PLEASE NOTE: If The Following Regulations Are Not Met Fully, Disciplinary Actions Or An Immediate Ban/Dismissal From The Simm May Follow. The Game-Master Reserves The Right To Modify The Following Rules At Any Time, When He Sees Fit To Do So.

Like any other Simm in the Star Trek world, the USS Banquo has a set of regulations that it follows to ensure that the game-play environment is a fun, friendly and appealing one for all involved. They aren't strict rules, but they most definitely are fair. If you would like to discuss anything to do with the rules please contact the Captain at your earliest convenience.

The Simmer may play as any species from the Star Trek Universe (no Star Wars, Babylon 5, Farscape species etc.) But not as any super-human Star Trek species (no Jem'Hadar, Q , Ex-Borg, etc.) No superpowers, for instance you will not have a character who has control over the Elements. Much like 'Storm' from the X-Men. Refrain from having androids and such, it is not fair to the other simmers, having a character that knows everything, it dulls it out. Let's keep things equal. That's what Trek is all about!

No character name can already be in use in the world of fiction, be it literary, film, or television. For example, there is already a "Pooh Bear" from the popular juvenile literature; an "Anakin Skywalker" from the "Star Wars" movies; and a "Homer Simpson" from "The Simpsons" television program. Therefore, there can be no Pooh Bear, Anakin Skywalker, or Homer Simpson onboard the ship. However, you could have an Anakin Bear or Homer Skywalker if you wanted. Also, your character cannot be related to anyone from the known Star Trek universe, unless you have a really good explanation for it.

You cannot have more than one character aboard the USS Banquo. It would be unfair on others if this were possible.

Personal attacks, slander and name-calling will not be tolerated here on the USS Banquo. Doing so will result in instant dismissal from the game.

Rude and inappropriate comments, in and out of the game is also intolerable and will result in instant dismissal from the game. Please remember that this is a PG-15 Simm, so please don't risk it by posting something inappropriate.

If you require a Leave Of Absence (LOA) from the game, please request one from the Commanding Officer. He will be more than happy to allow you as much time off as you require. If you go MIA (Missing In Action) for 15 days, you will be warned of your impending deletion from the game if you do not post. If you do not post within 5 days of the warning, your will be permanently removed from the Banquo. So please make sure to request LOAs if you need one, otherwise we won't know if you have any intention to come back and play with us!

You need to post at least once a week. If you do not, you will be placed on LOA. If you do not post within 15 days, (see 2-C).

Posts may not contain any sexually explicit content. Romantic scenes, and kisses are fine but nothing beyond that. Or you will face a lengthy ban.

Players cannot destroy the USS Banquo or kill off another player's character without the CO's permission. Players are permitted to kill non-player characters and destroy non-player ships.
3-D Players are not to start or end a mission for their ship without the CO's permission. Writing a mission and posting a "Genesis Post" are greatly encouraged. Ask the Captain for more information and for permission.
3-E A character cannot post twice in a row in less than 24 hours. If done so, it will only be counted as 1 post, with multiple parts. a, b, c, etc.
3-F Your post needs to be a minimum of 150 words. Usually this is easy to achieve. If your post does not reach 150 words the Captain will ether void your post or offer you a repost. (repost= rewrite your post to fit into the story better or to get the required word amount) Or if he is a generous mood, he will let the post stand. But rest assured, this will not be a common occurrence.
3-G This is probably the most important rule of them all... Have fun! Star Trek is about discovering new things and going to the edge of our imaginations. Don't get bogged down with technicalities, be creative and have fun!
