Bev and I just recently went on a three-week holiday driving up to the gold coast Qld. We had a terrific time. Our first major stop was Sydney where we stayed with some Friends the highlight of this leg of the trip was Homebush where Olympics 2000 will be held |

We toured in a bus around ten Olympic sights. Then we did a tour of Stadium Australia where the Opening ceremony will be held. It was terrific, learning heaps on the way. |
||

|
Just a bit of trivia, the round walk ways at each end of the stadium can evacuate 80,000 people in 20 minutes, and ambulances can drive right up to level 6. |
||

While in Sydney we went on a harbour cruise which was lovely the weather stayed fine for us, that day we visited the Star Casino any no we didn't loose any money. The highlight there was having my picture taken with a dolphin. I thought it was great, as I am dolphin crazy.

Our next stay was eight days at Burleigh Heads just south of the Gold Coast. We stayed at the Southern Cross Luxury Apartments, on the 5th Floor. We would open up the curtains of a morning and look out to this scenery below, just magnificent. |

While we
were at Burleigh we visited Sea World where we saw many dolphins. It was
magic.

After Burleigh visiting the sights and some long lost friends we travelled To Port Mc Quarrie and stayed a couple of days with a friend, also catching up with friends and going on a lovely boat cruise. We then travelled to Merimbula for four days where I fished and fished, I only caught a couple of small mullet and a glimps of dolphins in the wild, it was wonderful. Lakes Entrance was the Last stop where you guessed I went fishing. Didn't catch anything that day but any way all up it was a lovely holiday but there is nothing like home sweet home. |
