Dr. Ivo Robotnik, aka Dr. Eggman, was a brilliant but demented scientist in Earth's 20th and 21st centuries - in an alternate reality visited by Emperor Kiran Joshmaul I. With an IQ that makes Mensa look like preschool, Robotnik was an extremely inventive person. Unfortunately, his inventions often required enslaved animals to power and/or build them. An example of this is the Death Egg - a massive space station built in his own image. His plans for world domination were foiled time and again by a blue hedgehog named Sonic, who fought against the doctor's evil rule. In the early parts of the 21st century the doctor established the "Eggman Empire" with the help of the so-called ultimate life form, developed by the doctor's grandfather. He and his arch-rival Sonic joined forces in the end to prevent world destruction. The fate of Ivo Robotnik after that point remains uncertain, though it is rumored he renewed his plans for global dominance.
The first ruler of the Reydovan people, Emperor Kiran Joshmaul I was one of the most sick and twisted men in the known universe. Though he possessed advanced hyperintelligence because of his genetic engineering, Joshmaul was also insane, and his two-century rule of the Reydovan Empire reflected this. During the first twenty years of his rule, Joshmaul had ordered the construction for several weapons of mass destruction: The Grazer Cannon on the Absolution, the Death Egg, and the Liberator class juggernauts. They were all completed during his first century as Emperor. However, many of these aforementioned weapons were used against him. Joshua Underwood, his prime minister, betrayed the Emperor in 2501 and used his Death Egg to destroy the Reydovan Headquarters space station. By that time, Joshmaul was already dead...
