Flat Stanley on top of the Japanese world!

Here's a picture on top of my office building in Yokohama. The Yokohama Bay Bridge you see the TWICE as long as any bridge in the USA.

The Yokohama Bay Bridge about a half mile long (2,822 feet). This means you could put about 16 bridges the size of the North Michigan Avenue Bridge( 174.5 feet) end-to-end along of the Yokohama Bay Bridge.

Near my office is Landmark Tower. It's Japan's tallest building at 70 stories, 927 feet.

The Sears Tower in Chicago, which my father helped design, is 110 stories tall or 1,450 feet.

Stanley's hand is pointing to my office building where we took the first picture on the top.

Culture Day! Japan's

Today is a national holiday in Japan called, "Culture Day."
Everyone is supposed to go out and do "cultural" things like go to concerts and art shows.

Flat Stanley went to a big fall flower show.

Here is my wife Masami with Stanely in front of the monster-size mums.

Then Stanley met a bunch of laughing girls in kimono, Japanese robes.
They were at the flower show to help guide the crowds of people. The sweat headbands they are wearing means they going to work hard.

Flat Stanley votes for president!

Last week Flat Stanley helped me vote in the election. Here's Stanley going into the Yokohama Post Office to mail my ballot.

Then Stan helped me with filling out all the forms and stand in line.

Finally, here's the Japanese postlady and Stanely mailing my ballot to USA for the election. It was fun!

Japanese Halloween for Stanley
Here is Stanley's Halloween costume. He is the Headless Horseman from "Sleepy Hollow."

He's pretty scarey, isn't he?

Stanely is in the park next to Christina's cousin Cal's house. Cal and Stanley are walking to the Japanese graveyard for Halloween night. Scarey.

Flat Stanley is Jazzy!

Stanley has arrived in Japan. Here he is in Tokyo in front of a jazz nightclub.

Stanley is confused by the signs because everything is written in Japanese.

Never fear, Christina's cousin Cal knows everything about Japanese. Cal and Stanley had a fun time listening to music after Cal finished work Friday night.
