MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY

This author was born on October 26, 1957 to a poor farming couple, Aurelio de Vera and Rosalinda Mariano de Vera. He is the second child among a brood of seven. At a very young age, he had  engaged in farming by helping his parents till the rice field. Due to extreme poverty, his parents struggled to send him to elementary school but cannot send him to secondary school anymore which forced him to stop going to school. However, he was given hope when a kind aunt Julieta de Leon, saw this author's potential and took him in her care with her family. He worked, nonetheless, as a newspaper boy  to help support his daily expenses .

He was also able to go to college and took up Electrical Engineering. However, he believed this was not his calling. He decided to take the Philippine Military Academy's Entrance Examination, one of the most prestigious military schools in Asia, in 1977. Fortunately, he passed and this has forever changed the course of his life.
