the influence of drink and a few weeks later T'Kel announced she was pregnant with his child. Both the Klingon's and Vulcan's could never truly accept this child and so Klaang disowned the child and T'Kel returned to Vulcan - Klaang never truly saw his son again.
After a term of office within the research and development corps Klaang had been recommended to be promoted to Captain, with this promotion came a new ship; the IKS T'Ong. A scandal (which is classified) hit Klaang which meant he'd been demoted to Lieutenant Commander and assigned to command a station on the edge of Klingon space. The empire needed candidates for exchange programs with the Federation - Klaang was one of these candidates and therefore was assigned as the XO aboard the USS Bloembergen.Health Report
Apart from a phaser blast to his chest, Klaang is in impeccable health. When he is panicked he may find it harder to breath due to his chest injury.
