| We arrived in Portugal on December 26, and drove from the Lisbon airport to a town called Cascais. A few days later, we picked up our freinds JonE and Muriel at the Lisbon train station. They took a night train from France to spend New Years with us. We drove down to Lagos for a few days and then came back to celebrate in Lisbon. We met a really great guy named Joáo in Lisbon and he showed us around the city and took us to Sintra. | |
| After JonE and Muriel went back to France, Sarah and I drove up to Peniche for a few days on the ocean. We then drove up to Porto and where we shopped and tasted Port Wine. From Porto we went to Covilhã and drove up to the Serra Da Estrela, the highest mountains in Portugal. We then visited a beautiful mountain top village called Marváo which is within the walls of a castle. We flew back to Chicago on January 9 and we already miss the people we met and the places we visited. | |
