My name is Teri Tregoning. I graduated from Southeastern Illinois College in 1977 with an AAS in Child Care and Guidance, went on to Southern Illinois University and got a BS in Speech Pathology and Audio logy. I began another BS degree with UOP in Feb 2001 in Information Technology and as so often happens my goals changed and I decided to pursue a MA in Adult Education and Distance Learning. Oddly enough my sister in law has just graduated from this program.
After college I went to work for retail companies, Carson,Pirie,Scott , Spiegel Catalog in customer service. Then moved into business-to-business sales selling all sorts of consumer products. Then in 1998 I began sales in the telecommunications field, mainly ISDN and DSL, for then Bell Atlantic and in 2000 for Cavalier telephone. I really enjoy the technology field it moves fast and is ever changing. I am currently a substitute teacher for our school district, mostly Jr high. I really do enjoy it.
As I stated before my goals have changed. My goal for this program is to learn how to work with adults in a business setting, training, mentoring and developing programs.
I am married and live in Virginia. My husband is active duty Navy and I was an Ombudsman for his ship. We have 3 children, boys 29 and 23, and 1 daughter 19 and 1 granddaughter, 2 years and a 1 year old grandson. Our home state is Illinois. My sons and wives and my grandchildren have moved back to Illinois and Indiana, so I don't get to see them much right now. Grandma was not to happy about this moving but I feel better knowing they will be a little safer in the Midwest. I never realized how busy my life was till I stopped working fulltime for someone else! I have returned to the full time work force and am working with a company that provides customer service for many different clients. I am planning on moving into the training division as soon as I can.
My hobbies are reading, I'm a power reader and never get rid of a book, I also on occasion breed miniature Dachshunds and Siberian Huskies, we have 4 dogs currently. We are movie fans, anything Sci-fi but also collect military theme movies, we also enjoy world and US history.
