Take a bus going to San Pablo Quezon. Then hire a jeep that will take you to Kinabuhayan Dolores Quezon. There are many trails leading to the summit but the Kinabuhayan - Crystalino trail is frequently used by mountaineers.
MT. BANAHAW famous for its healing powers and ethereal environment is the traditional mountain to climb during induction of applicants of MITMC. It is also home to numerous cults like Rizalistas, those who worship national hero Jose Rizal. During Holy Week season people especially faith healers gather medicinal plants and try to test the powers of their amulets or agimats. This mountain has an enchanting aura and its like your in an another dimension. Few of our members has seen spirits or nature elementals during some of our climbs there. They see or sense something or someone pass by behind them but when they turn around there is nothing.
All you can feel is your hair on your neck standing. some get lost there because some say the spirits are playing with them. There is a serious garbage problem on the mountain. garbage are left there by pilgrims and irresponsible hikers. So when you climb there please take any garbage you see. Also avoid climbing the mountain during the Holy Week because many pilgrims go up there and there is not much space in the campsite at the peak.
