 Research Abroad seeks to provide the chance for university students to broaden their horizons through combining degree-level learning with travelling and adventure, whilst enabling the ability to gain accreditation towards their degrees. It is the philosophy of Research Abroad to encourage a global approach to geographical, geopolitical and sociological issues, maintaining the equilibrium between the degree of life experience gained (of other cultures & landscapes) and academic skills developed. This is achieved through collaborating the interests and experiences of UK and foreign universities in order to provide diversity at our offered locations and a variety of academic research study areas. All of this whilst participating in the exciting adventure activities on offer!
Not only do the Research Abroad team encourage the development of individual and collaborated research and improvement of in-the-field academic skills, we aim to provide experience in the more adventurous aspects of travelling from the relaxed levels of beach and lake trips, to the more energetic and physically demanding realms of rock-climbing, bridge-jumping, mountaineering, camping and much more.
