Episode Summary:

A Klingon ship carrying information about the shape-shifting Sulibans is shot down and crashes in an Oklahoma cornfield. The Suliban give chase, but the Klingon manages to kill his pursuers before getting shot by a farmer.

Captain Jonathan Archer and crew set out to transport the Klingon to the homeworld, but on the way they are invaded by more Suliban, who kidnap the Klingon. As Archer and his crew try to find the Klingon, they learn that the Suliban are trying to instigate a Klingon civil war by demand of a villian from the future. In exchange for this deed, the villian is teaching the Suliban how to enhance their DNA.

Meanwhile, T'Pol and Archer are at odds as T'Pol thinks that Archer should have returned to Earth the minute the Klingon was captured by the Suliban.

"Broken Bow" Review
I know a few of you were disappointed about me waiting so long to post my review. I have been going through final exams tonight as well as work all week long my fault. I'm also building my character pages as well. I'm doing episode snaps and I should have those completed by this weekend.

On to my review

The flashback sequence was interesting. Were introduced to Captain Archer when he was a boy. His father is introduced. He's working on building a cool remote control space ship

After this scene, we cut to 30 years later, and a Klingon is running through a cornfield, being chased by two figures in red. It's difficult to get a clear picture of them at first. The Klingon comes to a grain silo and goes inside, the pursuers hot on his trail. When they've caught up with him, one of the pursuers scurries under the door by flattening his head and body in order to squeeze under the crack. Meanwhile, the Klingon is jumping out the door above and heads off through the cornfield again. Unfortunately for him, a farmer has spotted the commotion and has a plasma rifle pointed at him. The Klingon and the farmer try to communicate but to no avail. The Klingon appears agitated, and the farmer shoots him.

OPENING CREDITS.

First of all, let me get out of the way the three things I did not like.

One: The theme song. You know, I want to slap the idiot who decided on this ridiculous theme song. It was so lame. I can't understand why they chose it. Personally I would have chosen "Where ever you go." or what ever the song that they used in the early promos.

Two:  No red alert. Why didn't Archer call for Red alert during the attack with the Sulbian? Maybe I'm being picky but I always thought you call red alert when you go into battle

Three: T'Pol's attitude. Was she always born with a silver spoon up her ass?

SO WHAT IMPRESSED CORDELL ABOUT THE PILOT?

One: Tucker and T'Pol. Have you ever herd of Opposites attracting? I see a romantic angle for them down the road and if a staff member of the show is reading this review I hope you explore this. This could work.

Two: Captain Archer. He's my new hero. Anyone who can curse the way he does and command so much respect from the men. Archer is going to be a character to watch.

Three: Future Guy. I'm willing to lay down money that Future Guy will turn out to be Captain Braxton. Just watch. I won't say anything else

Four:  The cool Phase pistols. They were the coolest weapons I've ever seen. I also like the new communicators that the crew received.

Five: No shields. The first ever star trek battle with no shields. And the Enterprise can travel inside a planet. How cool. Ok so Voyager could do it to but at least we knew where they got the idea from.

I really liked Caretaker when Voyager premiered. It was a good beginning for the last trek series set in the 24th century. Now, we have a brand new series with a new beginning. Enterprise has much potential and I can't wait to see next week's episode. Over all review
